Offre più di quel che credevo, anche se il parcheggio e la navetta per l'aeroporto sono i punti deboli. Ma se si è a piedi è perfetto. Alla reception Anisa è molto helpful e in generale sono molto disponibili

Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 9 gen 2013Sito nella zona di LaJolla,che andrebbe visitata,questo Hotel dispone di camere grandi e ben pulite.Nel complesso non potrei lamentarmi se non della rumorosita delle camera che con finestre oramai datate (dispongono di un solo vetro) mi hanno privato di un sonno tranquillo(la finestra dava sul parcheggio).Concludendo,non mi sentirei affatto di sconsigliare questo Hotel.Probabilmente ci tornerei.

Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 6 nov 2012Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, tipico inn americano, stanza pulita, personale cordiale e sempre presente. Posizione ottimale se si ha un'auto. Un grazie speciale a Zania, Diego e Lorena. E' stato davvero un bel soggiorno per tutta la mia famiglia, compresa la mia piccola di 2 anni che non voleva andare via. E' ottimo per famiglie.

Attività
Loews Coronado Bay Resort & Spa offers Gondola Wine Tasting Cruises, aboard Venetian gondolas. Cruises travel the canals of the Coronado Cays. Floating wine seminars include bread, fruit, and cheeses hand-selected by the resort's chef. The resort's sommelier is on board to explain different wine characteristics.
Cruises are operated by The Gondola Company from the resort's private marina and feature a gondolier in traditional striped shirt and ribbon-adorned hat, Italian-style music, and blankets.
Up to three gondolas and 18 guests can participate. The one-hour cruises begin at 5:30 PM every Wednesday. Cost is $45 per person (fees and schedule subject to change). Advance reservations through The Gondola Company are required.

"A solid four stars"
To be a five star it would need a bit more luxury I almost every way. The check in staff and other staff I encountered were very nice and helpful. "Slightly overpriced"
The service of the hotel staffs is good. We stay at the ocean view room but it is just the view of the inland ocean port with no real good view of ocean. Their selling point might be their facilities such as three swimming pools and kids playroom which are very small and average and for sure no 4 stars rating. Loews Coronado Bay Resort was absolutely awesome! I stopped several managers while there to compliment them on their outstanding staff and the overall beauty of the resort! Absolutely every single staff member was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely choose this place when we return! They had a shuttle that take you for free into town of Coronado. […] Everything you need is right there at the resort. We recommend only renting a car when your day trips take you like to SeaWorld or sightseeing the different beaches. Pacific Beach, Mission Beach and La Jolla are beautiful! The beach right out front of Loews Resort is pretty, too. Only a 10 minute walk or they shuttle you in golf carts for free if you want a ride. "A great place to stay and very family friendly!"
My family enjoyed our stay very much. We have three children and they were never bored. My daughter especially loved the bathtub in the hotel! My husband loved the private beach access. I enjoyed the outdoor patio area with the contrast of the fire pits and ocean views. I only have two regrets as follows: booking through a third party and forfeiting […] a daily food allowance for the hotel food and also staying on the first floor, as we had a child staying above us awake and run back and forth every morning before 7 am. Also, by booking through a third party, we were not made aware to the daily incidentals fee. Any unused money was returned, but had I known this information, I could have planned better. "Good but not great"
Best part was hotel was it's pet friendly so we could bring our dogs. Friendly service and nice spacious rooms with peekaboo view of Bay. Nice quiet location with lots of amenities. We were hungry so we ate in the hotel and had a terrible but pricey meal at The Market. Raw cold steak was served and had to be sent back. Fish tacos were dry and flavorless […] (fish was crumbled and looked like ground turkey). If we could do it again we would drive to Coronado and eat at one of the fine dining establishments and have a delicious meal and probably save money. "Decent, but not worth paying full price"
We had a hotels.com credit so we decided to take a staycation here since we love spending time in Coronado and had already stayed at the Hotel del Coronado before. The Loews Coronado is a pretty nice hotel on the outside and the lobby is very fancy, but the rest of the hotel is starting to look a little tired and in need of refreshing. Our room was […] pretty standard, nothing special, but the bathroom was very nice with a big tub and glass shower which both appear to be much newer than the room. I gave the hotel a rating of 3 because of two things: 1) It was very noisy (we woke up 3 times due to people running and screaming in the halls and the kids - we assume - in the room above us decided to run, jump, and pound on the walls starting at 7AM for more than 2 hours. Calls to the front desk were unanswered, so no one informed these people that they were disturbing other guests. 2) This leads me to the other issue which was the service. They only had one person working the front desk when we checked in and had to wait more than 15 minutes to get check in, then the same story when we checked out. Unfortunately the self checkout on the TV was broken, otherwise we would have just used that. When checking out, I mentioned to the woman about the noise overnight and her only response was a mumbled "sorry about that" when looking down at her keyboard. My son and flew in to San Diego from east coast and drove up the coast to Sant Barbara, Monterey, and San Francisco. Loews Coronado Bay is a beautiful resort, in avery nice and convenient location. "Away from the action"
Great resort with no complaints of the actual hotel, services, room, or staff. But I didn't realize how far it would be from all the action on Coronado bay until we got there. The hotel is a few miles from the main island strip, which is okay if you have a rental car, it would have been nice to stay close to that area and walk to the attractions though, […] they provide shuttles out to the main island area though. "fantastic location but remote"
Ladies...bring your showercaps...this is one weird shower that looks fantastic when you first see it...but it's small and designed for a 6'5" guy...so you hair is soaked if you're a normal size woman...they should istall hand held showers...place is lovely...Market to Go is great place to eat...nice that they take dogs and even cater to them..that's […] a nice plus if you travel with your dog friend...the dog in room menu is great idea but expensive and just a nice idea...our dog appreciated it...again, a hidden parking charge...seems to be the norm in San Diego. Room deal was $109 but $25 a night for parking....beautiful location...the young man in Market to Go was fantastic and the gal in the beach shop was also Miss Personality...worth driving there if the price is right with special deal... We reserved the standard room for $189. Upon arrival, I asked if we could get a room with a view of the water. The young lady said no problem and upgraded us to the deluxe room for free. When we opened our room door and saw the beautiful view of the water, we were sooo pleased! The room was very spacious and very nice. The bartender, Bobby, was friendly […] and provided excellent service. We also had room service for breakfast and it was served very quickly (my husband's breakfast enchilada was delicious, but my omelette was a little dry and overcooked and didn't have but one mushroom in it). My only complaint is that I love to take baths in the tub, and the tub was dirty. And you have to pay $25 for overnight parking! And its more for valet. I think overall we would come back again. "not as impressed as I expected"
My hotel room smelled awful when I entered, like an old, sweaty, man. I opened the large slding glass door to help dissipate the smell, but it did not sseem to help. I ordered room service (soup) and was not given a spoon. "Awesome"
The staff and management were polite and helpful. The hotel is quiet and a very beautiful setting. Loved that there was an adult only pool along with the family and kids pools. "Great for families"
We chose Loews for its reputation as a family-friendly hotel, and it did not disappoint. Though a lot of the kids' programs weren't available, as our stay was during the off-season, it was the small details that made a difference. Upon check-in, our room was upgraded without asking. We were offered a choice of crib or playpen for our 1 year old. Parking […] is $25/day, but we were able to self-park in the garage underneath our building, close to the elevator, which went directly to our floor. The 2nd floor room had a view of the pool and part of Coronado Bay/San Diego, with a nice view of the sunrise. Silver Strand State Beach is a 5 minute walk with pedestrian access from the hotel grounds, but there's also a beach shuttle (like a multi-row golf cart) which you can take upon request. We had breakfast at the restaurant and room service the next day, both had a decent kids menu which included a sizeable entree, side, and drink for around $8 or $9. The hotel has 3 pools, one for adults, one for kids, and one for both, all heated. There is a game room and teen lounge which might have been fun if our kids were a little older. There is a large birdcage filled with finches in the hallway that connects the lobby to our building which was fun for the kids. After checkout, we realized we had left behind some children's books and a doll in one of the drawers, and after a phone call, they found our stuff and arranged to have it shipped to us.
