the hotel room was amazing especially after doing the inca trail it was a welcome luxury. Rooms are very spacious and the staff are very nice and helpful. Wish I was staying longer in La Paz to enjoy it! Right out front is a great Plaza, good and safe transportation. Tour buses right across park! Professional and helpful staff and a GREAT breakfast for not alot of money!

The Ritz Apart Hotel is a fantastic hotel! ALL of the staff were very friendly. The breakfasts are amazing and were by the far the best we had during our entire time in South America! The location was great too. It's in a great neighbourhood with lots of little shops plus it's on the Plaza from which the double-deck city tour bus leaves. Importantly, […] it's a 20 minute walk/$3 USD taxi ride from the centre - this is great if there are city protests (as there were while we were there). We were close to the action, but we were not caught in the protests. Overall, the Rita Apart Hotel made a great "home away from home" while in La Paz. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! "Ok hotel, but beware of bed bugs!!"
We stayed in this hotel one night and my husband got bed bugs. As far as La Paz hotels go, it's probably a nice enough room (and the price is reasonable). But the critters stayed with us for 4 days and ruined our experience in Bolivia. We moved to Hotel Europa and were happier...
