while returning I stayed in the hotel. But it is worst hotel during this trip. A frog welcomed for the first floor room. it is quite dirty as well. So changed room but still looks not so good. Breakfast is supplied but not so good except waffle. price does not match to the quality.

IT WAS THE WORST MOTEL I'VE EVER BEEN AT . iT WAS SO BAD ALL TOGETHER, i COULDN'T EVEN STAY THER. YOU SHOULD HAVE NEW MANAGEMENT TO CLEAN UP THIS PLACE. I WILL NEVER STAY AT A DAYS INN AGAIN.

This was one of the most run down hotel rooms i have ever stayed in, holes in the walls, seat cover worn with foam protruding, outlet was so worn laptop plug would not stay in.

The room was very nice , refrigerator was kept sodas very cold which was great , it was clean and comfortable. I only had 2 negative things to say , 1 minor - they didn't place a bath mat in the room and more importantly , we had a late check in , check out time isn't until 11:00 a.m. yet the maid knocked loudly on our door around 9 a.m. to ask if we […] wanted house keeping services ( waking us up ) that was not appreciated , it is my understanding the reason you check out at 11 yet check in isn't until 3 pm is to allow time for housekeeping services. A broken iron, medalsome housekeeping, tried to checkout and no one was at the front desk. They charge you todays prices for a hotel that looks like it hasn't been refurbished in thirty years. My friends truck got broken into while he as checking in. The tv channel selection was minimal which also was old. A dirty microwave and a dirty tub.

"Spotted" toilet was obvious once you raise the seat!! Alarm clock was dusty and sticky. Glad the sheets were clean. Even after a complaint and housekeeping 're-do' when we went to dinner, you'd never know it had been there -- except they took one of 2 hand towels. Oh, the desk chair was ripped and 'leaking' padding.

The staff was very friendly, and helpful. The pool area is very nice.

We were just staying overnight before a long drive back. The room had not been pre-air conditioned so it felt muggy and hot when we first checked in. There were bags of popcorn, chips and snacks left from the previous guest in the night stand, so thorough cleaning is not a priority to them. Only two towels in the bathroom and the toilet did not flush […] properly (had to hold the plunger the entire time to flush). Also, the attached restaurant/lounge wasn't open due to "no bartender"? Basic cold breakfast samplings and the coffee wasn't good. The only positive was the staff behind the counter who were very friendly and knowledgeable. Continua a leggere

When first arriving, hotel staff was helpful and nice. Once in the room though, had to buy febreeze because it had a funky smell. But once there, overall stay was good. Housekeeping was excellent, a spanish lady was helpful.

The staff at this hotel was excellent and willing to bend over backwards for their guest, however the building cleanliness and condition was overall poor. However as a low end hotel stay I've had much worse than this hotel had to offer. The blankets and bed comforters looked like they had been there since the hotel opened a few decades ago. Overall […] I rate this hotel a 2.0-2.5, the staff like I said before is what made the stay for us. The kind lady at the front desk knew we had woken up late and was kind enough to keep the breakfast items out a little longer for us. I must say as an added bonus they do give free high speed internet in your room and that was a must for me as someone who was running a business from my laptop computer. I would recommend this hotel to someone who may not be able to find a room in the Gainsville area, I found it much more convenient than driving to Ocala. Continua a leggere

There was a young man working the desk the nite I checked apr 30. He was absolutely wonderful. Helpful friendly cheery. He did everything he could to make my stay grt. He needs to be recognized for his attitude and hard work. Sorry I didn't get his name but I checked in at 2am on the 1st of may

Was satisified with the room. Would have been better if the facility had a workout room. The continental breakfast did not have alot of variety. Only apples available, no other fruit and one day there was not any fruit at all.

Hotel was easy to find on main highway. There were only 3 hotels that we considered for this area. The guest receptionist was very friendly and helpful regarding the nearby restaurants. The room was clean and nice except for the leaky faucet in the bathtub. The bed had a very comfortable mattress. We were passing through and only stayed one night. Had an event at the European Rally School in Starke and decided to stay at the Days Inn which was reasonably priced as well as well located. Close to good food and other facilities. Beds were confortable and clean as well as the rest of the room. Place could use a lift but everything worked out fine for me and me mates. This motel is right on the main thoroughfare. It is not great but not bad for an in/out stay. I wouldnt consider this for any long stay over. The breakfast was OK but nothing to compare to other Days Inns. The room could have been better maintained.

My family and I came to Starke for a funeral and stayed here. Everything was pretty good except that the Continental Breakfast was somethng to be desired! We have 3 children and they were so looking forward to the waffles, NOT! The waffle iron wasn't cooking the waffles all the way, YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've stayed at this hotel a few different times because I have obligations in the area - this time was the last time. The rooms are run down and filthy - this time there were huge holes in the wall, the showers are always rusty and gross. The staff is nice and the lobby is clean but nothing else is worthwhile. Interior of rooms are worn. Looks like heavy traffic. Did not see volume of traffic. Think they should dress up and clean up insides of rooms. Obvious that theydonot need to revive the inventory of rooms.

The hotel was nice it was in the location we were looking for but it needed some work. The carpet was coming apart by the wall the tiles in the bathroom were cracked and loose. Talk about not being clean, the pool has mold growing on the sides. We stayed for two days because there was not another room available for 50 miles (University of AL was in town playing FL Gators). We left in the morning and when we returned in the afternoon our bed had been stripped and that was all. Garbage was still in the room, no clean towels, […] etc. I called the front desk to ask when our room could be finished and was told that they had no idea, their motel was full and they were busy. We had to travel to Gainesville on a rush , we booked the room 7 days before but all the hotels in Gainesville were full because of the football weekend , therefore i thought the Days Inn at Starke was a good idea , i was wrong , the hotel is disgusting , the bathroom is so dirty that the smell would keep you from entering , the TV and the clock radio […] are from the early 90's . We just checked out and called all the hotels in Gainesville and found a room at La Quinta Inn and ran away from that town. Another thing , be careful when driving through Starke and Waldo in your way to Gainesville , the police will pull you over if you are ONE mile over the limit , these two towns are ominously famous for the speed traps. They advertise a restaurant and lounge and both were closed down. The hair dryers in the rooms look like a 1940's vacuum cleaner hanging on the wall. The mattress and pillows were like rocks. The continental breakfast was disgusting and consisted of a loaf of bread, some Little Debbie cakes, some generic waffle mix that tasted 100 years old and some […] watered down OJ in a coffee dispenser. My air conditioner in the room would work during the day and shut down at night. It literally would not turn on. Like it was on a timer or something. Therefore I woke up sweating every night.
