The location was great. The hotel is within walking distance of major downtown sites. Underground parking ($32 + tax at the time of this review) came with unlimited in-and-out privileges till 4 p.m. the day of departure. The room was clean. There was no mini bar. The water pressure appeared to suffer a little on the 20th floor, but the shower was very […] usable as well as clean. The whirling sound of the fan in the room, however, kept me up a part of the night. The night agent told me that there was no way to turn the fan off. If I wanted to reset the temperature, he said, I'd have to dial the thermostat all the way down and then all the way up twice and then select the desired temperature. The thermostat was not very responsive, and the fan remained loud at a constant speed regardless of temperature. The lobby and some of the elevators had a bad stench from the trash that's piled ten-foot-high in the back alley. Otherwise the hotel smelled fine. Great location for walking to most things. Hotel clean. Room done in all dark colors which made the room dark but did not spend much time in the room. Able to walk to Pike Market, monorail to the space needle, SAM and many other things. Would go back to the hotel in a heart beat.

The staff were very good. The room was what I hoped for. Once inside it is very quiet. The only noise was from the elevator machinery in the walls.

Great hotel in a fantastic location. It is in central downtown, literally up the street from Pikes market. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely furnished. The staff was great and the ambiance was very cool. Next time I'm in Seattle, this is where I'll stay.

Cleanliness awful, quality not worth the money. The housekeeping is much to be desired, glasses were not replaced unless they were placed by the coffee pot, towels were placed on floor for replacement but couldn't even get a bath except for the first day of a 5 day stay, also started with 3 large towels & 4 hand & 4 washclothes and couldn't even get […] but two of each towel the rest of the stay coffee was replaced with decaf only yet the regular was used. Counter where coffee pot was at along with TV was gross. Sheets came loose every night causing a big ball of mess by the morning. We stayed in late one morning and housekeeping staff was very rude and hateful and asked when we were going to be leaving cause she was leaving the floor and wouldn't be back until late. So much for trying to relax without having to be pressured to leave...hello it was only 8:30. At checkout needed to make sure we were charged for any incidentals and we have never faced a more rude checkout in any of our hotel stays through any of our travels. Not once were we asked how was your stay and after the rudeness I wasn't going to tell someone who didn't even care. Continua a leggere

After a long flight from Baltimore, I was ready to order room service and relax by watching a movie. Instead, I waited to check-in for approximately 25 minutes. When I finally got to my room it had a dirty washcloth on the dresser and was not restocked with soap. The main lamp was broken and the room next to an outdoor bar area (very loud). I could […] not locate a room service menu and went to the front desk. I complained about the room to which the front desk replied "sorry you are disappointed, sir" (no action taken to resolve issues). It took several minutes to get a room service menu. I called room service 3 times over the course of 20 minutes and did not get an answer (this was around 8pm at night). I had to leave the room to get food. I was later told that it was a blessing that I did not get food from the restaurant on site as it is "deplorable". The convenience of the hotel is good and the value would be great if the service were better, but honestly I would shell out a few more bucks for a hotel with better management and service. Parking is terrible. The hotel garage doesn't have NEARLY enough space for guests. When I asked about parking in the "reserved" section of the garage on a Saturday night, the clerk said you can't park there because it's reserved for a law firm. When I ask, "on a Saturday night?", she heaved a big sigh and shuffled off to ask someone who knew more than […] the next-to-nothing she knew. Then she said we could park there if we were gone by 7 am Monday... after confirming I had a one-night stay and was leaving in the morning. She'll have a great career in customer service. Then we got to the room and discovered it smelled like disinfectant, and an LCD TV, but only ANALOG, low-def cable. Why bother putting in LCD TVs with that kind of signal? This makes no sense; I haven't seen a hotel of ANY type without digital cable since the 90s. The whole place is a weird mishmash of very outdated 60s architecture updated very awkwardly in a way that's supposed to look trendy but it just looks weird and unfinished. From the restaurant outside to the lobby to the rooms, the Red Lion was a great hotel to stay at. Bath tub could've been cleaner but overall, the room was nice. The only thing I did not like was that I had to pay to park in the hotel parking garage. I came down for a concert and the parking there was free. We had the least expensive room... Booked early... When we arrived they had already upgraded us to a room with a view... With and easy short walk to the Pike Market which needed 2-3 days visit alone... LOL... The Big Wheel, Crab Pot, and a short taxi $7 to the Space Needle... Metro 1 block away... The beds were soft and comfy and the staff was always […] accomodating... We chose to not pay for parking... So we just turned the car into the rental agency and used Taxi's... I woke up sleeping on the mattress because the bed had no bottom sheet. Both of my queen size beds were like this. I will never stay there again.

Great location for walking to all the things we wanted to do. SAM art exhibit, near by stores and Pikes Street Market. Good restaurants near. Room was clean and very comfy, cool roof top bar-cafe to watch the sunset.

We loved it but when we looked under the bed it was dirty. Not only dirty there was a roach(cannabis) under the bed so it made us wonder just how clean the bathroom was along with the beding & bedspread.

Great location and comfortable beds. Our toilet made a dripping noise all night and the hotel seemed to scimp on things like only one robe provided and room was a little outdated. Our biggest surprise was how much the parking fees were, if i would of noticed ahead of time i probably would of stayed elsewhere.

Great hotel, great rooms, great service, for an average rate. The room was worth the money, it just wasn't a great rate! The Elephant and Castle Pub downstairs had good food at a good price. Their new, updated, trendy, so-called restaurant on the 5th floor was more of a upscale lounge. Almost no real food, just appetizers.
