They let us check in early and we were exhausted so that was great. We had to take a lesser room but that was fine. Then hot water in tub would not turn off that night so they moved us to a queen, and a very tiny room it was. Generally I can rent a Quality Inn room with 2 queens, coffee pot, microwave, fridge, table, chairs for $79 with breakfast a […] night. Understand this is NY but seems to me there should be more perks. Had to request a coffee maker and that was all that came with room. No breakfast just one snack machine and one drink machine. Small TV. Understand this is 1st trip to NY and I have not been to other hotels and this one was cheaper than most. In VA, it would be a nice Holiday Inn. My stay was impeccable. I love this hotel. I stayed here many years ago and I guess stopped because it is a little more expensive than some of the others in the area I frequent as well. Very comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, great restaurant adjacent to hotel for breakfast and other meals. Located in a very fun area of the Upper West Side with lots of interesting shopping and wonderful restaurants, most of which have outside dining--very European in feeling. Just blocks from the Natural History Museum and Central Park but […] with subways and cabs, not far from anything! I took the subway to a seminar in the Columbia neighborhood (very far north) every day and got there in minutes. we had a room with 2 double beds. I could see a room with one bed is would be really too small. The beds were very comfy, the room was quiet but we were on the 10th floor. Overall we thought the hotel was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and the neighborhood was perfect. However, the reason we are rating this hotel a 3 instead of a 4 is because the room was really tiny for a family of 4 and the air conditioning unit was terribly loud which made it difficult to sleep. I don't think the room could really […] accommodate two double beds...there should have just been one queen. If they could fix this and also fix the air conditioning unit then we would rate it a 4. Nice, clean hotel; however, the bellmen/doormen not so good. It was pouring rain and several people needed a cab. One doorman simply said that it was very difficult to get a cab from there. We had a wonderful visit at the Lucerne! The staff was lovely and very accommodating. The location is terrific for seeing the city. It's far enough from the crowds but close enough to walk or hop in a cab to broadway and museums.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Great Hotel!"

"A good place to stay in Uptown West"
When we arrived to our room, the room was not made. The linens were folded on top of the unmade bed and the shower had no curtain so we called the reception and they moved us to another room. Overall the size of the rooms is very small but the rooms are clean, well kept and comfortable.This is a good hotel if you need to stay in the upper west side […] of Manhattan. "Very nice stay, excellent service."

"over night"
Found the Lucerne online. Wonderful experience staying there. Room was clean and modern. Would stay again. Only had one issue, the door lock did not work when we arrived but the maintenance guy had it fixed in short order which was a nice surprise. Over all vary nice for the cost.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com
