Nice and clean. No kitchen available is a drawback. Too far from downtown. Affordable fees is a bonus. No public transportation is a serious problem. I don't advise anyone to stay there without a car.

Sono arrivato in questo hotel scendendo dall'Airtrain alle 22:00 ed è stata una esperienza agghiacciante....bande che ti guardavano in cagnesco , txisti abusivi con facce orribili che cercavano di accaparrarti da tutte le parti, taxi regolari inesistenti. Fortunatamente ho chiesto ad un autista d'autobus che mi ha indicato la strada per questo hotel e dopo 800 metri a piedi contornato sempre da loschi figuri ho raggiunto l'hotel che devo dire la verità non era male, anche la colazione continentale non era abbondante ma soddisfacente. In conclusione vi consiglio l'hotel ma arrivate assolutamente con il sole quando il quartiere e vivibile e pieno di gente

l hotel si trova in una buona posizione, vicino alla metropolitana con la quale in poco tempo e' possibile raggiungere times square.personale molto cortese,camere pulite e molto carine. solo la colazione e' un po scadente ma questo non e' un problema in una citta' come new york.

"Air conditioning broken"
Hot air constantly blowing into room. We were told to open the window, that was all they could do. Not acceptable if you ask me.

The staff was wonderful. We had issues with sleeping arrangements and they quickly did everything they could to make our accommodations useable.

the hotel was decent - however their staff are rude and not very friendly/helpful. The restaurant staff were beyond slow.....another couple sitting near us actually walked out :( dont even try to ask for towels for the pool.......YIKES

The Good: Restaurant, nice Pool and Hot tub, pretty good gym, nice bedding + towels, open-able windows The Bad: food problems, room not as clean as I like, slow check in Overall a mixed bag, but good for a few nights

"Beautiful Hotel, Fab Guest Service"
My husband and I enjoyed our getaway stay at this beautiful establishment, it was peaceful, the staff did a wonderful job with the services, and we will surely be back for another visit. Great Job!

"hilton melville, li ny"
hotel was in need of renovation.....also woke up with rash from detergent used on sheets. also smelled smoke in what i thouight was a smoke free room. not happy.

Hotel under going some renovations which only affected us one day but there were several rooms around us involved which was noisy at times. Room could have been cleaner , empty soda bottle on floor next to bed . Opened sofa and food crumbs found. Dirty dishes sat outside of one of our rooms for almost 30 hrs even though several staff members passed […] . When I made the front desk staff aware they took care of it right away . "Renovation and forgotten service"
I have stayed at this Hotel many times before and this was my 1st bad stay. The wing was under construction and workers were working throughout the night. The wing had a paint or varnish smell to it and our room was at the very end of all the rooms that were being worked on. Good service. Rooms are becoming rather shabby and need to be updated - definitely not the quality we expected in a Hilton location. Lobby & restaurant look like they've been updated recently.

"Great hotel"
We stayed one night at this hotel and thought it was great! It was clean and our room did not have any stale odor. We ate at Fuse and the cafe, everything we ate was tasty! We would stay there again.

cons: missing TV remote (staff said they'd bring up another - never happened), bed side lamp was broken and the towel rack was in the shower, breakfast buffet not included. pros: staff was friendly, room was clean, bed was comfy, breakfast buffet was very good worth the price, good location.

"Huntington Hilton"
The lobby of this hotel with the views of the pool is where Hilton spent all the money. There is adequate seating and the restroom was clean. The rooms, however, are small and cramped. The tv was old and took up half of the dresser space. There was not one hook in the bathroom to hang your clothes. The cleaning person took many shortcuts and the cleaning […] of the room was not up to standard, especially considering the cost of the room. As for the ballroom, the venue was fine, but the waiters were overly enthusiastic about cleaning the tables, hovering closely and not letting you finish your meal or your drink before your plate/glass was being taken away.. Two hours before the end of the wedding, all four bars were out of limes and no one bothered going into the kitchen to cut one.. Jennifer at the front desk did respond to my complaints and took action about the cleaning of the room and offered us complimentary breakfast. This is NOT the quality one would expect from a Hilton. All the carpets and hallways smelled musty. There was no continental breakfast included, the pool was constantly overrun by kids (there should be adult-only hours after 8pm). "Worst Hotel That I Ever Stayed In"
Filthy room, non working AC, Tub didn't drain, , remote for TV did not work, beds sagged in the middle, empty tissue box in the room and hair dryer did not work. We only had one bath towel for four people. They told me too many people were requesting towels so we could not get any more. Breakfast room service had to be order before 2am the morning of […] or we could not get any. Waited one hour pluse for my kids to get chicken fingers (they were not understaffed). The waiter gave us the bill before he brought the food delivered to us. We finished our dinner before we received our drinks. There were 7 hosts and multiple waiters for what could not have been more than 10 table dining, they were not understaffed. The Breakfast buffet, it took 20 minutes to get a seat, we were forced to sit with strangers at a 10 top table. We were not given any silverware, coffee or napkins. It was a buffet, but there wasn't any juice to give my children no plates to eat off of and the host that just sat us, gave our seat to someone else as we went up to get our food. As a person that travels a lot, I tell you this from the bottom of my heart, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms are despicable and the service is even worse. I premise this entire letter by telling you they were not understaffed. We did stay at the hotel because of the Irene hurricane and we were booked for two nights. My family and I left after the first night and went back to our house knowing that did not have electricity, rather than stay another night in this filthy hotel. We left the hotel in the middle of the heart of the storm. Oh, by the way, they also allow anyone to charge anything to your room. We were charged $309 in fees that we never charged. "Inefficient and expensive"
We requested a non-smoking room, but got a smoking one. It was after midnight when we checked in, so we didn't feel like looking for a different place. All we got was a sorry, but there were no other rooms available. Even with the window opened and the air conditioning running, the smell of smoke was intense.

"Nice stay"
=otel was very nice, pool was beautiful and great for kids. Staff was very nice, breakfast lil pricey. Only thing I didn't like bed and pillows way to soft, but that could just be my preference. Overall nice stay.

this hotel has the stereotypical facade of a hilton, but not with the amenities i would usually expect. not only did they give us a room at the end of an excruciatingly long hallway, our door was already open when we got there. fairly clean, but we ended up having an extra person that night who called in to ask for a cot (not clean enough to want to […] voluntarily sleep on the floor, of course) and they declined us one, claiming that it was against fire code. also, breakfast is not free, coffee is 1.50 a cup and isn't worth it at all. nice pool, not so friendly staff, but good for a one night stay, relatively close to jones beach. I booked my room in advance it was a king room. When I got there the young lady informed me that the room was taken and that I can have a room with 2 queen beds. Dealing with the public myself I didn't give her a hard time. When I got to my room I didn't expect to see a dirty sheet in my dresser drawer. Book of matches as well as the paper from the […] day before. Then I couldn't order a movie. And there wasn't a remote in sight. Akthough they gave me a free movie and 2 free drinks at the bar. It being my first time at the Hilton I guess I expected so much more. I was really disappointed. Its the hilton luxury I was thinking. Maybe if I spent some more money on a bigger room I don't know. "Hotels.com screwed up"
I made a reservation with hotels.com two months in advance of our stay. The reservation was for two adults and three children, ages 15, 13 and 12. We were told that this room had a pull out sofa and it would accomodate our family of five. When we arrived to check in, we were informed that they had no such rooms available at all in this hotel. Fortunately, […] the manager at the desk was very helpful. It did however require me to pull out my credit card and pay for an additional room for our three night stay. The hotel service was outstanding. Hotels.com I am very concerned with their information. The service representative that I work with when booking this hotel had stated that if the hotel appears after inputing the information about your family and time of your stay, everything is good to go. My suggestion to hotels.com is to update their information and verify it at least monthly. My other thought would be is to look for information on hotels.com for convenience but book your reservation directly through the hotel that you want to stay at to avoid these types of situations. When you stay at a Hilton Hotel, you should be able to expect a certain level of quality. While the pools were beautiful, the restaurant quite good, and the staff were absolutely kind and nice, the rooms were not up to par AT ALL. It was as though the Hilton just purchased this building and forgot to update the rooms to the Hilton standard. Firstly, […] I had requested a smoking king room and when I arrived, they said they could only give me a double smoking room which I reluctantly accepted. They had tacky mobile AC units that BARELY worked due to the central system not running and definitely did not cool the room well or even reach the bathroom, the t.v. was ancient and the satelite was constantly going out due to wind. "At the Huntington Hilton NY is the place"
You can to ask for a better place to stay. Everyone is so polite and very much eager to help. I would recommend the Hilton in Huntington to everyone I know. The pool is wonderful, the locker rooms are also neat and clean. I didn't even need a towel, they supply one for you:)
