The Club room I stayed in was very good and the food and wine provided in the early evening in the Club lounge was excellent, with great views over the water. The only negative aspect of my stay was that the 'gourmet breakfast' in the Club lounge advertised on the hotel flyer, and included in my room rate, did not exist. Avery convenient and well appointed hotel. Bed a bit too firm! Superb breakfast!

Very nice place and staff were very helpful the meal was very nice well worth the money, handy location to all ammenities, I would stay there again.

The hotel was nice and in a good location. There is no washing facilities so if you need to do washing its not the place for you.

Great location, clean, friendly staff but we had a room facing the street and it was noisy all night. We would have wanted the window open as it was pretty hot but couldn't stand the noise. Freeway is right in front. Take your ear plugs or ask for a room in the back.

Always stay here when in Wellington. Ideal location in central Wellington close to restaurants and harbour. Hotel standard is very high.

We stayed here for one night only in January, but were very happy with everything... staff could not have been nore helfupl and the room was pleasant and well appointed. We were near to all the local restaraunts and wine bars and just five mintues away from the wharf and all its delights. Good value for money as well.

Extremely rude staff. Room appeared clean, but bathroom was filthy. Good location and cheap price.

This is a good and comfortable hotel with friendly staff that obviously cares about its standards. It has an extremely convenient location in central Wellington with quick access to the major shopping street and quayside restaurants so most people will be perfectly content. My negatives are being very picky but they do matter to me. The hotel wifi is […] chargeable and staff did not seem to know there was a huge area of free public wifi in the quayside restaurant area 5 minutes walk away. LAN connections are not the standard any more. I also dislike showers over a bath but it is hard to research in advance what you are going to get. The James Cook Hotel, was spectacular with its service and the overall look of the hotel when we arrived. Even though we were there for 1 night we have great service and the room was picturesique to look at. Down fall was the guys who took my car and put it in the parking, they were very receptive. The other issue was the bathroom door squeeked as […] it rolled along the rollers - which was an issue at 2 am in the morning. Overall i would recommend this hotel to anyone going to wellington. The location of this hotel was perfect. We could walk to everything - cable car, museums, restaurants.

My best friend and I stayed at the James Cook Hotel while visiting Wellington. The service is great and the room is very clean. It is close to a lot of stores and restaurants on Lambton Quay, and is walking distance to some tourist attractions like the Te Papa Museum. I will stay at this hotel again next time I visit Wellington.

Service was good, we were able to check-in several hours early which was very convenient. The hotel is older, at least outside looks unpleasant, but the inside is fairly modern and well appointed. The room is comfortable, easy to adjust temperature and lights. I added an extra option (available at the hotel check-in only) that includes breakfast, access […] to the Club Lounge on floor 26 (free snacks) and free wired internet. I felt this was a good deal, unless you do not want to eat at the hotel. However, my portable device does not have a port for wired internet. So for wireless internet, as in much of NZ, there is additional cost and very expensive. It was only available in prepaid options of 30 minutes, 1 hour or 3 hours. At least it was available in the rooms which is convenient. The restaurant is excellent. Apart from the great breakfast buffet, I ate there for dinner once, and the food and service are great. The views from the restaurant are nice too, since it is in a higher floor. For location, it is very convenient. If you take an elevator past the lobby, you can go down to Lambton Quay directly. This is also used by non-hotel guests also. The famous Wellington cable car entrance is just a few meters north from the hotel entrance on Lambton Quay. The Te Papa Museum of NZ is also walking distance from this entrance, as is the Parliament and many shops and restaurants on the pier. The only negative item about the location: I was there during a weekend, and this area is almost dead, very few people even during the day, although businesses are open. Arrived early and room was ready. V Clean, tidy and central. Departing flight was not until the evening. Reception obliged with a complimentary 2 hour late check out. Limited free parking so not great if you have a vehicle. Plenty of taxis at the front door though. Deserves a 4* rating. Good refurbishment. We went to a rugby test match at the Westpac Stadium. The hotel was within easy walling distance. We found the hotel a lot better than I first thought it would be. The deal we got allowed us to use the club room and have a breakfast inclusive. The range of food and quality was excellent. I would recommend this Hotel to everybody.

The hotel was easy to check in to & the staff very professional. Nice to have a drink in the lobby bar & watch the going-on's. Easy access via lift to Lambton Quay for shopping and close to restaurants etc. Also a convinient dairy across the road. Overall was impressed with the accommodation...my only suggestion would be bigger tv's!

We chose to upgrade to a club room and found this extremely worthwhile. The extra faclities in the lounge - breakfast, internet access, evening wine and nibbles and a comfortable place with a good view of the harbour to enjoy coffee and tea and a range of magazines and a large TV added to a very comfortable stay. We dined in the Sojourn Restaurant quite […] late at night and had great service and tasty, well prepared food at a reasonable price.The hotel has gone "green" and therefore gives you options to help save resources, however I do think the guests should have at least two bath towels available if they do require them. THE SERVICE WAS OF A HIGH STANDARD,HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Arrived at the James Cook at almost midnight Friday. Easy to find after a short drive from Bluebridge Terminal (thanks to GPS). Room faced onto an interior area. So not much of a view but very quiet. Breakfast next morning was very nice full buffet and or continental are almost the same price. Attached parking building was a bonus. Plenty of room just […] to drive in. All undercover. Great because it was bucketing down for a good part of the weekend. Extraction fan in the bathroom only worked when the noisy aircon was on. Kept us amused trying to figure it out. We had a lovely time at the James Cook Hotel (May 2010). Good location in the centre of Wellington right on the main shopping street, close to the harbour area. Booked a club room and well worth the extra cost, with the drinks in the club lounge on the 26th floor as the sun sent down over Wellington harbour a real treat.

仕事で４泊しましたが、比較的部屋が広くてとても快適でした。周辺にコンビニが数店あり、スーパーマーケットも少し距離がありますが、歩いていける距離にあって利便性には優れていると思います。また仕事の空き時間に徒歩で周辺を散策しましたが、ガイドブックに載っているような名所のいくつかは徒歩で行くことができその点でも立地はよかったと思います。すぐ隣のノボテルとどちらに泊るか迷いましたが値段にあまり差がなかったのと、現地の用件先の方に勧められてこちらを選びました。大正解でした。

Perfekt hotell som ligger nära till allt. Allt fungerade alldeles utmärkt även med ett liten 6 månaders bebis. Det finns två utgångar från hotellet och om man inte använder main lobbyn så kommer man ut direkt i affärsgatan. Det fanns även en jättebra kinakrog vid denna uppgång till hotellet. Vi hade med oss bil och fick välja på att parkera själva eller […] låta conferencieren parkera och betala en dygnskostnad till hotellet (helt överkomligt pris). I och med att vi bodde mitt i staden så behövde vi bara ta ut bilen en gång när vi gjorde en heldags utflykt till lower hut, Mount Victoria och Wellington Zoo. Frukostbuffén var helt okay men priset var kanske lite i överkant som det ofta är när den inte ingår i rumskostnaden. Det är även gångavstånd till Wellingtons botaniska trädgård. Continua a leggere

斜面に建つホテルで、車寄せは西側にあり、ロビーへ通じる。東側ラムトンキーに通じる通用口はロビー階から5階ほど下にあり、専用エレベーターで結ばれている。（客室へ行くエレベーターは別でセキュリティー設備あり。）通用口を利用すれば、観光、買物、飲食には非常に便利。ケーブルカー乗場、空港バス停も至近。日曜日に宿泊したが、近くにスーパーがあったので、サラダ、パン、ワインを買ってホテル室内で夕食を済ませた。ホテルの対応はビジネスライクだが問題なかった。

Rymliga, trivsamt inredda run med gångavstånd till de centrala delarna av stan. Mycket bra frukostbuffe

2010年宿泊し小4の子供からまた泊まりたいと要望され選択しました。何と言ってもロケーションが良い。テラス側からもラムトンキー側からもすぐにアクセスでき買い物・散歩に便利です。部屋は清潔、掃除も行き届いています。スタッフの対応も良かったです。

Great Hotel. For people who have car you have to pay a $18,00 fee per day. Everything is nice and the location is good, not the best.

o hotel está bem localizado, tem boa estrutura mas os quartos definitivamente não comportam 4 pessoas! são pequenos e com 2 camas de viúvas, comprei um apto quadruplo, somos um casal e 2 filhos adolescentes e se já nao houvesse pago a reserva teria ido para um outro hotel com aptos maiores.
