It was great value compared to anything else in this category. Its proximity to Darling Harbour is great but the closest train station is about 1.5km away which is annoying. The other issue was that both the pool and gym were closed for maintenance during my stay - which wasn't much of an issue for me but if it is advertised on the site I would have […] expected those facilities to be available. I really prefer to have an apartment to stay in for business than a hotel room and this worked perfectly with this location. Conveniently located too!

I found this an excellent apartment. Very large and well equipped, including dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Hotel located only 5 mins walk from darling harbour

The hotel building is really interesting, it had old style wooden beams going from top to bottom floors. It must be an heritage building. The room had a quite modern decor. Kitchenette was clean and all working. There was a foxtel where you can watch the free channels. We watched a few good movies through that. No problem with service. It was raining […] when we were there so we were glad to find that there was an undercover footpath from the hotel to harbourside shopping centre on darling harbour. Great service from the oaks. Friendly staff who were only too happy to help and answer questions when needed. Perfect location for us who were attending the Presence Conference 2012 at the Sydney Convention centre. Easy walk and convenient!! Thank you to all the staff who helped make our stay an enjoyable one!

Loved the location. The fact that we could go to 2nd floor of the hotel and walk over a walkway to Habourside to shops, museums ect then walk to the end of the harbour and jump on the pyrmont ferry to Circular Quay. On the way going under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and then getting off where we then hopped on the Manly ferry. Fantastic location. The rooms are clean but they dont change linens everyday. Quite far from darling harbour especially if you are tired from the flight. I dont recommend this to families with young children.

Unfriendly staff, smelly room, stains on sofa, stains on carpet, hotwater in shower goes from freezing cold to burning hot while showering. Tv, microwave, oven all from the 90s, water was leaking into hallway. No lightbulbs in 3 of the lights in the room.

Fabulous location, but we were very disappointed by the very dated apartments. The first 'suite' we were given had a very mouldy smelly bathroom, frayed carpets, scratched furniture, big holes in the walls, a sofa bed that you couldn't sit on in the lounge as it collapsed, and the other sofa had a cigarette burn in it, despite it being a no smoking […] hotel?! After much negotiation we were moved to a better apartment. The apartments that look over the harbour have a great view, but the main road below is very noisy. Also, not impressed that they needed a photocopy of my ID? (all the other places we stayed just scanned my passport and didn't need a paper copy) On the plus side, the apartments were very clean and serviced to a high standard on a daily basis. Convenient location to the business districts in Ultimo & Prymont. Reasonable rates. Close to Darling Harbour & CBD. Would definitely stay again

Great place, in great surrounding area.

Good location close to the CBD. Room was clean but tired looking. Old fashioned TV and furniture that was past its use by date. Bedroom comfortable but bathroom could do with an update. Hotel staff were courteous and helpful. Overall rating good mainly because of the hotel's location. With a bit of updating the hotel would be great.

Extremely comfortable and clean. Very handy to all facilities city centre, entertainment centre, transport and Darling Harbour. Couldn't fault it.

Stayed there last year in February and returned this year. Will be hopefully coming back next February. Having an apartment style accommodation is excellent. Has all it takesto make a comfortable stay. So close to public transport.

The hotel is quite near the Darling Harbour. It is comfortable and clean. The building is history more than 200 year. Insaide is modern. I love it very much. Next time I will chose it.

Although pricey, this place is well worth the $$'s if you are attending an event at the Exhibition/Convention Centre, or need to be close to Darling Harbour in general. There are several walkways over to DH, so if it rains on your 5 min walk over, you still won't get wet. (very handy if you're carting along display material from an exhibition!). There […] is also a tram and monorail at the door of the complex - very convenient! I had read mixed reviews about the condition of these apartments, but thankfully mine was in good nick (apt 917) with a nice view of the city! The rooms and kitchen were a decent size and the couch was good to flop on and watch tv, during the one moment of rest during my stay! If you're tired from walking all day, there is a great remedial massage place adjoined to the building on level 2, called Gold Star. The Oaks complex itself has a pool and gym which is open early morning till 12am, which is great if you are trying to sneak in a work out between other activities. Oaks has it's own cafe, but it didn't look very exciting! Next door to Gold Star there is a funky little place with fresh juices and snacks, but only use it as a stop-gap! The world is your oyster only a short walk away in Darling Harbour. If you feel like a night in, you can also get takeaway menus from reception and they will deliver to the hotel. There is an airport shuttle for $28 each way, so contact the Oaks prior, to arrange a pick up (I didn't know, so I took the train/monorail in!). Overall this was a great stay. Fantastic location, good facilities and very pleasant, helpful front desk staff. Only one thing let this place down and that was the cleaners. Although they topped up the toiletries etc, there was not much cleaning done unfortunately. At the price I paid, I would expect better, but apart from that, everything was great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing to be in close proximity to DH. Continua a leggere

Excellent proximity to Sydney CBD, BUT very quiet. Rooms far better than expected, would not consider staying anywhere else when in Sydney & have stayed in numerous hotels in & around Sydney. Brilliant value!!

The hotel was great location to Darling Harbour. Short walk over the footbridge and it takes you straight to the monorail station down stairs and your at The Hardrock Cafe. The parking instructions were a little confusing but once we found the Harbourside Parking Station we were ok. Had a little kitchenette and washing machine so suitable for a longer than one night stay. I stayed for 3 nights with my families. What I want to say.. Great location but terrible service. The reception and housekeep didn't receive phone call at all, so I have been come down and up several times to request to make the bed (from sofa bed) and clean up. Actually, it should be ready before check-in. Finally they finished it at 11pm. Unbelievable!! […] They said they were busy but I am sure not only this hotel is busy. For any request, they didn't get the phone call, so I always had to come down and up until check-out. All staffs were not friendly either. Great location but terrible serivce. Some aspects of the establishment need refurbishing. The Foyer and Reception area is looking a bit tired and first impressions are very important. The Swimming Pool and Spa is very nice and our Studio Apartment was clean and well appointed. Perhaps more staff in reception during peak times might be helpfull.

This place was the best we have ever stayed.

We had a great time at the Oaks, the very convenient location meant we were only a stones throw from major Sydney attractions. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped!

Excellent location, easy access to transport, attractions and food. Interior does look a little like a prison. My room looked onto a carpark and the bedroom onto the central interior walkway, which was nosiy if someone walked by, but this didn't happen too often late at night. A good, cheap deal will make it worth it for the location.

The location of the apartments are just a 2 min walk from the monorail/tram and 5 mins from Darling Harbour shops and restaurants. The corridors look like a prison lock-up but the 1bed apartment we stayed in was very modern, spacious and well equipped. We found Sydney quite expensive to eat out, so found a supermarket and bought breakfast items to cut […] down on spending, One downside is the lifts are very slow and it took us 15mins to get from the 3rd floor to reception to check out! Goos facilities in room adequate for 2 3rd person sleeping in lounge not ideal for couples with a child as lounge is at opposite ends of the hallway

My family and I had stayed there for 3 nights. The location is good and it is within walking distance to Darling Harbour. Chinatown is within working distance. Maintenance and condition of the apartment is clean. I would say we had a comfortable stay there.

My wife and I booked this hotel on line and were very surprised to find how good it was! We have done a fare bit of travelling hear and abroard and this hotel is now high on our list! Rooms are large and clean and have nice decore, The Tv was a bit of a challenge to use but we figured it out without asking for help. Checking in and out is a little slow […] when busy but staff were friendly and helpfull. The parking is across the other side of the street and a little tricky to carry suitcases back to the Hotel, suggest you drop them off at front of hotel first and then park yor car. Only 10 - 15 minute walk to Darling Harbour and attractions and 20 minutes to Town Hall Station or QVB building (well worth looking and the shops are good too!) Our window view of the city was a bonus! Hotel is great value for your money for Sydney prices and we plan to stay there again over the New Year break, Continua a leggere

The reviews about these apartments that I read were mixed but I very much enjoyed my stay here. It was a little difficult to find and they should put more effort into describing how to get there. I arrived and departed at difficult times but there was no problem at all in storing my luggage at the apartments. My rooms were great. Spacious, clean and […] appointed as described. Great location. Directly outside the monorail and light rail station. 5 min walk to Darling Harbour. Room was clean and comfortable bed. However they have the rudest staff ever. If you try to call front desk from your room it just rings out. Takes an eternity to check in and out. Needs better staff
