La colazione era poco varia e scarsa. Poco attenti alla pulizia dei tavoli nei cambi degli ospiti durante la colazione. La camera confortevole e pulizia giornaliera con cambio asciugamani e lenzuola a giorni alterni.

L'hotel 17 è un'ottima scelta per un soggiorno a New York, con un eccellente rapporto qualità rapporto/prezzo. La posizione è tra i suoi pregi migliori, logisticamente comodo per spostarsi anche a piedi sia verso il nord che verso il sud di manhattan, e il quartiere offre una vasta scelta di ristoranti e locali per cene e colazioni. Le camere sono abbastanza grandi e pulite, il bagno condiviso non lo abbiamo praticamente mai trovato occupato e sempre pulito.

L'hotel è nuovo e si trova in una buona posizione, a due passi dal Madison Square Garden e da Times square. La camera era grande ed i letti molto comodi. Uniche due pecche significative sono state, la wifi in camera funziona molto male (meglio nella lobby) e il pavimento che non è mai stato lavato (i calzini antiscivolo delle bambine erano neri dopo 5 minuti). Inoltre non vengono forniti accessori da bagno tipo le cuffie per fare la doccia.

Bellissima permanenza, punto ideale per visitare la città collegatissimo e a due passi dalla 5th. Camera non enorme ma comfortevole, sempre pulita e molto curata nell'arredamento. Albergo ad altissimo livello, se avete qualche soldino da spendere andateci. Enjoy NYC

"PLEASE!!!! HEED THE REVIEWS!!!"
In an emergency, we booked before we read the reviews... BIG mistake! So we went in hoping for the best, but obviously prepared for the worst. YES... it's all old, from the carpet to the TVs... which I thought might be a connection to 1972, most channels were so snowy. I would say our room was sufficiently clean... and we would have been satisfied, […] if not for the 'crusty cuban cockroach carcass' that lingered in our hallway for several days. Ug... feeling nauseous all over again. These were ALL minor infractions... the unforgivable problem was the seriously PAPER THIN walls... and the fact that there is a cheesy 'in hotel' club ... when it closes on the weekend the parties continue in the surrounding rooms. YES.... we endured 4 looooooong nights of this, and we certainly would have changed hotels, but since we booked through HOTELS.com.... it was ALL non-refundable. We actually WASTED our '1 nite free' at this dive... so frustrating. All this makes the Continental breakfast of a little fruit and a day old muffin a complete delight!!! Continua a leggere

"Royal Regency-good for 1 night"
I stayed at Royal Regency one night after an event in Yonkers. It was good for the price-simple room and nice lobby decorated for the holidays. The continental breakfast wasn't the best but it was complimentary so I can't complain. There were a couple of stains in the shower but all in all, we had a pleasant visit.

Hotel does not merit the daily rate. Too crowded with so many weekend events making parking so difficult

Typical short-term stay decor, but clean, friendly staff, nice buffet continental breakfast, easy highway access ... will return next time I'm in the area!

Could hardly turn around in the bathroom it was so small - The breakfast room could stand a little upgrading in looks and food.

We stayed at this hotel and it was nice and clean. The rooms were really small though and the sink was in the main room. The bathroom was tiney and the matresses were uncomfortable. But the price, location and cleaniness were good.
Very disappointed. Stayed at the Regency over a weekend when there were outside parties going on. The noise from the bands especially on Sat night was intolerable. The walls were literally shaking the music was so lound. When I inquired at the front desk if they could do something about the noise level, they pointed to a pre-printed sign on the counter […] apologizing for the inconveninece. Obviously this has happened in the past and hence they were ready with thier conveninet sign. They did offer us a room on the second floor, but who felt like packing up everything and goint to the second floor whree I am not so sure that it would be any better. After the band stopped playing all I heard was people running up and down the corridor above us. Overall my worst experience staying at a hotel. Excellent location right off NY thruway, very clean and comfortable room, well maintained. Only downside was tight parking on saturday nite because of on-site niteclub and some noise issues.
"Not a bad hotel for the price"
The hotel is nice, clean. For the price we spent it is good. My main problem would be the funny smell. Although the hotel looks nice, it smells old. Perhaps potpourri or citrus cleaning products will help. Maybe redoing the carpets…just suggestions. I give it about 3+1/2 stars despite the smell.

"Don't Do It"
Requested and confirmed non-smoking room, but got a smoking room and was told it was because I booked online, despite showing them confirmation to the contrary. My hunch from spending a brief few minutes in the lobby is that all of their rooms are or have been smoking rooms. This place is a dump. Don't book.

"Close to everything we needed"
The hotel met our needs. We booked handicapped equipted bathroom. The walk in shower could have been improved by having a hand held shower attactment, without the hand held it required having someone to assist you with the water controls. We had a late arrival (10:30 PM) and there was a very loud party going on. We were checked into a room on the first floor and immediately returned to the front desk, as the noise level was not acceptable. I really enjoyed my stay at Royal Regency. I went for the weekend and unfortunately it rained every night which made it difficult to sightsee. The hotel was better than I expected, especially for the price. The front desk staff was helpful. The staff warned us that they having some parties the night we stayed and it may be loud. But, we had no noise issues. I've had better with respect to the continental breakfast.

The hotel provided a comfortable clean room for the price especially during the United Nations General Assembly. The location is not adequate for business person as it is too far from the nearest train station. The Hertz rental car on site is an added advantage for business person. It came very handy for me as I have to conduct few businesses in West […] Chester county. This hotel is acceptable as a place to stay when you can't make other arrangements. It is rather old and seriously needs updating. The carpets need shampooing and I noticed the bed blankets are old with cigarette burns on them. "If you are only expecting to sleep there it's fine"
I was definitely unimpressed. I walked up to the counter - the only person there and 4 people behind the counter. No one said anything to me for more than 10 minutes. Finally, I looked someone in the eye and said "Hi" and got some service. Parking is $15, no continental breakfast, halls smell of some kind of bubble gum flavor cleanser. Not impressed. THE HOTEL WAS FINE. The room was a little run down, but adequate. The location to the Saw Mill River Parkway and Rt. 87 was ideal - easy on and off.

The service was very poor, they had a woman who had just started checking guests in, she had no idea how the hotel was working and gave little to no information about the hotel. Upkeep left much to be desired. Drawer handles of many drawers missing, light switches partially broken and hotel vending machine was malfunctioning. The staff were very polite and fairly helpful. So if upkeep was improved it is good value for money. "Great Hotel"
The Hotel was a great value and clean the staff was great and the steak in the resturaunt was wonderful. I highly reccomend this hotel ,I travel around 40 weeks a year for business and will always stay here when in the area.

The hotel was acceptable. My stay coincided with two weddings which I was not a part of and my room felt the vibration of the music, not only from the weddings but from the hotel club. "Pleasant night"
In all, the Royal Regency is a nice place. It's comfortable and relaxing, the price wasn't too bad, and the room was clean and tidy. It is a bit old, so it kinda has a 'lived in' feeling. That doesn't mean it's run down, but it didn't feel very modern to me. Not a detriment at all, just an observation. The breakfast left something to be desired. This a beautiful hotel. Very inexpensive. Nice, quiet and very clean. The staff were very pleasant and accomodating. Would definitely rent from them again.
