The only bad thing is that there is no free wi-fi in the whole hotel. 10$ a day for wi-fi or 6$ for 15 minutes at 2nd floor (they made me pay 2$ for each printed sheet!!). On the other hand, the receptionist are extremely helpfull and kind and the position is almost perfect. recommended.

l'albergo è ubicato in posizione centralissima sia per lo shopping che per i monumenti, a due passi da tutto sia a piedi che con i mezzi pubblici.si trova proprio accanto a Gino,una delle pizze più famose e buone di chicago,il che è una bella comodità.il personale del frontdesk e il concierge meritano un elogio per lo splendido lavoro e la gentilezza […] con cui lo svolgono.i fattorini sono gentili, sempre pronti ad aprire le porte,mai invadenti.il valet parking è caro ma in linea con i prezzi di downtown,comunque proprio di fronte all'albergo c'è un self-park per risparmiare un pò.bellissima la terrazza del bar all'ultimo piano, soprattutto la sera in estate per bere un drink. il problema maggiore è stata la cameriera che ogni mattina ci ha svegliato prima delle8 bussando ripetutamente alla porta ed anche aprendola.abbiamo cercato i biglietti "non disturbare" ma in camera non c'erano. forse per clienti d'affari è un orario normale, ma non per una famiglia in vacanza con un bambino di due anni!!!l il fatto più grave è che sia accaduta la stessa cosa anche il giorno del check out, in cui non c'era proprio motivo perchè tanto alle11 avremmo lasciato la camera. la camera era ampia, moderna, al 25piano con bella vista(non eccezionale).i vetri in parte apribili rendevano la stanza non perfettamente insonorizzata.Il bagno,abbastanza piccolo soprattutto per un4 stelle,aveva uno scarico rumorosissimo. i prodotti da bagno sono stati sostituiti ogni giorno.gli asciugamani erano duri e soprattutto non 100%cotone, ma 15% acrilico e lasciavano i capelli pieni di peli bianchi.minibar con ampia scelta.sveglia senza dock per ipod,bella tv con molti canali.scarsa la qualità delle lenzuola e anche l'uso delle coperte (in america anche i tre stelle hanno piumini).meravigliosi i cuscini.colazione a pagamento, anche più cara di altri4stelle di downtown; internet a pagamento; acqua a pagamento; chiamate locali a pagamento; parcheggio a pagamento. altro problema, non indifferente è la presenz Continua a leggere

Ottima la posizione, buone la pulizia ed in generale il confort. Unico neo la regolazione dell'aria condizionata. Hall piuttosto piccola, ma per quel che serve... Simpatico il bar sul tetto.

Posizione ottima per visitare la città e lo shopping. Ambiente luminoso, confoirtevole e professionale. Complessivamente tranquillo anche nei piani bassi (6°) unico disturbi il condizionatore un po' troppo rumoroso. il parcheggio è molto costoso. Lo consiglierò a tutti gli amici.

Ubicazione ottima...10 minuti a piedi dal loop e dal pier. A 30 metri dal mag mile con tutti i suoi negozi e ristoranti. Consigliatissimo

Aside from the most ridiculous and non-sensical toilet paper stand I have ever seen, this hotel is pretty good. The vent blows cold wind right into your face as you lie on the bed, so we had to turn the fan to "auto" (prevent it from blowing constantly), since there is no "off" option. hotel staff very friendly and efficient. room very modern and comfortable. very quiet considering city centre. will recommend, and stay again.

My stay at the Affinia Chicago was great. By far one of my best buys on hotels.com. I stayed in a studio room which was very modern and chic. I had a standard room,but it was designed like a mini suite. One of my fa protection stays to date,and less than a block away from Michigan Ave.

Would definitely stay here again.

The front desk was on task!

Stayed at this property many times when it was The Barkley Hotel and always enjoyed it. Now totally remodeled and updated. Legit 4 Star!

We were very well satisfied with our hotel stay at Affinia in Chicago. It was a very comfortable and clean room and within walking distance of many of the places we wanted to visit during our stay. Our 15-year-old daughter loved the room we had and the fact that the hotel had Philosophy bath products!

New small boutique hotel just block from Michigan Avenue. Dog friendly and people friendly hotel in the close to the Northwestern Hospital complex. Beautiful modern but comfortable decore. Staff says hello and good bye everytime I came and went. Dog fee was minimal at $25 and street parking was available at a fraction of the valet price.

I loved the Affinia hotel! It was beautiful, spacious, modern, and comfortable. The parking is expensive $52, but it is for 24 hours. I liked the convenience of leaving the car there all day and just walking everywhere we needed to go. We didn't need to wait until 3pm to check in, our room was ready by noon. the staff was helpful recommending places […] to eat and even called to make reservations for us. The only thing I was not crazy about was their food. Room service took almost 30 minutes to call us back after I tried calling the first time and the food reminded me of hospital food. Overall, for the deal I found on hotels.com no one could beat with what the luxury and location of the Affinia. I would most certainly come back, just eat elsewhere. Continua a leggere

This is a gods hotel well located for exploring the city. But why no free wifi when every coffee shop and store in town has it? Also we were put off using the roof top bar because tables had been reserved- for guests who never showed up. Also it was a cool evening and were not offered use of the heaters. The room was nice and the night manager was really wonderful. The only thing inwoild warn people about would be the mini frigg that they have in the rooms. We put some milk in there for mynson and the milk went warm and gave my son food poisoning. But the manager was wonderful to us and even walked tonwalgreens and got my son some g-rade.

Although there was a problem with my check in due to a hotel error, I still give them a 5 for ensuring my stay was pleasant. Very convenient and very posh rooms.

We needed a hotel to stay at that was close to Northwestern hospital because our baby had to stay a few days longer, and luckily this wonderful hotel is right next door. The customer service is wonderful. They upgraded our room to the studio suite because they couldn't initially find our Hotels.com reservation, and when we needed to stay an extra night, […] the manager made sure to save us a room even though the hotel booked up. We found this Hotel to be in a great location. Room was very clean & service was good. Restaurant food was reasonably priced and a good place to eat at. Beds were extremely comfy with soft pillows.

Rooms are out-dated, but hotel is in a great location. Close to restaurants, bars and shopping.

What a nice experience here and will definitely return to The Affinia whenever I return to Chicago. Ample size room, nicely decorated, very friendly, available, helpful service oriented staff. Just one-half block from Michigan Ave and from much more expensive hotels w/o any loss in amenities, conveniences, etc. What a find!!

Booked this hotel on a budget so we were a bit sceptical. That was quickly put to rest, the hotel was awesome!! Great location, very friendly staff, super comfortable, and very clean. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

I had a problem with the window shade in my room that took a long time resolve. Otherwise I really enjoyed staying in this very well-appointed and conveniently located hotel. The restaurant downstairs is also fantastic. I highly recommend it to adventurous foodies. I experienced some wonderful flavors.

With modern sleek styling the bashed in lamp shades, broken curtains, and no light in the closet unless you completely SHUT the door, it seemed tired and lacking. Did love the sheets, custom and pillows and such. One saving grace. They soaked us for parking which wasn't mentioned before we arrived. SO.....

The Affinia exceeded our expectations. I knew it would be nice but am impressed with how nice. We arrived late, and received a very welcoming response, first by the valet, then the doorman and then the front desk staff. All were so friendly. We asked about somewhere casual nearby for couple of beers and were directed to a really good place just a few […] blocks away. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite and was really nice, clean and comfortable. Then when we checked out we had our bags held by a super nice bellman and got our car from an amazingly friendly valet. I almost forgot to mention that the location was perfect too. We - two retired persons of indefinite age- stayed recently in the Affinia for 5 days. the hotel/suites are really very suitable fo ra short stay in chicgo - very centrally located, just of the Magnificent Mile, with its shops and restaurants. Service from staff we encountered was excellent, always helpful. Room( junior suite) very spacious with a sitting […] area. no cooking/kitchen facilities, though and this might have been appreciated. Becuase of its situation, next to a major hospital, and traffic, there was a fair amount of noise - even on the 17th floor. But this was tolerable. No restaurant for brekky, and we found bar prices to be on the high side. but would stay again and recommend it, especially given its good price.. Continua a leggere

We liked this hotel before Affinia took it over and thought we booked it for a steal last weekend. Turns out it was a good value, but not an outstanding one, mostly because the facilities themselves were somewhat tired. A few nice touches like the pillow menu and a comfrotable bed helped make up for minor ceiling damage, balky pipes, and bathroom wallpaper […] that looked like red metallic wrapping paper. This hotel is located right off of Michigan Avenue in the heart of shopping. Easy to catch a cab at anytime. Hotel also has a very trendy penthouse bar with excellent views of the city.
