Da diversi anni utilizzo questo hotel per le mie vacanze assolutamente non pretenziose ma quest'anno la disorganizzazione ha superato se stessa.Hanno accettato un pagamento cash per il parcheggio della macchina senza rilasciare ricevuta e poi me l'hanno addebitato una seconda volta sulla carta...non è servito a nulla il mio reclamo....non tornerò più […] anche se non posso dire che l'albergo fosse in una brutta posizione. Per chi desidera stare al centro di Miami beach sicuramente non è l'albergo che fà per loro. Servizi di portineria e ricevimento discreti, colazione povera, piscina pessima, le foto delle camere non fanno fede a quella che è la realtà, sono vecchie e mal funzionanti, per non parlare dei bagni.... sicuramente da evitare

Assolutamente soddisfatto dell'hotel.Molto gentili,disponibili,soprattutto al ristorante.La camera è come si vede nelle foto,non si può dire che siano asettiche come delle sale operatorie,ma nel complesso pulite e spaziose.I prezzi al ristorante erano assolutamente concorrenziali e si mangiava benissimo e,cosa non da tutti.....dentro delle vere auto […] anni '50,bellissime!Purtroppo il mio soggiorno si è dovuto interrompere x un grave lutto subito da me,e mia moglie è dovuta restare da sola ancora 3 gg.Accortisi di ciò,al ristorante le sono stati offerti sempre colazione e cena!In più,non è vero che l'hotel fa pagare in anticipo e anche se non si utilizzano,28$ al giorno a testa la SPA e 10$ al giorno per camera per il resort!Altissimamente cosigliato!Penso di ritornarci sicuramente!Grazie! when I went on line it said you had a gym no gym and I was looking for that but everything else was good the help was nice and friendly'. One more thing I called the day before and ask do you have a tennis court who ever answer said no tennis court right across the street so I left my tennis rackets at home so I had to rent some.

I happened to check in around 11pm. Teenagers all over the place...prom night. One clerk at desk..very efficient. Patient too. Read the kids the riot act. My room was in the corner..no view. Get what you pay for. Breakfast...had to walk through the 50-60's bar/restaurant. Breakfast buffet for $10 was decent. Had to keep track of a server for drink refills..but […] no big deal. WORST PART of this place..it's a 50s-60's theme and you have to suffer through listening to LOUD HISPANIC MUSIC. REALLY! If it's a 50-60's them..then play the appropriate music. POOL....very uncomfortable, cheap plastic loungers..no chairs. Pool is old and cracked. Ok for an overnight stay....but this place is not for everyone. Continua a leggere

This is an older high-rise hotel on the north end of Miami Beach. The good part is that staying here was a lot less expensive than other choices in the area. The bad part is that it's about 80 blocks north of the art deco district and the happening part of Miami Beach and there's really nothing within walking distance. The lobby is huge and has a high […] ceiling. Our ninth-floor room was fine and had a nice view to the west. We stayed here two nights. The first night it was raining and the restaurant in the pool area in the rear of the hotel saved us from having to go out in the weather. The food wasn't great and the people manning the place didn't speak much English, but we got a pizza and were able to have a passable dinner for less than $20. Breakfast was not included, but they had a breakfast buffet for $8 or $10. Another positive is that the hotel's WiFi was very strong. It looked like it would have been a maze to get to the actual beach from the hotel, which would have taken you through the sunken area around the pool and then back up again. I was surprised that there's no ramp at the front entrance, so you have to lug your baggage up eight or 10 steps to get into the hotel. Continua a leggere

The staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel and room were clean. Two issues we had were the bed, although comfortable, made a terrible sound when moving around even slightly. My girlfriend could not sleep all night but I slept fine. The other issue was the water temperature in the shower would not stay constant for more than 20 seconds. I wanted a "cheaper" hotel for the three days before our recent cruise. Although I did not seem to take into account the amount of cheap this hotel provided. Although the view from our room was great, the glass was dirty, which was just plain disappointing. The hotel staff seemed semi nice, but were unwilling to check us in three minutes before 2, forcing […] us to wait in a line of eight or nine people, once they finally opened. The resturant in the lobby was old and dated, and old fifties theme, but the cars were rusty and the presentation was terrible. The pool was very cold and full of sand, and the hours of the bar by the pool were random to say the least, we tried to go to a happy hour and found the bar closed, on a friday night, during spring break. We stayed one night prior to boarding a cruise and wouldn't reccommend this hotel for any longer. The highlight was the park next to it and a wonderful Venezuelan restaurant within walking distance. It helped us forget about the hair clogged shower that would back up with yellow water.

Bad experience. Outdated and needs major improvement as to facility maintenance and services. The room stinks! Has to change because of unbearable smell. Ordered food in the bar and when the food came, we smelled the rice is spoiled and the amount of food is way expensive with the quality of food. HAD NO PRACTICULER PROBLEMS, ROOM WAS CLEAN AND GREAT VIEW OF OCEAN FROM ROOM 922, AAAONLY PEOBLEM WAS CHARGE FOR PARKING ($12/DAY) AND ONLY TWO SMALLEST TOWELS PER PERSON FOR USE AT POOL. While on Miami Beach this hotel is at least 16 blocks from any restuarants or shops. Some of the staff were wonderful but several were almost surly. We arrived off a cruise ship at 10:30 Am adn were advised that early check in was not available-we would have to wait until 3PM. At 3 pm about 25 peaople in the lobby jumped up to register. I was first […] in line but was advised that my room would not be available for another 5 minutes. 15 minutes later I checked back and was told it would not be ready for another 10 minutes. Finally at 4 PM when I checked back again and it was still not ready another staff member found us another room. The door to this room looked to havebeen breached with a crowbar and they had left the battered door on and only added new locks - a litle disconcerting. The restuarant that you are more or less forced to use unless you came be car and want to take a taxi is styled like a 50's dinner with the seats looking likethe back end of a 1956 Chev. Belair. Food was okay but nothing to write home about and we were a little disconcerted to note that an 18% gratuity had been added to our party of two.. The pictures are blatant lies or at least exaggerations and the service was horrendous. They wouldn't do dry cleaning for us and every time we spoke with an employee they were just trying to get you away from them as quickly as possible (if they even spoke English). The beach nearby is terrible and the location was way out of the way of anything cool. […] The ONLY positive was that the HoJo has now become big joke sarcastically saying "Well this place is nice but it is no Howard Johnson". Was in Miami for the BCS National Championship game. The hotel reviews weren't good but I thought how bad could this hotel really be? The pictures looked good, it was on the beach and it was a good price considering.....I wont say it was horrible but it was old and outdated...front desk was very rude...hotel very hot although the room temp was fine. […] Its definately a fair price on the beach compared to other nearby hotels but don't make the mistake thinking that maybe the reviews are too tough...they are right on!!!!! will pay more next time im in the area. This is very old and dirty hotel and we did not get room till 6 Pm. This is just crazy. staffs are very rude and not well trained. other hand some of hotel staffs do not speak English at all. we do not get towel in swimming pool, just do not get it.

Front Desk staff inept at confirming a pre-booked reservation at the time of checkin. In general all staff members less than friendly. Service in restaurant pitiful - waited an hour to have order served. Given the excuse they were buzy which was not true !

The hotel was in decent shape. Hotel has appeared as if it hadn't been renovated in quite some time. The check-in and check-out process was very easy, but this may be due to the impersonalization of the staff. The one staff member that we did find helpful was the staff in charge of calling us a cab. The restaurant is about as run down as the hotel, […] which was to be expected. The continental breakfast is nothing more than bread and water. The buffet food was okay but is overpriced for what you get. Keep in mind that gratuity is included in the bill for the buffet, although you do all of the work. The hotel is right on the beach, however. The surrounding area/neighborhood is okay. Probably not ideal for most tourists because it is far from the main shopping centers and restaurants. All I can say, the price was almost right. But then again may be too much. It is extremely noisy. No carpets in rooms or hall ways. Its an ok hotel. The beach is really nice and right outside the back of the hotel. It has a nice pool. The rooms are clean enough to stay a night or two. I never saw the restaurant open there. It is a 30 minute walk to Surfside where the nearest restaurants are. It is pretty quiet in the rooms and all the rooms have different names.

The hotel room was very interesting. No carpet on the floor and the walls are paper thin. Also, the bathrooms need to be remodeled, where there were holes around the tub, sick etc., they were just patched with no real skill put into it.
