The hotel was so convenient to the campus! We were able to park the car and forget it until time to leave. Breakfast delivery to the room was elegant and delicious! Vandy visitors can earn frequent visitor rewards.

The location to visit the colleges was great!! Staff was so friendly! The rooms need upgrading. They need a 2 queen option. Double beds are tight if you are used to sharing a king with your spouse!! They had a plug strip for electronics, and it wasn't convenient. No accessible plugs from the beds! I get the parking fee, but will try to avoid one in […] the future. Now, don't get me wrong - Loews in Nashville is a nice hotel, clean and with a friendly staff. But the cost is simply too high, not in absolute terms, but in terms of what one receives in return. A clean, comfortable room and courteous staff are bare minimum. To have to pay extraordinarly high prices for every conceivable service and amenity ($6.00 […] for bottled water; $10.00 for internet service; $25 a day parking; etc.) in a hotel that has nothing particularly special about it with a location equalled by several others in the vicinity is, well, a little maddening. Again, no complaints about the hotel, just nothing I feel the need to tell anyone about either (save perhaps the hotel bar, where the assortment of Scotch was decent for a bar its size, and the price fair enough), and very high costs. The Concierge was very knowledgeable, answering our questions and giving us directions. Our car was always brought up immediately. The gentleman shining shoes was THE BEST! Overall, our stay ,to visit our granddaughter at Vanderbilt, was delightful.

Great location near downtown. They have a shuttle to take you there. and pick you up. Ruth Chris inside the hotel. Bar in the hotel is so small and appeared to be closed . Baths in the rooms are very dated with 20 plus year old tile on walls. time to update. staff was nice.

Very friendly staff. Everyone was attentive and helpful. My only dissatisfaction was the maintenance of the hotel. Bathroom door did not close properly and the veneer was warping off the back of the door. Just a little bit more attention to detail would make a big difference to overall impression. The location of the hotel is great especially if you are visiting Vanderbilt University. It is jus right across the street. The room is fairly big and comfortable. It is a nice business hotel. It is not too far (5 min drive) to the great panckae house called "Pancake Pangry". There are several great restaurans near by also. Overall, I would recommend […] it to everyone visitng Nashville. The location is perfect - straight shot to downtown. The concierge, Erin - she was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is pet friendly, though the 'dog walk' area on premises is pretty small, you can find more space around the block/down the street. The room was very nice and comfortable, lobby was lovely. I'd definitely stay there again.

Everyone at the hotel was friendly...one of the best hotels I have stayed at...plus the best shoe shine guy in U.S. warren

We had a nice stay at the hotel, however, we felt it was time for some repairs. We thought the hallways and room could have been cleaner and they need new paint, carpeting and wallpaper.

I stayed at the Loews many, many years ago, and the service is definitely not as good as I remembered it being. Our room was never fully cleaned the whole 3 nights we stayed. Trash was left in the corridors. I don't think it was vacuumed once while we were there. I think it's annoying that the guests have to pay for parking. The hotel should comp that […] and only charge those people who are not staying at the hotel. The hotel at first glance looks really nice and upscale, however it lacks upscale quality when you really look at it. I feel this hotel probably caters only to those guests staying in suites or more expensive rooms. I am in travel and every guest should be treated like a guest. We stilled paid a good amount of money for our standard room, however we were in substandard surroundings. I am a world traveler as are a lot of my friends, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know. Continua a leggere

Good location if you are visiting Vanderbilt University. Must take cab to downtown where majority of attractions and restaurants are located. Hotel was not a luxury hotel which is how it is sold. It's a little on the pricey side for me, but the wife and step-daughter liked it a lot. We had a few drinks at the bar and ordered room service and they were very nice. No real complaints here.

Outstanding hotel service, staff and food. Excellent room and value.

Add $22 / day to the cost of your stay. The check in person said they would not be able to recommend parking near by. Supported my assessment the area was a little sketchy Would have Preferred being close to the downtown music strip. Staff was friendly and nice, room was clean. No place in walking distance to eat.

The Lowes is a nice hotel and is centrally located to Vanderbilt University and Downtown. The hotel staff was very professional and did give us a place to hang our hat eventhough they did not have a room for us when we arrived. It's just not what you expect after a long day of travel and having pre-paid for our room through hotels.com. We had to sleep […] on rollaways our first night in a parlor room, but were moved to our reserved room the next day. I would probably recommend this hotel, however, there were guests smoking in their rooms on our designated non-smoking floor. If this is commonplace then I wouldn't want to pay for a 4 star hotel and risk getting stuck in room that was smoked-in! Poor Fitness room. NO Spa at all. Poor AC in the room. dirty carpet in halls. Too many " conventioneers." Old and outdated.

It was well worth the stay and for a hotel of this quality when booked through the internet it is an excellent bargin.

I got a great price for this wonderful hotel. I love staying there - the beds are great and the bathroom is roomy. Staff is great from doorman to room service - very professional and helpful!

parking garage too small - room too small for the price paid - poor water pressure in the shower - ice machine not convenient as only located on every other floor.

Loews maintains their charm that is evident across their other locations (I've personally been to Philadelphia and Miami), yet embraces the Nashville vibe. Highly recommend.

I always stay here as my daughter goes to school right across the street. If anything is wrong, they fix it right away. The manager has actually emailed me. Kevin at the front desk and Miguel in the Concierge Lounge are wonderful. There is a Ruth Chris Steakhouse on the premises and the hotel food is very good. Good hotel and service, convenient to good restaurants; not the best deal on the block

We were staying for two nights with our dog and found the staff to be very friendly and the hotel to be very pet friendly. The location was great and we really enjoyed our stay.

Great room that is very beautiful and chic. The hotel staff was wonderful & makes you feel like a king or queen. The only problem was that the continental breakfast that was included consisted of a croissant & a piece of cantaloupe. this was a great way to spend a birthday!

The Loews Vanderbilt is in a great location, right across the street from the University and near lots of restaurants. The room we had was spacious enough to accommodate a crib for our daughter. We were told that there were Fisher-Price toys that we could borrow during our stay, but we didn't take advantage of that. They also sent up a toiletry kit for our toddler, which was very helpful and a nice touch. The best thing about our stay was the breakfast, which was great. Our toddler needs to eat first thing in the morning, so having the breakfast included was a huge plus. We were not impressed with the hotel's restaurant, "eat," however. The food was not palatable and not worth the cost. My husband's fish was bitter and bland, and he sent it back. Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. Pros: GREAT Swing Jazz Band on Sunday Afternoons... Hotel assistance, i.e. people behind the desk and concierge was very good... Cons: 1. Parking was $21 PER DAY WITHOUT Valet Service, yet I was told that it was $10 per day at the time I was confirming and making the reservation; parking was complicated and irritating - you have to use your room key […] to enter and exit; 2. There is NO swimming pool; workout room was ok but there were children using it; Children do not need to be in the workout area and this could be a potential liability issue for the hotel if a child got hurt trying to use the machines... 3. Watch out what is complimentary in your room and what you're charged for in terms of coffee/food.... The coffee didn't look like coffee and we weren't asked if we needed any until we checked out. You really have to look at everything in your room and determine what you want and don't want.....There is NO COMPLIMENTARY Breakfast....The restaurant is expensive and gives you small portions for what you ordered.... 4. The carpet and decor looked OLD and SMELLED OLD...Our room faced a retainer type wall which was very pleasing to look at.... 5. The hotel security concerned me. The reservation was in my name. My traveling companion lost his key and approached the desk to get another one. He was provided one without asking his name or to show any identification. He only provided the room number - not even my name to get a replacement key. I disliked the hotel's parking price and system. Guests […] use their room keys to enter and depart. Many times that didn't function properly and it was terribly annoying to have to call for assistance when it didn't work. And lastly, it was explained that on the concierge floor that there was breakfast in the mornings and cocktails in the afternoon. The breakfast selection was lacking. It wasn't even close to what you see in less costly hotels so we ate in the hotel restaurant for an exorbitant price. The price of those cocktails were the same as the hotel bar which was more than a regular bar so I saw no value in either of these services. Continua a leggere

The room and service were excellent - just make sure you budget for parking if you are driving.

I was just impressed that everyone (including bell hops/valets) remembered our names, including our 4 month old son!

Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Coffee maker with no coffee. $9.95 a day for internet in room. Valet parking attendents outstanding. Restaurant too expensive for what they offered. Overall a nice hotel with nothing complimentry exept a newpaper evry day.

Virtually everything about this hotel says "value" - location, amentities available/nearby, quality of room/stay, etc. My only complaint is the parking - wow, fairly exorbitant rates. All in all, good value for money - and that's what it's all about.
