Enjoy NYC

Cosmopolitan Café - Beautifully restored to reflect its 19th-century roots, this petite café pairs old-fashioned charm with contemporary fare. Favorites from the French-accented menu include crepes, salads, and croissant sandwiches, along with decadent desserts. Coffee beans are freshly roasted here.
Starbucks - Stop by for a java jolt or a creamy cappuccino, paired with a pastry.

Camere quadruple piccole ma pulite e hotel vicinissimo alla metro!! Qualità / prezzo buona!! E' consigliato per chi va a NY per girare e va in hotel solo per dormire!!
"Nice Small Hotel in Tribeca."
Nice, small, easy to reach and confortable. Closed to metro station (50mt). Quite area with relevant resto. Suggested for couples and even families. Easy and cheap way to NYC.
"hotel cosmopolitan"
Per il prezzo pagato, la posizione dell'hotel, ed i servizi direi che è un ottimo compromesso. se non particolari esigenze di "lusso" da prendere assolutamente in considerazione
"Value for money"
Hotel in charming Tribecca, close to good shopping in design areas, nice dining as well as World Trade Center. Smaller rooms, noices from AC and street, but clean and sweet staff. Defenately value for money.
very nice and located hotel, little bit noice
The hotel is very convenient to all Tribeca locations and the metro! I stayed in a loft room; it was kind of fun to walk up the stair ladder to bed loft above. Comfy bed with a down comforter, flat screen tv across from it. The lower level of the room, however, needed some sprucing up - there was a big space by the door which needed to be filled by […] a couch or a big chair or SOMETHING - especially since yet another tv was facing this strange and empty space. No pictures on the walls either - strange, again. So this room was in need of some flair, for sure. Could have been very cute, but not worked up to its full potential. Continua a leggere
"The Best Hotel in New York City"
The location of this hotel is perfect, close to three subway stops, and numerous restaurants. It is perfect size, but the best, of all is the staff, especially Marcella and Jenny! However, the rest of the staff is top-drawer. There is now a little restaurant that sits on both sides of the hotel., which is ideal for breakfast or a late dinner. It is […] also a short two blocks from The World Trade Center. Maryann H Continua a leggere
"good for the money"
Right by two bars and 5 blocks from WTC
"Cosmopolitan--great except construction noise"
Lovely little hotel, fun neighborhood, great staff. Only drawback was the major construction on the street which required changing rooms. Front desk gave me the quietest room ever. Would happily return.

"The Cosmopolitan Hotel - Tribeca, NYC"
It was a quick subway ride from Penn Station on the #1 subway to the Hotel. The Hotel was very nice and the staff was accommodating to our needs. The rooms are small, but the right size for the best price! I would go back again and also recommend to a my family and friends.
"The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Tribeca is a good choice"
...in a great neighborhood. Tribeca has some of the best walking in Manhattan, a real neighborhood feeling, fine restaurants and shopping, and proximity to the Hudson, Battery Park, WTC site, SoHo, and the Village. The hotel is right at the Chambers subway stop with most of the major lines either there or a block or two away. The hotel isn't fancy, […] but is clean, well-kept, and serviceable, with IKEA-style furniture and fabulously comfy beds. The associated Cosmopolitan Cafe is a charming spot for meals, coffee, and pastries. Continua a leggere
"Great Location Great Staff"
My first time staying in an NYC hotel, The Cosmopolitan is a cozy doorway close to convenience, cafe and Starbucks. The first thing I noticed was how clean the room was, sparkling bathroom and crisp crisp linens. Walking distance to the 9/11 memorial as you grab a coffee from Starbucks right on the corner, then take a good 20 min walk taking in the […] sights on W.Broadway to find great stores to shop. A vibrant bustling neighborhood I felt was central to eveything I needed to be a tourist for if I was walking or taking a taxi. The staff were smiling, attentive and friendly and the foyer was clean and full of information and internet access. I will definately be staying here again.... Continua a leggere
"Son in the Big Apple"
We booked this room for our son as part of his acting program @ BU he had some meetings etc..in NYC, He told me the staff was outstanding, couldn't have been nicer. The room was small, "not the newest place" but he said it was a great value. He simply raved about the staff.
"Cosmo Hotel"
A good value hotel in a great location. The hotel felt very well run, the staff were excellent, and the room was spotless. We had a loft room, which was fine for us, but as the bed is accessed by a steep staircase, and the ceiling is low, less able people might struggle. The room was very warm - no air con as far as i could see, and having the bed […] up high doesn't help. This was in March, so I suspect that in summer it might be quite uncomfortable. The room was facing away from the street, and did not have much natural light. Apart from these minor points - a good hotel. Would certainly recommend it. Continua a leggere
"Great little hotel!"
I think we were comfortable in almost every way. The only drawback is that everything is very small. When you sit on the toilet you get a mouthful of towel. Besides that all else is great!

"Good location, perfect for poor students"
The location was the reason we chose this hotel. When we arrived I was horrified at the tiny room and paper thin walls and door. We could hear the tv in every room walking down the hall. There was no luxury, but the bathroom, while tiny was clean and sufficient. The bed was okay, but the room was very hot and to cool it we had to turn on the VERY NOISY […] air conditioner and keep it on all night. Great access to the subway and the Brooklyn bridge. "Cosmopolitan in NYC"
The hotel staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The location was wonderful - 3 subway lines within 2 blocks and within walking distance of good shopping and dining. The room was clean, but small - the bathroom was ridiculously small; we actually had to move in and turn around in front of the toilet to get the door closed and the bathtub would only […] fit folks from the Land of Oz. The hotel only has one elevator (very slow) and it frequently stops and opens between floors (a little scary). That said - I would recommend the hotel - just remember, it's not the Ritz! "very close to the subway, simple but confortable"
Great location, easy to get to all must -see sights. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. The staff very friendly and efficient.
"Decent hotel"
With this hotel it is all about being affordable in the area. There is no frills with this hotel. Nice room, decently comfy bed, nice people. The bathroom is very tiny...make a wrong turn and you will fall in the tub! Slightly loud on streets and can be heard in room.
"Clean, comfortable excellent location."
This is a wonderful hotel. Very kind staff and the rooms are clean and of a good size. New York streets are noisy so I could hear some vehicles during the night (well, before falling asleep, of course) but that may be an issue if you have light sleep. New Yorkers told me that that is normal and nothing to blame the hotel for.
"perfect for short stay"
Great service, super clean, room was very small but totally nice and elegant. Might get a bit claustrophobic after a few days, but for short stays in Tribeca it's a terrific value.
"Comso in TriBeCa"
I stayed in this hotel before and it was a pleasant experience again. Only exception is that this year I went during winter time & no running a/c. The temperature in the room was a little uncomfortable since the window a/c wasn't there when I went the first time. Road construction on Chambers Street is very noisy and windows are NOT sound proof. Definitely […] not ideal when you want to sleep in. Overall though, hotel is super clean, staff is extremely helpful, and I would definitely stay here again ( I'll just request room not facing Chambers Street). Continua a leggere

"Cosmopolitan Tribeca"
Oldest continually operating hotel in NYC, providing some nice photos from prior eras, but not an "historic hotel" in feel, just an older one. Lobby small and simple. Rooms small and simple, but clean and comfortable. A good stay for the price. Staff, particularly bellmen, were friendly and helpful. Great location for visiting Lower Manhattan.
"Cosmopolitan Hotel NYC - I've had worse"
Overall, not a bad place to stay. I've had better and I've had worse. The location was convenient, with the subway being just steps from the front door. There's also a Starbucks in the same building for your caffeine fix. The bad things - none of these were a dealbreaker, but adding them all together made my stay pretty annoying. The first thing is, […] I was staying at the hotel with my elderly mother, who tripped on a step on the way into the lobby. I don't blame the hotel for that, of course, but another guest and I helped her to her feet while the hotel staff just looked on. Upon checking in, the woman at the desk asked if she was okay and stated that she was *going to* help but had to answer the phone. Really? There were two people at the desk with no customers in line. Couldn't one answer the phones while the other at least pretended to help the 70 year old woman sprawled across their lobby? After checking in, we were told that the elevator was broken (to be fixed at an unnamed time later in the day) and our room was on the 4th floor. We could have the bellhop bring up our things which he stated he would do "in a few minutes." My mom, who was still recovering from her fall, was not able to hoof it up 4 flights so she waited in the lobby while I went upstairs. After waiting upstairs for about 30 minutes, I called the front desk who said they would be up "soon." I decided to head downstairs and explore the city instead of waiting. After I got back around midnight, the elevator was fixed, but my luggage was not in my room. I went down to the front desk but he wouldn't just hand me my bags and told me the bellhop would be up "shortly." After about 45 minutes (and another call downstairs) my stuff finally arrived. Yay for toothbrushes and pajamas! And the bellhop got nothing more than a dirty look in exchange for his outstretched hand. Next day, after a day in NYC, we get back to the room around 7pm to find our room had not been made up. Dirty towels, unmade beds, Continua a leggere
"Comfortable, handy hotel"
Stayed for 3# nights. Rooms are clean & comfy. Great big TV on wall. Bathroom small, but very efficient. Elevator did breakdown but was fixed quickly. Room price very reasonable. Rooms are more than big enough for 2# people. Roll out of bed on to the subway & Starbucks. Also, great little breakfast place next door. Went there because it was our first […] time so didn't want to be searching for breakfast. Nice pancakes. Chinatown / Little Italy is next stop on Subway. Ninja restaurant only a 30 sec. walk away which I didn't realize when I booked the restaurant. Would stay there again for convenience. Only negative was, quite noisy outside from 7.30am+ which woke me. Will deffo stay there on next visit. Continua a leggere
This is an older hotel but it was very clean, the staff was terrific and it's location makes it extremely convenient to multiple subway stations.

"The Cosmopolitan in Tribeca"
The room was super tiny, wich was alright as we were out enjoying the city. My wife thinks she got bed bug bites, but I think she's crazy, I didn't see any evidence. Elevator is ancient and broke while we were there. Otherwise a great trip.
"good deal"
rooms small but clean, good price and in neighborhood I needed to be.

"clean, nice and small"
Perfect location on lower Manhattan, with subway next to front door of hotel. Very friendly staff, clean and newer looking rooms. The price was in the cheap end with free wifi. Only negative thing to say is that our room 202 was very small and the "double" bed was made for hobbibs.
"Hotel cosmopolitan - next to a constriction zone"
Our room was at the 6th floor- the wait for the lift in a 7 floor hotel was almost 15 mins. The hotel is more than 100 years old so you cannot complain. After you reach the 6th floor again few stairs to reach your room. The was really stuffy. Then I realized that there is no air conditioner. Called the front desk , they say since it is winter we have […] removed all a/c units from the rooms after some back and forth he agreed to put an a/c on the window. The manager refused to refund my payment and did not allow us to move to another hotel. Overall a very bad experience. Will not recommend to stay here . Continua a leggere

"Cosmopolitan was a Great Find"
A great find. staff were pleasant when we arrived after a seeing a Boradway show and heading downtown. THe neighborhood was a bit deserted a night but we were given an upgrade and it was comfortable, and very clean and tidy. During the early morning, you could feel the closing of a nearby door but for the price, the style and the pleasant efficiency […] of the staff, I will seek it out again for jaunts to NYC. "Great location and great price"
The location is really close to a subway station which made it super easy to travel around the city. The staff were kind and helpful. To our surprise they upgraded our room which made things even better! A few things could use an upgrade, such as room keys/locks and lack of temperature control, but they weren't really a big deal during our stay. We […] will definitely stay here again and have already recommended the hotel to friends! Continua a leggere
"Great Location, a little noisy"
Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Excellent location for walking and public transit. The only problem was that it was noisy. Both outside noise and noise within the hotel. Still, a good rate for the location.

"Cosmoploitan Hotel Tribeca, New York"
I visited NYC with my fiancé in Dec 2012 and it was our second visit to this magical city. We both decided we wanted to stay outside of Manhattan so opted for Tribeca, an excellent choice it turned out to be. Having looked at the reviews of the Cosmopolitan Hotel, we decided on booking a double room for 7 nights. As we arrived there was quite a bit […] of scaffolding outside the building so the entrance was a little hard to see. Once inside, the hotel staff were very friendly and happy to help. The desk is always supervised and always more than happy to suggest favourite restaurants and shops nearby. The cafe next door is a great choice for some breakfast to start the day. There was free wifi too as well as Starbucks 2 doors away. The hotel itself is situated in Tribeca, a really cool area that we loved. It's walking distance to Bleaker and W39th Street, (where lots of the blues bars and heaps of restaurants are situated), the Meat Packing District, Chelsea Village and if you fancied a nice evening walk along Brooklyn Bridge, then that's right around the corner too. It takes about 30/40 mins to walk up to Times Square, with Washington Square, a happy mid point along the way (we love walking... ;-) The room itself was very cramped, this is something you should get used to in NYC, so I wasn't expecting much. There was a double bed in the middle of the room, very little space to walk around it, with a drawer and a desk on either side. The en-suite itself was nice with the sink, toilet and bath quite well spaced. There was no cupboard in the room and very little hanging space for 2 people. With our 2 suitcases in the room and a few clothes/shoes out it was starting to get quite cramped indeed. One thing that hit me straight away was the intense heat in the room, there is no air conditioning, only a ceiling fan which does little to generate much air. The window overlooked the generator and so opening it let in quite a bit of noise (if you're a light sleeper, I very much dou Continua a leggere
