A block from Trevi Fountain. The location of this hotel was the best feature. It is definitely not a luxury hotel. The elevator is tiny so don't expect to fit more than one person with a bag at a time. The room was so so, not very spacious and the sheets were poor quality. Breakfast included fresh fruits and pastries, scrambled eggs and bacon, but nothing […] made to order and no options to choose from. The worst part of the hotel is the bad smell that is a mix of stake smoke and weird cleaning products. I had to keep my window open even though it was freezing cold. If you want to see the sights of Rome the location could not be better. The hotel is nicely appointed with helpful friendly staff.

Charming hotel very conveniently located near Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc. While the weather was warm, we had trouble keeping our room warm enough at night. Engaging staff, but not particularly helpful in concierge services, I.e. No tours suggested when we asked for sightseeing advice. Still, convenience and good value.

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at the dei Bourgognoni (October 2011) and we would highly recommend it. The location is great for tourists - close to many of the major sights (Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna) and walking distance to many others. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was sparkling clean - great closet space - lovely bathroom […] and not microscopic in size. The air conditioning worked very well and the water pressure in the shower was great! Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. We love this hotel! We have stayed at many different hotels in Rome and have not gone back to any one of them for a variety of different reasons. We will go back to the dei Borgognoni. Our one problem was the wifi situation which we felt should be available in the room at no charge but we can overlook that for all the other good amenities this hotel offers. Continua a leggere

Good staff and one of the best Rome's location

Excellent service. Excellent staff. Extremely helpful and more than willing to go out of their way to accomodate our needs. And always with a smile and friendly greeting. The breakfast room seemed a little small at first, but never was there a wait for a table, and the staff was very quick to take hot beverage orders upon arriving to the buffet. The […] choices we found to be fairly typical of others we stayed at during our two week visit to Italy, which pleased us just fine. Fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, an egg dish, juice choices (blood orange is FABULOUS!), cold meats and cheeses, and a big basket of bread at the table as soon as we sat down. As well as a different tart or quiche each day. We had exactly what we needed and wanted to satisfy. The lobby/bar area was very well appointed with numerous sitting areas, and had a little buzzer at most of the tables to press for service. It was amazing how quick someone would appear to take orders for drinks. The little snacks that accompanied the drinks were fun and tasty! We had to utilize the laundry service right away, and our clothing arrived back to us before it was promised. That was a bit pricy, but worth it. Excellent in all ways. Continua a leggere

Asked for room change - not happy with room and expected a lot more for the price- was like a cave - NO VIEWS and TINY!!!!!! Staff do not make you feel welcome and this hotel is VERY EXPENSIVE for what you get - plus internet not included and they nickle and dime you to DEATH for everything! On plus side great location - I guess that's what you pay […] for and we bought everything at the local supermarket down the street. Very happy with our choice of hotel. A great facility and caring staff. Small hotel in a wonderful location. Within walking distance of the Spanish Steps, Pantheon and shopping. Other areas are also easy to walk to. Take the time to walk and you can see so many of the historical sites.

Good Location , but over priced , staff were of little help , we had to do all of our sightseeing in Rome alone.oor Breakfast serving only scrambled egg .... not many choices as it should be

We had an amazing experience at Dei Borgognoni Hotel. The room was very comfortable, the service was wonderful and the location was superb! We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome!

This hotel is very hard to find if you are driving due to one way streets. All of the taxi drivers know where it is located. The hotel is located between the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. You are able to walk to everything. The Vatican is about a mile and a half away. There is a nice terrace on the first floor where we had drinks one evening. A wonderful hotel - perfect locaton for wandering the city. Clean, quiet, great breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our 4th visit to Rome and we would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay there again ourselves. Lovely friendly helpful staff and hotel is very central for all the main areas. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is not one negative thing I could possible say about this hotel.

The hotel has a perfect location and the rooms are pristine. However, the service is lacking. We barely got a smile from the staff. We asked for directions to the Vatican and a clerk tried to sell us a tour instead. We checked out to go to the Amalfi Coast and then rechecked in as we had to fly out of Rome. My wife and I recently spent a week in rome and stayed at this hotel. It was everything we expected and more. The staff was very helpful and the room was fantastic; large bathroom looked like it was recently renovated. The location was perfect. There is a small market next door to buy drinks and snacks at a fraction of the cost of restaurants. There […] is also a bus depot at the Piazza San Sylvestro where you can catch a bus to just about anywhere in Rome. And the bus depot had self service ticketing machines, so you don't have to stop into a Tobacco Shop to purchase bus tix. There's an ATM machine 40 ft from the hotel entrance. This is a four star hotel in the European rating system based on amenities, and a very nice hotel close to everything you want to see in Rome. It is a quiet hotel, on a small street, with super insulated windows. The staff was very good, and breakfast (included) quite good. The rooms are small, but adequate for the two of us.

Perfectly situated near the Spanish Steps, but also between the Steps and all other popular sites in Rome. Reasonable walking distance to everything. As an added bonus, the grocer a few doors down Via Bufala offers most anything one would require – at prices one would expect to pay at any neighborhood grocery. Nearby restaurants and endless shopping […] are plentiful. The bilingual staff are all very accommodating and helpful. By Rome standards, the rooms and bathrooms are extremely large, with all the appointments one would expect from a fine property. One could easily pay much more for a smaller and less lavish room in a poorer location. I have stayed at The Dei Borgongnoni Hotel on three separate occasions; each time the hotel has met or exceeded my expectations. As a frequent traveler throughout Europe, I can attest that this hotel is far superior to most in terms of the quality and scale of accommodations. Having read some of the negative reviews of this property, I can only conclude that some expectations are unrealistic, as there is no degree of compromise one must accept with respect to this property. This hotel is fabulous. Impressive from the moment you arrive. The service was fabulous, the room very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was very good. We will definately stay there again!

ALL STAFF FRIENDLY, SPEAKING GOOD ENGLISH AND VERY HELPFUL. TRIPLE ROOM ON THE SMALL SIDE BUT AIR CON GREAT. FABULOUS POSITION FOR ALL SIGHTSEEING AND TRANSPORT.

Ett trevligt hotell med bästa läge, nära till "allt". Mysig miljö, fint inrett, trevlig personal, bra frukost (liten, men allt vanligt man vill ha fanns), rent och fräscht. Det enda lilla minuset skulle vara att rummet var i minsta laget.

5mn de la fontaine de trevi, 5mn de la piazza di Spagna, etc... etc... très très bien situé, quartier propre, personnel gentil et serviable, chambres confortables, salle de bain impeccable ne pas hésiter

Dette hotellet hadde perfekt beliggenhet til severdigheter og shopping. Ligger i en sidegate til hovedgatene, og er derfor stille og rolig om natten. Er et lite koselig hotell med god service.

hotel bastante confortável a poucos metros da piazza de Espanha, Fontana de Trevi e da via dei Condotti (para compras). Quarto confortável, banheiro bom, café da manha bem variado. Staff bem atencioso, otima localizacao para passear a noite pela piazza de Espanha e metro perto.

Kan stærkt anbefales.

Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold på hotellet nå i april, rett før påske. Hotellets medarbeider var veldig hjelpsomme fra vi ble tatt i mot til vi dro. Transport tilbake ble ordnet, og var meget behagelig. Anbefalingene de kom med var meget bra, og ikke minst var rommene bra og veldig rene. Sjeldent bra renhet på rommene. Hotellet ligget meget sentralt, […] med bare noen minutter opp til Spanske trappen, og ikke mer enn ti minutter gange til Pantheon. Til Forum Romanum og Colluseum kan en kanskje regne 20 minutter, men allikevel var alt innefor kort gangavstand. Eneste lille minuset jeg har på hotellet, er frokosten. Den var ikke direkte dårlig, men veldig enkel og ikke spesielt velsmakende. Når jeg nevner dette, er det fordi resten var mer eller mindre perfekt. Anbefalles på det varmest, spesielt til partur. Flot betjening, ekselent beliggenhed mellem Spanske Trappe og Fontana de Trevi. Godt opholdsrum. Vi manglede en lænestol i værelset, men så må man vel jkøbe en suite.

Fint hotel med klassisk indretning af lobby og lounge areal. Dog syntes spiseafdelingen at være lige lovlig snæver selvom rummet ved siden af blev taget ind ved højbelastning Værelset måske lige det snævreste, hvis to personer skal opholde sig der en del, men sådan er det vel i ROM i de ældre bygninger. Fint placeret i forhold til Fontana di Trevi […] og Piazza d'Espagna, samt nem adgang til offentlige transportmidler. Lidt gammeldags mht. værelsesnøgle, som skulle afleveres hver gang man gik ud. Kortnøgleløsning vil være at foretrække, men i det mindste fik man øvet sit italienske mht. tallene (værelsesnr.!!) Savnede adgang til internet for gæsterne, der ikke selv medbringer bærbar. Et hotell vi mer enn gjerne kan anbefale. Sentralt beliggende i gangavstand til alle viktige severdigheter som Peterskirken (30 min), Colosseum og Forum (25 min), Spansketrappen (10 min), Fontana de Trevi (5 min), Pantheon (10 min) m.m. Vi brukte ikke taxi, buss eller Metro en gang. Mange koselige gater på veien med koselige restauranter. Lite trafikk […] utenom hovedgatene. Hotellet ligger i rolige omgivelser, og med aircondition sov vi utrolig godt. Betjeningen kan godt engelsk og var veldig servceinnstilte. De hadde gode forslag til restauranter i nærheten av hotellet, der det ikke var alt for mye turister. Rengjøringen av rommene er upåklagelig, og frokosten over gjennomsnittet i forhold til andre hoteller vi har vært på utenfor Norge. Neste gang vi skal til Roma, kommer vi til å bruke dette hotellet igjen. Continua a leggere

Hotell med hög standard samt vänlig och hjälpsam personal. Bra frukostbuffé samt bra städning av rummet.

Hotellet ligger centralt, bara några meter från den stora shoppinggatan Via del Corso och nära Spanska Trappan och Trefvifontänen. Finns på en liten gata så det är lugnt på kvällarna. Nära till buss- och taxizon, bara några meter. Trevligt rum(vi hade trebäddsrum) med en liten balkong. Rent och fint, städades varje dag, Trevliga och hjälpsamma anställda […] på hotellet. Mysig terass där man kan relaxa efter en dag i Rom. Fräscht badrum, badkar och luftkonditionering som man ställer själv. Vi är mycket nöjda med vår vistelse. OBS: Hissen är inget för klaustrofobiska, men det finns en trappa och det är inte mer än fyra våningar:) Rekommenderar det varmt! Continua a leggere

Veldig bra hotell med swentral beliggenhet. Bra renhold Frokost ok ,men litt lite rundstykker Hyggelig betjening på alle nivåer.

Enjoyable stay in a nice hotel, excellent service, nice breakfast. The location of the Hotel Dei Borgognoni was the best.
