The hotels location was great, being on the museums door step and for our intended purpose the Royal Albert Hall a short walk away. Unfortunatly the dissapointing factor for our stay was the ability to sleep, normally my girlfriend and I can sleep through anything but the noise that was generated on the evening of our stay kept waking us throughout […] the night. The origins of the noise was unclear however it continued throughout the night with cars, horns, lifts and general banging. We might have been un-lucky however when you get your room number I'd be keen to advise you to avoid 101 and any other room which is on the mainstreet or next to the lifts. Continua a leggere

This hotel is ok. Not great, just ok. Not really a four star experience in my view. There was clutter on many of the stair wells, and at the time I stayed building maintenance work was being carried out. A hammer drill pressed onto a wall does not make for a happy awakening! The hotel staff gave no warning that this might happen. Not impressed.

We were only there for one night, New Year's Eve, but had nothing but praise for the services we needed. Such as replacement of light bulbs and ordering a taxi for early in the morning. Very small dark room even though a deluxe room was booked. Staff were friendly but very poorly trained.

The hotel looked very nice in the photos but once we arrived our room was very old and in desperate need of some thorough cleaning and updating. The bathroom looked like it had been updated in the last decade but the rest of the room probably had not been touched in at least 30 years. The wall paper was black from dirt and stains and was peeling off […] the walls. The upholstery in the furniture had been torn and severely used/abused. The carpeting looked like it had taken a lot of abuse and had not been updated or cleaned in since the 1950s. There was even a big (mouse) hole in the doors to the balcony. The bed itself was two twin mattresses pushed together to make a queen size which made it even more uncomfortable.The springs in the bed were poking out as well. The room was a nice size and we were very comfortable. We did upgrade from the standard room to the deluxe for a nominal cost and felt we got a very good value when compared to other four star hotels. It is close to the South Kensington tube stop with restaurants and shops there. Would recommend this hotel.

all good beds a big lumpy!

Very warm welcome, complimentary coffee. The room is on the small side but very clean. Comfortable bed, very clean bathroom with piping hot water. Only downside was some traffic noise at night, but all in all very good value for money.

Easy walk from South Kensington Tube. Nice feel to Reception and Bar areas, dark wood panneling. Comfortable but small room. Close to many restaurants and bars. Perfect for a short break.

Situated perfectly - Picadilly Line from Heathrow stops close to the hotel = no taxi needed from airport. Close to everything. We took long walks via Hyde Park (takes approx 7 min to walk to HP) into the City. Staff really nice. Our only complaint is that the room we had smelled of damp/mould. We had a small double room, and the room was indeed small. But given the excellent price we were paying, that seemed fair enough. And the room was otherwise excellent, and the employees were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a few steps from the Natural History Museum, the Victoria & Albert, and the Science Museum.

This quaint hotel offers comfort and good value for money at present rates. The lift is definitely the slowest I have met, and must be exasperating for those in a hurry!

The Gallery in South-Ken is a nice old Hotel with a very-very slow elevator, and old, very soft bed. Besides the convenient location of about 3 mins walk from the South-Ken Tube station, there were a few issues with my room. Only one of the bed-side lamps worked, the curtain above the bed had some dust-portions on it, and the light switch was almost […] not operational. Other than that the room was OK, the bathroom amenities for example were lots and convenient. Compared to summer peak-season in London, it was acceptable compared to the (relatively high) price. Don't pay for the Hotel's wifi service (GBP 4 for 1hour), just get BT OpenZone which is available across the building and is much-much cheaper (GBP 5 for 24 hours...). Continua a leggere

The Galley Hotel I was not pleased. The room was small, The bed springs were poking us as we slept.The coffee was instant only. The person @ front desk very hard to understand.

Met expectations - small hotel close to S. Kensington tube station. Rooms small as expected. Service and friendliness of staff better than expected.

We booked the Gallery Hotel for the location and price. The hotel has alot of character & charm. We were on the 4th floor , room 406. The room was nicely decorated but room small as most London hotels, Had a portable AC which was loud but it was too hot to sleep without it on. The only negetive comment I might have is the first & second day the lift […] only worked as far as the 3rd floor and the last day the lift didn't work at all. My husband suffers from angina and it very unconfortable for him. Other than that you can't beat the location as its very close to the museums and South Kensington tube station, plus there are lots of restaurants close by. I'd stay there again. Continua a leggere

100 metre walk to South Kensington tube is fantastic. Typical central London hotel with small rooms. Service staff were not really competent e.g. there was a mix up in our booking and our family of 4 was allocated 2 double rooms instead of a double and a twin. The reception staff told us this was not their problem as the problem was between us and the […] booking agent. We also asked about booking a cab or whether we could hail one in the street. The receptionist said she could book one for us but did not explain that this would be at a fixed rate and not a regular London Cab and as a result would cost us more. Continua a leggere

Muito boa localização e excelente atendimento.

Très belle situation, accueil sans reproche, cadre très british et agréable. Petit déjeuné correct. Literie confortable à souhait. En résumé, une adresse qui tient toutes ses promesses.

初めて、Ｃｉｔｙ Ｈｏｔｅｌではないプチホテルにとまりました。大規模ホテルにないアットホームなサービスで、スタッフは皆親切でした。サービスの質自体は、大規模ホテルに引けをとりませんでした。ルームサービスの食事もなかなかでした。

ビクトリアアルバート博物館に近く、翌朝コッツウォルズの日帰りツアーに申し込んでいた為、移動に便利なこのホテルに宿泊しました。多少設備は古めかしい感じですが、邸宅を改造したホテルで、イギリスらしい素敵な趣のホテルです。一緒に行った友人は近代的なホテルより、雰囲気があると喜んでいました。 翌朝、ホテルからツアーに参加の為、フロントでお願いして、タクシーを呼んでもらいました。 その際、荷物の量を確認されましたが、私たちは一泊だったので、小さなバッグとハンドバッグのみでした。それなのに、フロントで２５ポンドと言われ、びっくり. ホテルからツアーの場所ビクトリアコーチステーションまでは歩いても30分程、距離は2，3キロです。ヒースローから市内まで50ポンド位で移動できるのに、法外な料金で驚きましたが、 […] 時間も無かった為そのままの料金を払いましたが、今も納得出来ずにいます。 Continua a leggere

Meget sentral beliggenhet for den kulturinteresserte. Tre store museer og Royal Albert Hall i gangavstand. Kort vei til sentrum. Personalet meget hjelpsomme og høflige. Kjempefin, tradisjonell men litt falmet eleganse. Ikke all verdens klima-anlegg -lite effektivt og støyende. Vinduer lar seg åpne. En del støy, antakelig fra ventilasjonsanlegget. Varierer […] fra rom til rom. Utmerkede sanitære forhold med moderne bad. Koselig frokost-sal med valgfri Engelsk frokost eller kontinental. Mulig å kjøpe fra den engelske frokostmenyen selv om man bestiller kontinental. Flere gode spisesteder og em pub med storskjerm innen 10 min gangavstand. Italiensk, indisk, libanesisk, fransk m.m. 5 min til nærmeste T-banestasjon. Trådløs forbindelse ganske kostbar. Mulig å kjøpe 1, 8 el 24 timer. Kommer gjerne tilbake. Continua a leggere

Trevliga omgivnimngar, underbar engelsk inredning, trevlig personal. Nära tunnelbanan och lätt att hitta.

The location is great with Museums and a variety of restaurants within walking distance. The neighbourhood is quiet and nice as well. The hotel staffs are friendly. Just didn't expect the portable AC in the room stopped every three hours as it is also a dehumidifier that need to manually take out the condensed water from the machine.
