My boyfriend and I booked this hotel for a romantic birthday weekend, last minute upon a recommendation of a friend. The experience was great, the best value for money ratio from my experience (and I travel quite extensively). I have visited Rome numerous times and this was by far the best hotel I've stayed in. Clean, beautiful rooms. GREAT location. Wonderful breakfast and fantastic, pleasant and extremely helpful staff. I look forward to my next visit to this hotel.

This was a lovely hotel in an amazing location, just steps from the Pantheon. The room was clean, elegant, comfortable and looked out on to the piazza. Using the hotel as home base, we saw virtuallly all the sights in historic Rome and many in the Vatican City--all on foot. The neighborhood is home to six important churches from an art/historical perspective […] and many more that we did not have time to visit. The area shopping, restaurants, coffee shops and gelaterias were great. There was a Christmas bazaar at the Palazza Navone. Breakfast was very good, with excellent coffee and pastries. The hotel staff were kind and helpful. There was free wireless Internet, but it did not work in our room on the second floor, although they are upgrading. The mattress was not very comfortable by American standards, but was more comfortable than the one in my Milan hotel. They provide slippers, ample toiletries and turn-down service with a chocolate on the pillow. Minibar prices were better than the surrounding restaurants. Would go back in a second. The overall quality of the hotel is excellent. However the simple twin rooms on the first floor are quite small. It is definitely worth it to upgrade to a triple room on a higher floor. Also do not trust the front desk restaurant recs, and avoid "La Donata at Due Colona" at all costs, in my opinion. Otherwise front desk is very helpful and nice.

The hotel can't be beat if proximity to the Pantheon is your goal. For the price, however, one would expect better quality room furnishings, a much better breakfast etc. The front of house staff were very helpful.

We stayed at this hotel for part of our honeymoon and loved it.. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location right next to the Pantheon. We opened our window for an amazing view of the Pantheon and plaza. They also have a great rooftop bar which is especially good at sunset on a warm night. Everything is within walkind […] distance. A great location. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were able to walk to most sites of interest. Taxi and public transportation were easily accessible. I would recommend hotel! The full breakfast was a pleasant surprise and not your typical European fare.

A truly charming hotel : marble floors throughout the public areas and guest bathrooms; fabric-lined walls; and original architectural features retained. Staff are courteous and go out of their way to be helpful. The roof-top terrace where drinks are served has wonderful views,and a good breakfast is provided in the dining room. We were looking for a hotel that felt "Italian", meaning not a chain or an overly modernized hotel. The Senato delivered exactly that. Located in the Pantheon square, the surrounding neighborhood is a thriving mix of restaurants, great churches and friendly people. Our 3 person room was gorgegous, and with ceiling frescos and antique style bed did feel […] very Italian. Bathroom is modern and perfect. Wonderful location and atmosphere! Front desk staff were very helpful with directions. We could buy bus and metro tickets right there.

This hotel is lovely and it's in a perfect location for exploring Rome. It is literally right on the Piazza della Rotonda, where the Pantheon is. The Pantheon is right next to the hotel! The staff at the front desk is excellent. They all speak perfect English and went above and beyond in being helpful. They will attend to your every need, whether it […] be calling a taxi, suggesting a restaurant, or helping to ship a package. The hotel itself is lovely. Very elegantly appointed with lots of marble and I loved the artwork! The rooftop terrace and bar with views over the piazza and the city was a nice surprise! My son and I loved this hotel. We had a room overlooking Piazza del Rotundo and I loved having the windows open and hearing the music being played. The rooms are not large, but they are nicely decorated and extremely clean. Luca and Mauro at the front desk were particularly helpful, warm and friendly. HIghly recommended for its professional service, room comfort and location. No minuses.

This hotel has a 3 star rating, but really should be a 4 star. The only reason that I know of limiting the 4 star rating is the lack of 24 hour room service. Room service is available for breakfast, and is one of the best breakfasts we know of in Rome. The rooms are impeccable, although a little smaller than American hotel rooms, they are not lacking […] in amenities. The location is ideal. You are literally right beside the Pantheon, and a short walk to the Piazza Navonna, Vatican, Trevi Fountain, and a medium walk to the Spanish Steps. You can walk to the Colloseum, but it's about 30 minutes at a leisurely pace, but I would recommend a taxi, and fortunately there is a taxi stand just by the Pantheon. There are numerous shops all around the hotel with an endless variety to choose from. There are also restaurants, small and large, within a five to 10 minute walk, not to mention several right there in the piazza at the hotel. My Daughter and I selected this hotel on the run and we couldn't have been more delighted. The staff was extremely welcoming and the location is wonderful for strolling through that section of Rome. The decor is elegant and breakfast included was a nice plus. I will stay at the Albergo Del Senato again.

We arrived on a Friday and everything was in order and we were well taken care of. Room was clean and as expected smaller. The view is priceless, you feel like you could reach out and touch the Pantheon. Staff was accommodating. I would stay here again, it is worth the price relative to the prime location in Rome. Th only negative was the small elevator […] and it was a bit slow but why the rush in Rome. Plenty of Rome originals close by so you get the feeling of the city. Excellent location. Were able to walk to all major sights without too much difficulty. Right across Piazza from Parthenon. Perfect tourist area. Restaurants and shopping very accessible. Would stay there again

Perfect location in central Rome. Room had view of Pantheon, with walking distance (1-1.5km) to ancient Rome (Colosseum, Forum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc). Metro is about 1.5 km, so not real convenient, we ended up walking everywhere (or should figure out bus system). Vatican City was a 10euro taxi ride. Modest size room, clean, updated decor. […] Staff was friendly and spoke good English (we spoke no Italian, but still got around). From my wife's perspective....hair dryer didn't work (but was quickly fixed) and no iron (fire code), but the bathroom was large and well lit. Most reviews I saw beforehand had this in the 4-Star rating, and would agree. I would definitely stay here again, it was in the heart of the city, serveral piazza's near-by, plenty of resturants to choose from. Continua a leggere

This was our second stay at this hotel and we still love it and will stay again. Location is perfect, walking distance to everything. The room was comfortable and air conditioning worked perfectly. The roof top terrace has beautiful views of Rome.

A great experience. I walked to the Forum/Collosium, Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain & The Spanish Steps. The hotel is better than the on-line photos. The staff was very friendly & helpful. A room with a view was worth the extra charge.

This is the perfect point to begin a walking tour of the city of Rome. We enjoyed our stay here and are looking forward to coming back to take in more of this romantic city. We only had 24hrs before leaving the next day for a cruise, so we had to make the most of it and Albergo Del Senato delivered without a hitch. this hotel was absolutely great, the location was within walking distance of all the major attractions and the service was excellent. the only thing i would fault it on is that we did not have the facility to make a drink in the room. breakfast buffet was very good, service was attentive and friendly. would recommend highly.

The rooms were magnificent. We were on the recently remodeled 4th floor. The rooms were large and luxurious. Wonderful relaxing tub at the end of a night. The bathroom was large. The location was perfect. The Pantheon was within 100 feet of our front door. We could easily walk to all major attractions. There were plenty of great restaurants surrounding […] the hotel (Don't eat in the courtyard, venture down one of the many side streets, we did not have one bad meal.) Breakfast was delicious. The front desk was terrifically helpful. They ordered tickets for the Borghese Gallery for us and gave us helpful tips. (They also had umbrellas out for a rainy day!) This is so perfectly located and the staff is so accommodating that we could find nothing that we would change. We had high expectations because friends had previously stayed. This exceeded those expectations. Wow says it all.

This hotel sits on a fantastic location. All the major attactions are within walking distance (less than 1 mile). It was wonderful to be able to stop by the room for an afternoon rest before heading back out in the evening. Numerous restaurants within walking distance as well. We loved opening our windows to hear the music from the Pantheon Piazza and […] watching activity in the square. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. Perfect location right in front of the Pantheon. You can walk everywhere. The hotel is in very good condition and we were upgraded to a three room apartment. It was wonderful!

I'll start off by saying that the hotel is in a great central location. However, there was an ant mound and dusty floors, and mildew stains on the walls of our first small room followed by mildew oder and dusty floors in our larger second room. I would not go back and would not recommend.

Stayed here for three nights on our honeymoon. The location is amazing, right next to the Pantheon which means that it is placed right in the middle of all the big sights. The room was big, with a big en suite, lovely and cool and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful and always available. highly recommended!

Spent one night in a triple room. Room was spacious even for three adults, comfortable beds and big bathroom. Location of the hotel is excellent, within a few metres of the Pantheon and easy to get to the main sites on foot. Hotel reception staff very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is very well presented. Breakfast selection not huge […] but adequate and fresh. let me preface these comments by saying we have stayed in many hotels over the years and the staff at this hotel was the most freindly of all the hotels i've stayed at! I was greeted like i was part of their family. When i asked if i could check in early they were able to accomadate my needs. they even upgraded meto a spectacular suite for my annivesary.When […] i had a small problem with my ac, they solved it immediately. Lovely room with a great staff to help us with any questions. We were travelling with an 11 month old and they helped with the crib and with our specific travel needs quite effortlessly. The only downside was that the AC wasn't turned on as this was off season. Hôtel très bien situé,à 30 à 40 minutes à pieds des principaux sites, quartier calme la nuit, acceuil très agréable, gentillesse et disponibilité du personnel qui répond à la moindre demande. Terrasse au 6éme étage très agréable le soir pour prendre un verre et avoir une vue sur la ville.

Albergo Del Senato ligger svært sentralt i Roma. Man kan gå til de fleste av severdige steder, plassen rundt Pantheon er også svært hyggelig for en kaffe om morgenen før man starter på dagens aktiviteter. Hotellet har høy standard og hyggelige rom, samt service minded betjening. Anbefales.

Beliggenhed ved Panteon, udsigt fra tagbar over Roms tage. Venligt og hjælpsomt personale. Fantastisk oplevelse. Været i Rom seks gange, på forskelige hoteller, dette dog det bedste.

Ótima estada. A localização não poderia ser melhor. É possível alcançar a pé os principais pontos turísticos do centro de Roma. O quarto era amplo e confortável, localizado na lateral, mas ainda assim com vista para o Pantheon. Quarto e banheiro impecavelmente limpos. Chinelo para uso no quarto. Pequeno chocolate e cartão de boa-noite na última noite. […] A região possui boas opções de restaurantes a poucos passos. O pessoal da recepção é muito prestativo, principalmente a moça da tarde/noite. Oferecem mapa da cidade e informações de caminhos, dicas de restaurantes, enfim fazem tudo para que sua estadia seja ótima. O café da manhã é bom para padrões italianos. Todo o pessoal é muito simpático (garçons, camareiras, carregadores). A vizinhança é um pouco barulhenta (normal na Itália), principalmente em finais de semana, mas o quarto possui boa vedação acústica que garante um sono tranquilo. Oferecem acesso à internet WI-FI (com boa velocidade) em todo o hotel como cortesia, inclusive no quarto. O único detalhe é o valor da diária que é um pouco alto, mas valeu a pena mesmo assim.
