if you like to stay at the mediteranian and also nostalgic architecture you have to see this hotel. But if you very sensitive regarding noise and smell you should maybe stay somewere else, because of the four-lane coast road (cornege) between hotel and sea.
Beautiful - old school charm with modern day standards, for the most part. Hotel staff at reception were repeatedly helpful. Well located though seemed a bit pricey. Wireless in lobby and bar area, expensive in rooms. Excellent location and service
"Terrible Service at the Sofitel Cecil Hotel"
To start the location of the hotel is great and my room was actually very nice bar the fact that the shower didn't work and each time I took a bath the water came up the drain on the bathroom floor. No attempt was ever made to fix this despite the fact I addressed it to the FD three times. I had to wait 40 minutes for my room although it was past check […] in time and when I was escorted to my room it was still being cleaned not what you expect from a Sofitel? The Cecil Sofitel was pretty much as I expected in terms of location and amenities. It was centrally located and right across the street from the bay. The surrounding location was bustling with activity and people. This hotel is about 80 years old, and although it was clean, it certainly has some age to it. Vi fikk Josephine Baker rommet, flott utsikt over havna og Citadel, sentralt i forhold til andre severdigheter som f.eks biblioteket. Stort og flott rom, hyggelig betjening, stilig heis!
