Personalmente io e la mia famiglia abbiamo fatto una vacanza perfetta!! Il clima di creta in Aprile ci ha colpito: mai una nuvola, poco vento, un sole caldo e con poca umidità: perferttto..ed il maris beach è una struttura perfetta per chi ha figli piccoli ed ha voglia di fare mare e rilassarsi. Il cibo offerto è internazionale e soddisfa tutte le necessità. L'hotel offre dei servizi ottimi sopratutto grazie al supporto degli animatori, che sono stati ottimi. Diverse piscine e diverse bar/ristoranti. Ripartirei ora.

Sembrava di stare in un piccolo villaggio completamente immerso nel verde, molto curato, con tanti piccoli appartamenti. Che pace, si sentivano solo i grilli, e il panorama era incantevole, si vedeva il mare e se ne sentiva il profumo! L'angolo cottura è molto comodo e fornito di pentole e stoviglie, manca solo la caffettiera, che noi, per non sbagliare, ci siamo portati da casa. Ad ogni modo usavamo la cucina solo per la colazione perché passeggiando a piedi per il paese si trovano decine e decine di ristoranti, si mangia bene e a buon prezzo. In sette giorni abbiamo cenato in sette ristoranti differenti, l'unico che vi sconsiglio apertamente è vicinissimo al galaxi e si chiama "Danaides restaurat taverna". NON ANDATECI, la qualità del cibo è pessima e le porzioni ridicole, è stata l'unica sera che siamo usciti affamati da un ristorante. L'aria condizionata è a pagamento, noi non l'abbiamo mai attivata perché eravamo sempre in giro e rientravamo tardi.. Ogni 2/3 giorni cambiano gli asciugamani e le lenzuola, e mettono la carta igenica. Essendoci anche il necessario per pulire, una spazzata al pavimento glie la davo io tutte le mattine. C'è lo stenditoio. Il wi-fi funziona solo vicino alla piscina, ed è gratuito e senza password. I ragazzi della reception sono gentili, sorridenti ed educati e sempre disponibili a darvi preziose informazioni. Sulla strada c'è un piccolo parcheggio riservato per lasciare la macchina o il motorino. Di fronte c'è un piccolo market ben fornito che vende anche pane e cornetti caldi. Nessun problema alla partenza, abbiamo lasciato le chiavi e ce ne siamo andati. E' importante sapere che la portineria apre alle 9.00 e chiude alle 23.00, anche se c'è una porta di servizio che è aperta 24 ore su 24, quindi potete andare e venire come vi pare. PS Creta è piena di gatti, tutta Creta, quindi anche il Galaxi. Sono puliti, socievoli e molto dolci, per niente aggressivi, non stupitevi e non spaventatevi se entrano nell'appartamento, vogliono solo f

hotel dalla posizione incantevole e appena si arriva nella struttura situata su un piccolo colle circondato dalle montagne rigogliose sembra subito di essere coccolati dalla quiete e dalla serenita'.Accoglienza cordiale e disponibilita immediata da parte del personale. per una vacanza rilassante e romantica!Consigliato!

La capitale di Creta, il porto industriale e moderno di Heraklion, ospita la città vecchia, solo pedonale, costellata di antichi monumenti veneziani, innumerevoli caffè all'aperto e negozi di abbigliamento. Molti partono da qui per visitare il Palazzo di Knossos, risalente a 4.000 anni fa e che si trova a cinque chilometri nell'entroterra. Il Museo Archeologico della città espone reperti minoici del sito. La migliore spiaggia di sabbia si trova diversi chilometri ad est della città, così come l'Acquario.

"Good hotel in Iraklio"
We stayed here for 3 nights and had no complaints. Rooms are clean and adiquate. Located within 20 minutes walk from the city center. The nighborhood looked safe even at night. Nice facilities and friendly staff. If we had one complaint, its that for some reason, they give you two single beds side by side instead of one double bed as stated in the […] description. "Galaxy - close to town, but tough walking"
The hotel is very attractive and not too far from town, but traffic is bad and walking is difficult because sidewalks are torn up. There are not many restaurants nearby. I would choose to stay in the middle of twon next time or out in one of the smaller towns and simply come into Iraklion to see the Palace of Knossos.

This hotel, which advertised great service, was seriously lacking in exactly that department. While one of the staff was helpful, the others were arrogant and showed no concern. One example - the hotel advertised coffee makers in all rooms. Our room did not have one. "Hospitality" was the staff's motto and they put it in action in small and big ways. Immaculately clean. Modern facilities. We had a medical emergency and the owner and staff offered help in various ways, in the hotel and at the hospital.

"The Galaxy Hotel Heraklion, Crete"
This was our first time in Crete and we were a bit apprehensive about staying in Heraklion after being told by a relative that this was the "dodgy" end of the island. Wrong...Heraklion is fine, we didn't experience anything but friendliness and helpfulness everywhere we went. The hotel itself is a four/five star with comfortable rooms and all the amenities […] that you would wish to find at any leading hotel in any country. The pool area is good and only suffers by being shaded a lot of the time by surrounding buildings. The breakfast is well presented and the wait staff are attentive without being intrusive. I suppose the only downside (if it is in fact a downside) is the location. It is a decent walk to the townsite and harbour (downhill going, uphill return) which is OK if it is not 35 degrees. Really enjoyed the night we spent there, room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were most helpful. There was a plate of complimentary sweets in the room which was a fabulous touch! "The Galaxy Iraklio is well worth a visit."
We booked this hotel for a few of reasons: first we wanted a 5 star hotel and the description of what was offered seemed to suit our needs, second the price was very reasonable and third the reviews provided by other guests were terrific. When we arrived we were more than satisfied with our room and the hotel in general. The service was great and the […] cleanliness of the hotel was amazing. The fresh water pool was also a nice touch, we spent a lot of time enjoying it and the surrounding deck and lounge area. It is also only about 10-15 min taxi drive from the airport. "Wonderful service and stay"
This hotel is a little further from the main area than some other hotels, but still very walkable and much easier to find because it is on such a main road. The staff were extraordinarily helpful- when my husband got lost, they helped me track him down and the bellman went to meet him to direct him back. They provided excellent restaurant recommendations […] and directions to other Crete cities. The included breakfast was delicious with a lot to choose from. "Great hotel and fantastic service"
This hotel was a highlight of our trip in Greece. We got upgraded to a suite upon check in and it was very comfortable, including two TV sets (one in the bedroom and one in the living room) and a very nice bathroom. The pool area is lovely, with the restaurant next to it providing the ability to order a good range of foods and drinks while sitting in the sun. Very nice, trendy design with the peaceful sound of of running water. Breakfast is fantastic with all imaginable local delicacies. The waiters are great and there was even one guy who took a tray with food to the room for my wife (she woke up later than me) after breakfast hours finished! The excellent training of all the stuff really shows. Only con is that the hotel is not that central, but it is close enough to most places and taxis are cheap so this is no biggie for me. Due to a change in plans, my wife and I sought a hotel near the airport in Crete with only a couple of days notice. The Galaxy Iraklio suited our requirements well, and we chose an Executive room, which was of the highest standard. The hotel restaurants were excellent, the pool was clean with top class facilities, and above all the hotel staff were […] charming and spontaneously helpful. Admittedly a city location is not everyone's first choice, but within a ten minute walk Heraklion offers upmarket shopping and a good choice of local restaurants. This was our first time in Crete, and we would plan to visit again, probably spending a week in a resort and a week at The Galaxy. We stayed at this hotel during our recent trip to Crete (May 2009). While we were waiting to check-in, a couple of people who walked in after us, disregarded those waiting in line and jumped the queue. We wre quite upset that the desk personnel did nothing to prevent this (a similar thing happenned while we were trying to check out). Hotel qui mérite ses 5 étoiles. service de tres grande qualité. chambre contemporaine et raffinée. piscine charmante. quartier résidentiel tres agréable bcp de restaurant et commerce. à 10 minutes du centre (promenade tres agreable pour y aller ou bien par bus).
