It was a good stay for what I needed it for. Was dissatisfied with the overall condition of the place.

Had to get a second room because the toilet in the first one didn't work. The second room was adequate. Not bad for the price. Staff was not very engaging. Seemed very bored and inconvenienced to be taken away from surfing the Internet.

Rooms were dirty, mildew and mold on ceilings, ants on counters. Difficult to understand desk staff. I'd rather stay in a Russian hostel than this dump.

polite staff, good location, clean room, good breakfast, reasonably priced. The only issue I encountered was the gym equipment, which didn't work.

The fridge in my room was making a really loud ticking sound. I had to put a pillow behind it to muffle the spound or I would have never slept.

Hotel was just OK, as far as accommodations were concerned. However, it was extremely convenient to SIU and the nearby off-campus housing. Room was clean, but beds were not comfortable at all. Breakfast was skimpy, and the breakfast area was smallish. Two of the three pieces of equipment in the exercise room did not work.

OK place to sleep for the night. Continental breakfast offering was nothing special. Hotel is very dated and could use major upgrading. Doors to outside from room are barricaded shut and non functional. Could present confusion in case of fire. Very uncomfortable beds.

Nice hotel for the price, they could lay off the freebreeze a little, but overall a nice hotel for the money. Staff was very courteous, not hesitating to make you feel welcome. Pool clean and well kept, breakfast was good. i'd stay there again.

"Hotel Close to SIU"
The hotel is in an excellent location to SIU. But the hotel was not up to par. The ice machine was broken, the indoor pool heater was broken as well. We had to go to the front desk to receive remote for tv. Also, there was not any outlet plugs in the room other than behind the refrig and by the sink. The refrigerator did not even get cold. the stay was great, but there was very little heat in the pool area, so i did not swim and one of the reasons i stayed there was to swim.
Non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke and tub had duct tape
