Inn of the Six Mountains Killington

Comfortable casual atmosphere. Friendly and responsive staff. Gorgeous fireplace in lobby. Large sitting area on first floor can accommodate downtime out of the room. Very clean indoor pool area. Great hot tub, pool was a little chilly for me and my toddler.

I was there for less than 24 hours, as I had a race in Woodstock, but it was completely satisfactory as a place to lay my head. The bed was super comfortable and the grounds were pretty. Only things I disliked were that the windows did not open and the carpeted floors were "gravelly" - needed a good vacuuming!

I personally think the location is perfect. I love the design of the hotel lobby, the outside is gorgeous. However, the room itself had chipping paint in the bathroom, the tennis courts outside were very very dirty and the fence falling apart. The indoor pool is very small and was fairly dirty to the point that I was worried about swimming. the room […] I was in with an entire night of air conditioning would not drop below 78 degrees on an 85 degree night/day. The hot tub in the pool room was worth it! The untidy floors in the pool room and poorly kept shower rooms did not really matter to me, but are worth mentioning. The beautiful mountains and super quiet surroundings made it all in the end worth the trip. This hotel is in prime location from Killington ski resort with great views on any side. The staff was nice and accomodating. When the first room we were assigned to had a toilet that was not working, they were quick to give us another room. The indoor and outdoor hot tubs were definitely a plus. Great amenities, very warm and welcoming place!

Based on some of the reviews at this site I did not arrive with high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. True the hotel could use some updating but this is really a minor point. The daily breakfasts were more than adequate served in a pleasant sunlit room. Outdoor hot tub great after skiing was one of my requirements and I was not disappointed. Ski lockers and convenient shuttle to mountain. Nice cookies, hot chocolate and cider. The Inn: I had to cancel due to personal emergency, so I did not stay at Inn of the Six Mountains. The folks at The Inn* were understanding and considerate of my emergency and accommodated my change. For the few minutes I was in the room it was clean, and staff were attentive. Hotels.com: was also accommodating and understanding for my emergency.

The hotel is quite ok, and we really enjoyed the stay! Staff and service could be a bit friendlier, but it didn't bother me much, we received the help we asked for each time we needed something. Breakfast could definitely be improved. Also, a dry sauna would be a great addition.

If this place wasn't high on the Mountain Road it would be a $49/nite dump. It was trashed and crunchy. No wifi in room, tiny tv, lumpy bed. It was clean.

Convenient location for Killington skiers. No problem with parking. Rooms are maintained but could use a television upgrade. The pool area could be better maintained, a step of one of the ladders was broken, an employee was notified yet nothing was done to fix it. My old schoolmaster used to say that all boys need to keep then happy is hot food, and hot water. Whilst I might add a few other things to that list nowadays, the first 2 basics were well catered for. What I want in a ski holiday is a good nights sleep, comfy bed, quiet room, bags of hot water ( bath and shower) and a breakfast to send me out onto the […] slopes for another day on the piste. Add to that a location where the shuttle runs to the base lodges, where there are good eats to be had...whether wings, beers and sports screens ( Mogals.. across the road) or some upmarket dining ( Wobbly Barn, Rocs Lounge..just down the road) and I don't need much more !! Outside hot tub, reasonable pool for a lap or two, and the friendliest, most helpful staff I have come across for a while. Great hotel if you are skiing at killington. Great location to the mountain and bars and resturants. Bar inside. Looks as though it would be gorgeous to sit on the deck and enjoy the view in the warmer weather.

Overall we were up at Killington with friends and spent most of our time on the mountain or at nearby pubs/restaurants so we didn't spend too much time in the hotel or our room, but it was a good value for the price paid. The hotel offered some nice amenities (which we didn't use) - movie night, free DVD rental, free breakfast, pool/hot-tub. Biggest plus is convenience to slopes, and free shuttle to and from Snowshed at Killington. Staff is friendly and check-in easy. Facility needs updating; mattresses are uncomfortable, walls are paper thin, shower heads are funky; garbage was left outside another room for 24 hours. If you are looking for luxury, forget this hotel. But if you are looking for a hotel close to Killington ski resort, this would work for you. There is a bus that picks you up at the hotel. No wireless internet at my room! Breakfast is ok. Room was warm but was not impressed with the cleanness. Smells a bit but was tolerable for me.

This was our second wintertime visit to this inn. The location is excellent as it is close to the ski slopes and to fine restaurants. The service was fine. The general ambiance is becoming outdated. A bit of redecorating would make a big difference (so much potential with the big fireplaces and great views.)

While the hotel was clean it was really tired looking and in need of an upgrade. The rooms were a good size and generally clean, but like the wider hotel, hadn't been refurbished since the mid nineties. This goes for the whole resort of Killington which has exceptional skiing but has very dated facilities.

We had a room on the top floor so the ceiling was high, this gave the room a nice, bright feel. Spacious room and bathroom - light and clean and good for the price. Was a little dated to the 90s. Free DVD rental service, hot chocolate, cookies. I didnt check out the spa though. I'd go back.

beautiful view, nice pool, yummy (and as big as you want and they're anything) breakfast, the personal is lovely, many possibility to things to do, the bed was sooo perfectly confortable and blablabla ..Want do you want more?.. We was very satisfied :)

Pleasant and comfortable hotel, very close to the ski areas. Shuttle is a plus, lockers for skis also a good idea. Pool and hot tub were in good shape, breakfast was pretty consistent. On the negative side, wi-fi wasn't very reliable and the TV was antique..

overall experience good. Entire hotel is outdated. (stuck in 80s) Room was very clean. Jacuzzi indoors and outdoors is a big plus (though outdoor didn't bubble) Breakfast buffet was not great, but had make your own waffles. Very close to Mountain.

I thought this hotel was great. The location was perfectly situated between the mountain and the Wobbly Barn. There were 5 of us coming from New York so we had a late check-in. I called the front desk earlier in the day to make sure that it would be ok it was. The front desk when we got there was very helpful. Since there were 5 of us we needed a cot, […] they gave that to us right away and sent my boyfriend up to make sure the room was ok. With the cot in the room it was tight but nothing we weren't expecting. The beds were 2 fulls and a twin cot, the cot was way more comfortable than the beds. The room did have a balcony and beautiful views of the mountain. The breakfast in the morning was what you can expect from a free breakfast, nothing more, nothing less. When we left for the day we put up a "do not disturb" sign and they left the towels in clear plastic wrapped bag. THe hotel is perfectly situated from the mountain only a few minutes from Snowshed Lodge and within walking distance to the Wobbly Barn. The hotel bar itself was kind of small but had the standard drinks. Everything was pretty clean, the prices were pretty good especially for the location. Front desk guy was courteous but, housekeeping discourteous. On several occasions housekeeping was a problem. They left our room door propped wide open with dirty towels and all of our personal belongs including iPad and new computer open to any passerby to steal. The door was propped open the entire day we were gone, at least 6 hours. Not to mention, […] we had no clean towels and our room was not cleaned whatsoever. On our check out day we went down to our car with our bags and needed to make several trips. Upon our return, in less than ten minutes the housekeeping was going through our room and taking our pocket change. Check out wasn't for hours later in the day either. Would not recommend. I read some of last years reviews AFTER I booked & was so hoping this place was not a dump. but, Upon arrival, the employee at the desk welcomed us, told us we were the 1st check in of the year and was very friendly! He told us the best & cheapest rental places & that a Restaurant across the street was having Turkey bowling for the kids... The Hotel […] looked fresh & clean & pretty , smelled clean too. They had all new carpets in the hallways.. The rooms were spacious and clean, we even had a skylite in our room. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had games & DVD's to be checked out for the kids, which was a big plus... Free Movie night in the mini theater,with free popcorn, was awesome too!!! Everything about it was AWESOME!!!! I am sure this hotel was lovely when new, but now all worn out - broken sink, light, window. Fitted sheet to small for bed,Sunday full breakfast, Monday - eggs & cold breakfast. Might be nice for "snow bums" but not for couple or family.

You can see that in its prime, the property could have been a very attractive location with all the amenities. However it is very obvious that the Inn needs a major face lift. It seems that it caters more to elderly groups as the bathrooms have many grip bars around the shower with raised toilets. The shower heads are mounted way to low. Nice hotel with a nice "great room" for guests complete with large stone fireplace and may comfortable chairs. One strange note, though -- the WiFi was only available in public areas like the Great Room, NOT in the rooms. Very strange!
