"Down town hotel, not so much around"

It is a very old one with some parts renovated (but renovated in a way that you feel to be in 1920s). I got a very nice suite, with A/C and also there the feeling was like to be in a new room of 1920 (the wal paper, the furniture and everytjhing seems to be coming straight from the past. Some other parts are still to renovate and this gives the hotel a magic atmosphere, quite misterious. Last but not least, everybody is very nice and helpful in the hotel and the breakfast can be a real "Gala Dinner" with any kind of food. If you take all of this it in the right way, it is a unique experience, otheriwse it can be just disappointing.

Il locale per la colazione e' piccolo nei pressi della struttura ci sono un discount (7 eleven) e un distributore di carburante. E' necessario comunque avere un'auto per muoversi perche' non mi pare di aver notato fermate di trasporto pubblico nei dintorni ma mi sono fermato solo una notte e quindi non ho avuto tempo di rendermene conto anche perche' ero automunito

"Dirty Bathtub"
Several hairs in and around the tub showed it had not been cleaned. We were given another room, but I had doubts whether that tub had been cleaned. I saw one hair in it and the lever for the shower was left pulled up. When I clean a tub, I make sure that lever is down before I start cleaning. I would never stay there again. Friendly and accommodating. I only stayed one night after a long day of driving, and they didn't have a problem securing me a last minute room. "Satisfied Customer"
If you aren't looking for anything fancy then I would recommend this hotel. It's your basic hotel. The room was clean and staff was helpful and friendly. We got in later in the evening and didn't want to go back out for dinner so we ordered pizza that was delivered right to our room. The continental breakfast was average but we aren't all that picky. Check in was smooth. The room was clean. The room phone did not work our entire stay. The TV kept going off and on. Both problems were reported to front desk and nothing was done. Bathroom tiny. We had a microwave and no refrigerator even tho there was a place for one. Mattress too soft. Breakfast items were cold. Cold eggs are not good. Pool small. […] There are signs all over motel stating new room design/furniture is coming soon. We have been staying at this same motel for 10+ years and it is going down hill fast. We will not stay here again. Great location. Close to dining shopping and Truman Museum. Continental breakfast better than most as it included bacon, sausage and biscuits. Pleasant employees. "Will not be staying here again."
This was the dirtiest, most run down hotel I have ever stayed at. There were cigarette burns in the bedspread (and it was supposedly a smoke free room). The smoke detector was missing and wires were hanging from the ceiling where it was supposed to be. The owners & day staff made this hotel a pleasant experience. They reopened breakfast late for us when we had misremembered the closing time. "Slept well but dragged my feet in the short pool"
I particularly chose this hotel because of the indoor pool and the breakfast.... both were really bad. However, I slept well on one of the queen beds. This really surprised my son who knows I am like " the Princess and the Pea" when it comes to beds! Both the night and morning desk clerks were extremely helpful. I did alert the night clerk after going […] to the room that we were not the ones who put the potato chips into the a/c vent, nor ripped the corner of the sheet :) Overall, we had little extra travel money and needed to be in KC early, so we both agree this was a good choice arriving late after an exhausting day. Our impression of the property is, that like most of us, the owners have suffered with the downturn in the economy and have not been able to do as much upkeep as they and the customers might like. I stayed here for 1 week while my daughter was in a nearby hospital as it is conveniently located between the hospital and their home. The staff were friendly and attentive, my room was cleaned every day and I was most comfortable. "Quiet and peaceful"
We enjoyed our stay and do not have any complaints. Though it is not a new hotel, it is well cared for. THE BEST THING ABOUT IT WAS THE PEACE AND QUIET. There were no big crowds at breakfast or in the pool and the hallways were quiet. There are several good restaurants close by and a good gas/ convienience store. I was impressed from my first visit with the cozy B'fast area, the cleanliness of the room, and with above expected furnishings, including a comfortable bed. It is a very good value hotel. This hotel needs to be cleaned. - not just a quick ru the vacuum. There is so much dirt around the baseboards and in all the corners. It also needs the maintenance dept to fix the textured ceiling in the bathroom of the room I was in. The employee in the breakfast area was a real grouch. Skip this one. Toilet leaked, tub leaked water, tiles in bathroom cracked, dead bugs on the floor in the lobby, room number on phone said 112, we were in room 306...way too much chlorine in pool, pool had a ring around it, back parking lot had HUGE holes in it with rebar visible. The entire experience was less than good and it would appear whoever ownes the hotel, […] could care less about it's condition. "Good hotel"
This pool had an indoor pool, which is a big plus for my family. They served a nice breakfast for 3 hours. The room was nice and comfortable. They have free internet service. "Very Good Budget Hotel"
We were pleased that there were no snags with our reservation. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, the room was clean and comfortable. Our only complaints were that the air conditioning didn't work very well and was noisy, there were guests who were very loud late at night and we could hear a crying baby throughout most of the night (the walls […] were apparently very thin). In addition, the housekeeping staff did not stock the coffee service very well. However, I would give this hotel a very good rating for cleaniness and comfort.
