Room was exceptionally quiet, even with guests on both sides, we didn't hear them at all. Adjacent restaurant was a bit disappointing -- food was cold. However, the Red Lion does NOT operate the restaurant. Will definitely stay there on future Missoula trips.

"I checked out early!"
Hi There This by far and away the worst Red Lion I have ever stayed in. Our room was filthy, there was makeup still on the sheets and hair everywhere from the last guest! The sink actually had shaving cream and chin whiskers in it when we checked in. The shower had not been cleaned in a very long time as there was a dirt and iron ring around the entire […] basin. I wore my flip flops in the shower and even on the carpet! I gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt and left a message for the hotel manager regarding my concerns. When I heard nothing back from the manager- I checked out and checked into the Hampton. My husband who has traveled to very poor nations said it was one of the worst hotels he had ever stayed in. "Convenient and Comfortable Motel"
Comfortable,quiet, and a bit dated motel rooms. Friendly service and convenent to downtown and the University. While the rooms are not fancy or extra spacious everything is in good working order and pleasant. Having 2 sink areas, 1 inside the bathroom and 1 outside is a good bonus. Breakfast has variety but is generally only average quality other than […] the bagels which during our recent stay appeared to be locally baked and fresh. Better than average tea selection is appreciated but unfortunately the hot water container dispenses coffee tinged water and we were unable to enjoy this perk during our multiple day stay . "Cleaning sub par."
The room was adequate, but the cleaning seemed lazy. The furntiure was chipped, scuffed and the shower was old and dingy. Perfectly OK for the price, but if you are super picky, this wouldn't be for you.
Room was large and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Full breakfast was great. I will staff here again.
"Enjoyed our stay!"
Spacious comfortable rooms. Lovely lobby and Casey provided warm friendly service. Didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the breakfast ourselves but it looked wonderful with lots of variety. Would definitely return!
The hotel is OK, I guess it depends on your taste. Average but from other reviews I expected a bit more. Staff was not really happy to be there and provided enough service just to get by.

"Red Lion Missoula"
This is an older hotel but the staff was very helpful. The rooms are a nice size which is great for people with assistive devices and it is directly across the street from St. Pat's Hospital which was a big help.

The old down town facility is dated but nicely furnished and has wi fi with business desk . Good for down town business, but Restaurant in front of Hotel lacks periphery lighting at night, and abandoned grocery store s' parking lot next door is unlit after dark also. "Great Hotel"
This Hotel is not new, but has been well kept-up. the room we had was large and comfortable. only stayed one night on route to Bozeman but this would be a great place to stay longer.

My expectations were not high for this hotel. The room assigned to me had an intolerable musty moldy smell. The girls at the front desk promptly apologized and found me another room which was on the second floor no elevator. But the room was clean and fresh smelling and the bed was comfy. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was good also. Convenient location. Close to the University of Montana.
"Very nice people"
My room was a little cramped due to the monstrosity of a tv stand/cabinet in there. It's a little dated...but clean. and the people couldn't be nicer. I will stay again for sure.

The beds are very comfortable. Rooms open to the outside. When we went to leave we looked under the bed. It had not been vacuumed under there for a while. Gross.

The hotel is located near the river with food and shopping in walking distance. Just a few blocks away was a huge park on the river with a carousel and candy shop which my daughter loved. Being we are from WI I had never heard of Red Lion before, but next time we need a hotel out west we will look them up. "Excellent Choice in Downtown Missoula!"
First and foremost, the staff at the Red Lion was great, some of them were even commuting cyclists. I loved the location's proximity to downtown Missoula as well. I walked to the Wilma Theater in about 10 minutes, and bike riding anywhere on the east side of town was a real breeze as well. "Great place for a good price"
Staff was friendly and helpful. My stay was pleasant and peaceful. There is a Safeway supermarket just behind the hotel which was a convenient place to get good food without having to go out to a resturaunt. I recommend the Red Lion for a good nights stay.

The hotel room was extremely warm with no ability to cool it off. The towels were dirty. The check-in process was slow and down by a very incompetent person. Very disappointed. The room was very expensive. Not my experience with Red Lion. Will never go back!!!

The stay was great except they held money on our credit card without asking or stating they would do so. This happened after I rang them directly prior to my stay and specifically asked if they would do this (and they replied 'No"). When we asked about it later the man in reception got snotty with us.

Our room was nice and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we slept good. Safeway was right near and handy.

The Red Lion in Missoula offers comfortable, spacious rooms. My queen room had an easy chair and ottoman as well as a large desk. The two sinks were convenient even though I was the only person using the room. I valued the glass scotch-style tumblers instead of disposable plastic cups.

"Cold Shoulder"
Red Lion Inn/Missoula is pretty close to downtown and was reasonably priced. I didn't have high expectations...I was actually fine that they didn't heat the room until it was occupied--it seems environmentally and fiscally responsible--I turned on the (noisy) room heater and left. "Zero Attention to Deatail"
The room was clean but the sheets and pillow cases were wrinkly, like they had not been pressed. It looked like whoever made the bed that morning was completely disgruntled.

"Seemed old and pricey"
The hotel was quite dated and I felt like we paid too much for the room. I found hair in the tub drain. We were unable to set the room temp. with the heater (anyway, that I could see). It would probably be convenient for people needing to be near the hospital, but for passing through, it was not easy to find.
"Good cheap hotel for long stay"
We stayed at the Red Lion Missoula for a week to visit with friends in town, and this was a nice cheap hotel for a week long stay. It is a few levels up from a budget hotel, and has recent updates to the rooms (2 sinks, granite counters...), even though the hotel itself is fairly old.
