Sheraton San Diego Hotel, Mission Valley San Diego

Small bathroom but great bedding and TV stations. Good hotel however didn't like the fact that there were no vending machines on the floor; requiring you to go to the lobby for a bottle of water.

Truly blown away with the great service and beautifully remodeled room I had with the incredible low price I paid. I visit San Diego often to see my gorgeous girlfriend and decided to give the Sheraton a try and I think I have found my new favorite hotel to stay at. Thank you very much

Overall nice. Hotel staff were extremely nice but seemed inexperienced. Hotel Bistro served good food. Free wi-fi in hotel lobby was nice. Happy Hour reception in the lobby was modest but nice. Only concerns were (1) bathroom light was broken, I asked for help from the front desk who called maintenance right away, maintenance […] came to look at the problem but never came back to fix it - light stayed broken my entire stay; (2) I had to keep jiggling the toilet handle/popped open the tank lid to stop it from running all night; (3) housekeeping never replaced room amenities consistently - some days there was no soap, other days towels were missing, tea bags were replaced occasionally; $5 coupon was slipped under my door in the middle of the night which scared me because when I first heard the noise, I thought someone was trying to break into my room. The hotel staff is efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Was greeted at check-in and offered a nice salad and cookies. If you have a car the location is great , if walking lots of traffic and have to cross a freeway with a sidewalk on only one side of the bridge restruants and malls on the other side of freeway. Hotel was awesome. Recently remodeled and clean. Staff was extremely attentive and courteous. I'll be staying there again next time a visit the San Diego Zoo :)

The location of this hotel is great. The mall is across the highway and there are many restaurants to choose from. Although the place is clean and comfortable, they seem to have a problem with the septic tank and at times there is a not so pleasant smell that takes over in the lobby and elevators. Otherwise I recommend this location.

Not a bad hotel overall...however only one elevator was working so it took forever to catch one. Not to mention i had to go back to the lobby several times because my first room, the lights didn't work and then the second rtoom the key didn't work. 3rd time was a charm, but since there was only one elevator, it took an additional 1/2 hour to get all […] of this taken care of. Beautifully renovated rooms and quiet on the hillside side of bldg. Enjoyed the wine tasting one of the evenings. Recommend for pleasure or business as much less expensive than the downtown conference hotel when on my own dime. I was hesitant to book at this hotel because of the recent "no great" reviews. This hotel is good! It's very standard but its recently been renovated and everything was clean and up to date. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. No complaints. And it's in a great location. Give them a try!

it was a nice hotel but the elavator service was terrible. we had to wait about 10 minutes before we were able to enter the elevator to go to and from our room.

The only things I would have bad to say are that the pillows sucked and left me with neck pains, even three days later my neck still hurts. And the water pressure in the showers was really low. Other than those two things the staff was nice and bed was comfy minus sucky pillows.

When we checked in there were no pillowcases or soap. Called desk and they were brought up. Next day we left soiled towels on bathroom floor that we wanted changed and our room was not touched that day at all. Had to request towels and coffee that night when we returned. From 12-19 through 12-21 we froze at night while they worked on a boiler problem. On […] 12-19 the TV remote quite working. They did replace the batteries Only the bottom plug in the bathroom worked during our stay. On 12-20 the room was cleaned but we were only left one wash cloth and one hand towel. We called and they did bring linens. On three occasions, we did not have coffee replenished so we just decided to ask for coffee each evening when we returned to our room. Charging ppl for parking and when I booked my hotel package I was told a shuttle would pick me up from the airport I paid for this service and upon waiting an hour I was finally told I needed to call the hotel and arrange to be picked up when I called the hotel they told me they didn't provide pickup services. We came out for the Chargers game & decided to stay for NYE, first off there were no baggage carriers, elevators were all out of order so everyone, during NEW YEARS EVE, had to use the service elevator, the bar had one server, so obviously it took forever to get food or drinks, food was horrible, parking was $14.00 per nite (which we were never told), […] there were NO TOWELS in the rooms, we had to contact front desk for towels (REALLY), over all horrible New Years Eve stay experience!!!! Shower sets off the smoke alarm and the front desk could care less. Checked out early because that irritated me and they hit me with a fake $200 smoking In the room charge. my word against theirs but never smoked in my life. Never staying at a Sheraton again.

The heater in my room broke and it was warmer in the hallway. Only one elevator was operating and the hot water was lukewarm. Service was generally good but the maintenance issues would keep me from choosing Sheraton again

I loved my stay here. Price wasn't cheap but it wasn't too expensive neither. Definitely worth every penny. Nice location, nice rooms. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Hotel was fine, however the key card system constantly broke down. Couldn't get in or out of parking space without assistance, couldn't get into room without having to get new key EACH time. Very frustrating and staff could care less.

Noise from RENOVATION was a huge problem. Smell of paint in the lounge while eating breakfast was a huge problem. Breakfast fruit was not ripe..., it was very hard and the pastries were stale. Bedroom was very SMALL for 2 queen beds. POOR job by Housekeeping, even when a tip was left on a daily basis for 5 days. Ran out of toilet paper and because of […] the poor experience thus far and the cheap single sheets of toilet paper...., I just went out of bought 2 ply toilet paper! The individual who checked us in did the bare minimum and seemed very distracted. Coffee supplies i.e.; complimentary bottle of water, coffee cups and creamer, sweetners, stir stick packets were not restocked so, we had to go to the dining/coffee area for supplies. The […] hotel was undergoing renovations so, meals and especially Starbucks coffee service was extremely limited to almost non-exsistent--disappointment for the major coffee drinker, me! Also, we were not told about a daily $14.00 parking fee charged to guests with a vehicle, we found out about it based on the bill at the end of our stay at check-in, surprise! :( Website needs to advise customers of the impact and inconveniences of their renovation and about the parking fees upon check-in. When we arrived, I found that all the handicaped spaces were blocked off with cones or had construction vehicles parked in them. I parked in a loading zone close by and was promptly told by a construction worker that I was not allowed to park there. I pointed out the construction vehicles in the handicapped spaces and he turned and waled away. When […] I checked in, I was given two card keys for each of the rooms we rented. After going to our rooms, we found that only 1 card worked for 1 room. I went to the front desk and they reprogramed the keys. I went upstairs and discovered the keys still didn't work. I went back to the front desk and asked for more keys. I was given new key cards this time theyopened the doors, however one of the doors would not close and latch. An employee for the hotel just happened to be walking by and tried to help. When he couldn't get the door to close, he called in (I wish I would have noticed his name) and with in minutes, someone was there to repair the door. Almost one hour later, the repairman left and returned with a new door lock assembly. He finally fixed the door. We left the rooms and returned a few hours later but the Handicapped parking places were now blocked by a bus. Again, I parked in the loading area and went upstairs. Early the next morning, I heard a loud thump on the room door. I got out of bed and as I approached the door, a piece of paper slid under the door. It was our hotel statement. Took a room that had been recently renovated....apparently everything but the tub. Thought the tub wasn't clean, but instead it was so worn that it was stained black.

busted bathroom light, swollen and cracked shower room ceiling. Room door does not close properly, u need to yank it in... Worst of all the freeway traffic is very audible. And my bed has a broken spring inside, you can feel and hear it when it "snaps" off. Pleasantly surprised. Overall, the hotel was nice. I stayed for business and would bring my wife or family and stay. I liked the location across from the mall and eateries. I liked not being in the traditional "Hotel Circle" loop, this hotel is far enough away from that mess. Interior amenities were nice and upgraded. Didn't use the pool, but looked […] ok. I don't know why there are bad reviews. I just stayed here for the MNF Broncos vs. Chargers game and I was a little nervous after reading the reviews when I had already booked the hotel. But my husband and I do know that people seem to be over-dramatic when they had a a tiny bad experience. Anyways, good location, nice lobby, our room was clean and […] somewhat updated like updated linens and TV (perfect in my eyes) just a little older room that's all.We were on the 4th floor, and when I went up to the 6th floor because our ice machine ran out of ice I noticed the 6th floor had been completely re-done and looked awesome. I love Sheratons and I have never been disappointed by one even if some I have stayed in were older hotels- still always clean, comfortable, and nice! This was a strange stay. I was in san diego for 3 days on business. The hotel looked great. Well maintained. Staff was friendly but little things were just off. When I got to my room I didn't have a luggage rack and called 3 times before the nice guy behind the front desk brought me one. I waited on housekeeping for an hour. Then I didn't have the "book" […] with all the hotel amenities and services. I eventually got a xeroxed copy of one. However, no towels left for last day..when told the reception desk said.."will make a note of it to hotel services" which sounded like it was no big deal to him but certainly was to us. I have never come in contact with such an unfriendly group of staff members! Not a smile or kind word among them! The parking lot spot light shined directly into our room, the freeway noise was so loud that we had to purchase ear plugs. As if that wasn't enough, I can honestly say that I have never slept in a bed that was as uncomfortable as this one. […] To top it off someone was trying to get into our room at 3am for about 15 minutes. the tv reception was horrible, the carpet was stained, stayed for 3 days and room was only cleaned once, the outside windows could barely be seen out of, my hallway was full of plates and leftovers from room service, no coffee supplies and found this out after coffee was brewed.
