Good for the money but nothing outstanding. Bathroom is small. Beds are comfortable.

"Cheap hotel--good location"
I stayed at this hotel to avoid bad weather. I used the pool which was older but adequate. The best thing about the stay was that the bed was surprisingly comfortable and I even thought of calling them to see what kind of beds they use. The negative is that the hotel is older and smells of old cigarette smoke in places. Also, they have complimentary […] internet but didnt work in my room that was far away from the lobby. The Hotel itself was ok and the stay was ok, ALTHOUGH there was a STRONG odor that seem to hang around by a side door entrance. AND, I didn't feel comfortable walking in the room BAREFOOT-carpet felt a bit ICKY. It would have been nice if there would have been MORE of a VARIETY for breakfast (like bagels) and a bit tastier. The front desk clerks were […] NOT at all knowledgable of nearby attractions for out-of-town guest and at times seemed "put-out" to assist. "Super 8 at Merle Hey Road in Urbandale, Iowa"
Rates were good, however, the cleanliness was very questionable. The pool was not clear it was cloudy. We found a used bandaide and a wrapper under the matteress. Breakfast area was not clean and the tables were not cleaned after use. I would not recommend this hotel nor will we be staying there again.
"Run down and smelly"
We booked this by phone from the road because we needed somewhere to sleep. The room was non-smoking room that smelled heavily of smoke. Everything was saturated with the smell and we had a very hard time sleeping. Pool was murky-looking.
