Hôtel du Louvre Parigi

The hotel is old, and has vayring room standards. Our booking was for a mini suite, and we were first shown to a poky, dark room on the 4th floor, which smelled so terribly of milldew from the bathroom that we just turned around at once. They gave us a room on the 3rd floor, which was much nicer. Towards the courtyard, so no view and some noise from […] ventilation system. But there is probably some noise in all rooms as location is very central. Entrance to Metro right outside, 30 m to walk to the Louvre, wonderful. Crazy breakfast price of 30€ per person. Stay on lower floors, as the floor hight of Paris houses decrease as you go up.Restaurant was good, very nice (although dark!) bar. I am not sure we will stay at this hotel again. Continua a leggere

This Hotel should be rated a 3 star, and not a 5 star, it needs maintenance, for example sealing above the room door inside the room falling down, Air condition did not work, and when I told the front desk about it they told me that the reason was that it's not summer yet, and the charges were not explained correctly at check out.

We had a good stay here. It is a very classy place - but pricey. The facilities are good - restaurant, bar etc but our room was a little small (the bathroom was almost as big!) and looked inwards - i.e no view. It was very clean and comfortable however and since we were only there a couple of days simply for sightseeing the room didnt bother us too […] much. We hadn't realised the price didn't include breakfast, but that was our fault, but we were given an extra discount which mostly offset it. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The hotel was in a great location, the room was very comfortable, especially the bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

We found the hotel to be very comfortable, the staff friendly and extremely helpful, especially with my disabled wife. The location is excellent for the major city sights and shops. The bar and restaurant in the hotel is good and there are many more to choose from in the surrounding streets.

19th century elegance with 21st century amenities including smooth wifi. Pleasant staff, perfect location. Charming yet grand. Spotlessly clean. Loved it.

I have just returned from "Hôtel du Louvre in Paris" I’m gobsmacked that 'The Orange Tulip in Amsterdam' (which has a one star rating) was warmer, the bed was more comfortable and the staff were far more helpful. Our room key didn't work when we arrived back at 1am after seeing a show, three times we had to go back to reception who blamed us, the room […] was freezing with no working heating, we put it on full at about 5.40pm when we returned at 1am the room was still cold, a chilling breeze blew in from the French windows, did I mention it was snowing outside! i asked for blankets and received two but they were not enough, the shower burnt my back and my partners leg as it only seems to do boiling hot or freezing cold, the duvet’s on the beds were too small, I’m slim and couldn’t bend my legs in bed as either my knees or my bum stuck out from below the duvet (we had a twin room), reception staff were rude (not the lady that checked us in or the concierge) and unhelpful. I am well travelled and take 8 holidays plus a year, I will never visit this hotel again, one night was too much. Great location shame about the hotel. Continua a leggere

A very good hotel, excellent location and a wonderful staff. The location is unbeatable considering the proximity to the Louvre and the nearby shopping streets.

This hotel was perfect for our second trip to Paris. Perfectly located. We walked or took the nearby Metro everywhere. Beautiful acomodations and a very helpful staff.

The staff was terrific, warm, friendly and helpful. We do recommend the deal on the breakfast buffet, pay for your stay at check in for a nice discount, everything in the buffet was awesome except the eggs which were unrecognizable as actual eggs and horrible, but everything else was great, still well worth it. Free WiFi was marginal, it kept dropping […] out and I though the cost to use the business center as exorbitant as was the costs for the mini-bar items. But that is all minor, The location could not be better, 2 minutes to the Louvre, 10 minutes walk to Notre Dame or Galleria Lafayette. Le Open Tour bus stops across the street. The Metro stops right behind the back. Can't beat for convenience, comfort and service and Hotels.com got me a great price on a great room. All in all the place was fantastic Continua a leggere

The location simplyb could not be better! The hotel staff were exceedingly helpful and considerate. The room was very nice, a bit small by American standards, but really great for Paris. It was very clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The bar and restaurant are pretty pricey - just stroll around the neighborhood for cafes and bistros.

The hotel is wonderful with polite efficient staff, I would definitely stay again!

Would recommend this hotel very highly!!!! It is in a fabulous location, very nice & helpful staff. The bar is slow for drink service but in overall would stay here again.

Returned a couple days ago from lovely trip including 4 nights at this lovely and charming hotel with incredible location - literally across the street from the Louvre Museum! Service, cleanliness also wonderful. The historical old feel of the hotel combined with modern convenience really leant itself to a great visit. Even my husband who in general […] hates hotels (travels for work too much) approved of this one. We can't wait to go back to Paris and stay here again!!! Continua a leggere

I stayed here over the weekend and I had a fantastic time. Both the hotel itself and its staff were great. The location was ideal and within easy reach of most of the beautiful sites that Paris has to offer. I would definitely stay here again either with family or as a romantic getaway as the hotel caters for all.

The hotel was close to the Louvre. The lobby and entrance were impressive. The room was a little small and the furniture were worn down. In American standards, it would be a 3.5 star hotel.

Just returned from a fabulous trip to Paris. The hotel was exactly what we wanted, good location, larger room than most in europe, and excellent service. Nice old hotel in a great location. Right next to the Lourve and the Seine River. Hotel offers 40% off cocktails in their bar which is good because the prices are incredibly high. The hotel is older and the rooms are small but the location makes up for the size. Just walk out the front door and get to the many sites in Paris easily. When you are at […] that location there is no reason to stay in your room anyway. Highly recommend the Auto Bus hop on-hop off boat taxi. We stayed in a nice, large junior suite with our young daughter. The hotel is centrally located which allowed us to walk to many major sights. The metro stop and 2 "hop on-hop off" bus stops are right near the hotel. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Location of this hotel is great. It's across the street from the Louvre, easy (10 min) walk to nice restaurants recommended by very helpful concierge, plus it's right next to a Metro stop, so it's a great launching point to all the sights (if you're comfortable navigating a subway). A beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The staff were extremely helpful. The Louvre is across the road and a metro station at the door. Loved the bar for a pre-dinner drink. Enjoyed dinner in the Brasserie. Reminded me of the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne.

Walking distance to major museums, banks of Seine, Latin quarter etc. This was the best part for us. E.g., we could come back to the hotel to refresh after a session in the Louvre and then go out again in the evening. Bathrooms were large (suprisingly) and clean, even luxurious. Staff was very polite and understood enough English so that we did not […] face a language problem. A negative was that we were not able to get into our room until past 3 pm. The staff at the reception and the concierge are very friendly and helpful. The concierge even went out across the street in the rain to get us taxi.

Wonderful hotel with a small but clean room and very large bathroom. beds were very comfortable and the room exquitely clean. The staff was very friendly and everyone spoke English which helped me and my daughter alot since we only spoke a few French phrases. The location is AWESOME. Very central and convenient to everything. We walked to all the sites […] since they were close to the hotel but there is also a metro stop 2 blocks away for those who don't want to walk. Loved this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Great bathroom. The location was phenomenal. Very close to sights and metro. Nothing we didnt like about this hotel.

If you want easy access to the Louvre, this hotel is it!

Literally steps from the Metro in the heart of Paris, the Hotel du Louvre offered a great room at a fair price. Our room was quiet with an unique double-door between us and the hallway. The bathroom was spacious in our superior room. Check-in and out was easy. We would definitely return to this property.

Location of this hotel is great. I've made several trips to Paris, and this hotel has he best location of any hotel I've every stayed in this city. For Paris 4 star hotels, this one is good -- Americans who have never visied Paris before will be disappointed; Americans who are familar with Paris hotels will be pleased, because they know a decent hotel […] in a good area is going to be expensive (given the current dismal value of the dollar). We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive and everything was clean and very wel appointed. The room was a "junior suite" with only one unusual attribute that the toilet is in a separate room with no sink, so to wash hands, you needed to exit and go to the shower bathroom. The location is great, only perhaps a hundred […] yards from the Louvre Garden. We ate our last dinner in Paris at this restaurant and they provided a very nice meal with good service. The team here are all very well trained and enthusiastic - for instance the female concierge ran across three lanes of busy traffic to secure a taxi for us, which is completely unprecedented in Paris in my experience. The room was elegant but small. The location is great--centerally located. Room rates were pretty high, and the bar and restaurant brutal. Nor would you want to use the mini-bar! Paris is astonishingly expensive anyway, but especially in this part of town. The bed was comfortable but way too hot until we got the coverlet changed to a sheet and blanket. […] Half the light bulbs in the bathroom were out and the AC didn't cool very much, but other than that, the room was nice. The hotel staff was excellent, with the exception of waiters. The location is great for walking to many of the major attractions including the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, river Seine and Eiffel Tower. Great location! Walking distance for many major sites. Taxi stand across the street and the Metro station across the street in the other direction. Remy, one of the Concierges there is awesome. Trust this man's recommendation on restaurants. I gave him the name of two restaurants that had so-so reviews but were very close. He knew them both and said […] that there was a better place and booked us reservations for that night and it was excellent. The room had a musty scent that never went away but other wise the Hotel is fine. The breakfast add-on is 22.00 Euro a person. It's cheaper to go out. Across the road from the Louvre, surrounded by cafes, bars and within a close walk of lafayette, opera and above the metro line. The staff were fantastic - welcoming and helpful. The hotel was so nice that when we arrived at the metro station and walked to the front door, i had to check the address to make sure we were in the right place, it was beautiful. […] We didn't have breakfast included and it was a little pricey but there were countless bars in the surrounding blocks so we always found somewhere to eat. Be wary of extra charges on your bill on departure. They charged us for use of the minibar which we had not used but they did correct the charge. Also a service fee added to tickets to attractions you may wish to buy a head of time and spend less time in the queues Good location. Easy to get to all sites you would like to see.
