ottima posizione: davanti ad una bellissima spiaggia libera, centro facilmente accessibile coi mezzi, zona tranquilla e vie con negozi d'elite.... personale gentile e disponibile, ambiente silenzioso e riservato. prima colazione con notevole scelta

E' un hotel pulito, camere molto belle, colazione abbondante, personale molto gentile e socievole. Buonissima posizione perché è nel centro storico di Atene e puoi girare a piedi per i vari quartieri; se vuoi visitare altro, a 200 mt c'è la metropolitana e un infinità di bus di linea ed anche l'X95 che collega direttamente l'aereoporto alla piazza Syntagma (del parlamento). Lo consiglierei a tutti, ad occhi chiusi.

Ottimo Hotel a due passi dal centro e dalle principali zone di interesse turistico (acropoli, agorà e musei), a due passi dalla metropolitana. Personale gentilissimo, camera silenziosa e pulita anche se non estremamente grande ma comunque confortevole. Molto buona la colazione.
Posizione
Questa struttura con collegamento all'aeroporto sorge a Atene (Omonia). Novotel Athenes si trova nelle vicinanze dei seguenti luoghi di interesse: National Theatre of Greece, Municipio di Atene e Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Atene. Nella stessa area sono inoltre presenti: Partenone e Museo Benaki.

Piazza Omonia, in centro, è un trafficato snodo in cui confluiscono sei strade principali e dove è situata anche una fermata della metropolitana. Oltre ad ospitare diversi hotel moderni, molto frequentati dai gruppi turistici, è in prossimità del museo archeologico nazionale e del mercato centrale. È qui che in occasione di vittorie sportive i tifosi si riuniscono per festeggiare.

L'hotel è molto bello, allineato allo standard della catena di cui fa parte. Servizio cortese ed accurato, Molto gradevole, anche se un pò piccola, la piscina all'ultimo piano, impagabile dopo una giornata in giro per Atene. Dotato di garage sotterraneo privato, direi fondamentale. Unica pecca il posizionamento, all'interno di un quartiere piuttosto […] degradato. Per la verità Atene in generale è una città nè bella nè pulita, se escludiamo acropoli e zone limitrofe. Tuttavia è proprio un peccato uscire da un hotel così bello e trovarsi di fronte a palazzi fatiscenti, negozi abbandonati e cumuli di immondizia. Non credo sia un quartiere "pericoloso", forse solo brutto, ma consiglio comunque di tenere un profilo basso e muoversi in gruppo dopo il calar del sole. Continua a leggere
"Perfetto sotto tutti gli aspetti"
Ero già stato in questo albergo 11 anni fa. Devo dire che in questi anni è migliorato molto sia perchè è stato ristrutturato (specialmente i bagni sono eccellenti con doccia a cascata straordinaria) ma anche per il fatto che essendo comunque in centro, ma in una zona tranquillissima, si trova ora a cinque minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria dove […] si trova una fermata del metrò che è modernissimo e comodissimo. La colazione, che conviene prenotare assieme alla camera, è molto abbondante alla francese. Inoltre se avete bambini, vi sono offerte a prezzi molto vantaggiosi. "Lontano dalla metropolitana ma centrale e funzionale"
Arrivando dalla metropolitana (fermata Victoria) si impiegano 10 min. a piedi. Il quartiere non è per nulla pittoresco. Vicino all'albergo vi è un ristorante aperto 24 h su 24. L'albergo ha camere moderne, molto bello il bagno! L'insonorizzazione è buona, ma si sente il rumore dell'aria condizionata dei corridoi dell'edificio. Nice staff and rooms were fine. Location was not the best - and did not feel safe waling to Metro from hotel.
Great hotel in the best french tradition.It is however located in a disantvantaged area of Athens .The metro station is less than a ten minute walk away and makes going everywhere easy and comfortable. Great hotel with views of the acropolis from the roof top. Staff knew english and were very helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great pool and bar on the rooftop. However surrounding neighbour seemed sketchy.

The hotel is clean and well presented with a very nice rooftop pool and bar restaruant with a great view of the acropolis, well equipped gym . Our room was well serviced and clean . The staff were very friendly and helpfull the surrounding area is best described as an eye sore with graffiti covering almost every inch of wall space I would recommend […] not getting a taxi from one of the drivers who hang around the entrance we had very unpleasant ride with one, the staff went so far as to call the police. "Warning"
Located in the middle of red light district, not advisable to go out after dark. Grafiti every where. Not nice. Food average, pool small and shallow 0.5m at on end. View from roof nothing special, Restraunt on the roof been to bigger roadside food vans. Spend your money on 5 star. For a bit more money you can get a lot more and be safe!
"Good & Bad"
The Hotel was clean and the staff were all friendly and very helpful. The free wifi was also good although only available in the lobby. As many have reviewed, the surrounding neighbourhood is a bit dodgy but it did not seem unsafe. The rail and metro are also easy to get to. My main complaints with the hotel are the room comfort and the prices of bar […] and restaurant. The AC in the rooms is very weak and the comfort of the beds poor. Also the pillows would be the worst we have had in a hotel. We did not sleep well at all. Don't bother with the restaurants. We tried the "cheaper" one downstairs on the last night and were extremely disappointed. The food is reasonably expensive which would not be an issue if it was a reasonable quality but it was well below poor quality. Did not try upstairs. Be prepared to pay through the teeth for drinks on the roof top bar. It is a nice veiw though and the pool is nice as well. There are a lot of reasonably priced restaurants in the area that serve excellent quality food and drink. I would recommend this and from the emptiness of the restaurant I think this is what most guests must do. Also breakfast is way above average in price. Not bad but not really good. Continua a leggere

The hotel was spotless and the pool was very clean. I can't say enough about the staff, they were so helpful and friendly with everything, they couldn't do enough for us. We booked a one day cruise through them and loved it.

Novotel hotels are consistent world-wide. Clean, reasonably priced, modern hotels, often in poor locations in a City. This one was no exception but, I would not stay there are again if visiting Athens. The Hotel was good but, the area was terrible.

the room and the hotel is clean and good maintain. Only problem is one of pc provided in the lobby for free internet access is not working for my entire 3 nights stay. Notified the hotel staff and they said already informed IT department but it take ages to be fixed. So only one pc available which is definitely not enough. Don't expect too much on the […] gym facility, it has only 3 equipments in the small room. Not sure about the pool as it was closed when i visited in october. The nearest metro will take at least 10 mins by foot but is not a problem for us. from the port to hotel will cost not more than 20 euro if you cross the road to the opposite to take meter cab. Convenient location close to Metaxugrio metro. Colourful neighbourhood in old part of Athens, area around hotel can be a bit seedy in the evenings.

Very nice hotel with a really nice poolarea. Great view of Athens and the Acropolis. Clean and comfortable room. Not very big, but ok. Sofabed as extrabed was ok for a child (but maybe not for a grown-up). Close enough to the Metro.
"Super clean , comfortabe hotel"
Very comfortable , great bed/shower etc. The area around Omonia is very dodgy but most hotels in this area anyway. Free internet access , great bar , would definately stay again
We were very glad that we stayed at this hotel. The receptionists were welcoming, friendly, efficient and kind. There is 3 nice big lifts in the hotel. The hotel is appearantly not in a good area but it looked to me like the rest of Athens. The area was not seedy. The Larissa metro was less than a 5 min. walk awsy. One gets the feeling that the hotel […] thinks of everything to make their guests happy. From a cute playing areas for little ones with their own computors and games to free internet and use of 2 dedicated computors for the hotel guests in the lobbly. The hotel is clean and very spacious and comfortable. The selection of food at breakfast was overwhelming and good. The swimming pool on the top of the hotel was a winner and welcome in the heat of Athens. I got the idea that some families just stayed for the day without going out. The view from the roof were unbelievable. Athens is massive and I were told that Greece has a population of 12 million of which 5 million live in the area. Thank goodness for the excellent new, clean and efficient metro thanks to the Olympic games. There was a great local restaurant around the corner where we ate at night. I always prefer eating out where the locals do. The prices are half of the hotell's and the food portions were way too big, delicious and fresh. When you exit the hotel, turn left, cross the road and walk left and turn right at the corner. It is less than a minute from the hotel. Continua a leggere

"Rude staff, unaccomdating & dirty bathroom"
The staff was pompous and not accommodating. They made us feel as though we should be honored to stay at their hotel, but this hotel wasn't even high-class. The bathroom was dirty upon arrival, and a light was broken. When asking the staff for help they were not helpful. Although the location wasn't the most picturesque, the hotel could reasonably be reached via metro and a short walk from nearly anywhere in the city. The room was very clean and comfortable. "Skimpy"
The hotel has decided to economize by not providing air conditioning or hot water. The thermastats in the room did not work. There was no air conditioning in the room even during days when the temperature was over 90. The water for showers and shaving was never more than lukewarm. "Ultra Modern Hotel in Less than Desirable Part of Athens"
I was very pleased with the interior of the Novotel Athenes. It's very modern and everything looked brand-new. Aside from the location (near Omonia, which is not a very good part of Athens anymore, and not near any tourist attractions), I was disappointed when I was given a smoking room. The room was immaculate but the cigarette smoke permeated everything, […] making it unpleasant for us. When I called the front desk to complain, they simply said that they didn't have any other rooms available and they did not offer any assistance in removing the odor (housekeeping had already left). Other than that, the room was pretty spacious, good lighting, gorgeous bathroom and nice toiletries and linens, and it even had a little pot to make coffee and tea right in the room. The gym was simple but had a functional elliptical trainer, towels, and a big flat panel tv. The swimming pool also looked welcoming from the rooftop, but I didn't get a chance to check it out. Breakfast is not included, and costs a whopping 15 euros (I did not partake). I think it's a shame that such a nice, modern hotel is located in such a rough part of Athens. I probably would not go back again due to the bad location. If it were located in a safer neighborhood and closer to the tourist attractions, then I would return in a heartbeat. If you are not a tourist and the neighborhood does not bother you, then I would definitely recommend this hotel. Just make sure to specify whether you want a non-smoking room in advance! ""Overpriced Without Regard to Complimentary WiFi""
As a busy professional and traveller, I was amazed how one amenity wasn't complimentary such as WiFi. I had to travel all the way to Syntagma Sq, Athens, Greece. for it (WiFi) during my stay. For a high and price rating hotel, I hoping for complimentary WiFi; but I would recommend only if the guest can do without WiFi. "We were sorely disappointed..."
This hotel was a big disappointment. It's not very close to a metro line and forces you to walk through sub-optimal neighborhoods (for up to a half mile) to get there. There are no sheets on the bed, but rather, a comforter that apparently has it's cover changed daily (we felt that was a little suspect). There were grime stains in the shower and dirt […] stains on the floor. There was only one front desk person working after 11pm (when we got there) and after 2 requests for sheets, we finally had a security guard bring them to us (only to find out they were the extra covers the comforter). "Nice Hotel, Bad Neighborhood"
The hotel was nice however, when our friends picked us up to go out, they told us not to walk outside by ourselves at night, it was semi-dangerous. You can tell somewhat when you are there but because the normal tourist areas in Athens are generally dirty anyway, you may not fully realize. The pool area was very nice and easy access. "Great hotel but not brilliant location"
Hotel was great - lovely pool etc and views of the Acropolis, however the location is a bit of a nothing location. We always had to get the metro to sites and out again out for dinner as there was nothing around the hotel. However for the price, you wouldn't find anything as good quality anywhere near the Acropolis.

"Excellent Hotel, Scruffy Location"

"Nicer hotel than I was expeting"
Really cool and modern inside. Felt very European and hip. Rooftop restaurant was yummy, a little pricey, but had interesting things i wouldn't have had otherwise. The night view from the roof was unbeatable with the lit up acropolis in the distance. Realized too late that the "Larissa" station on the metro system was indeed the closer stop to find […] hotel on foot. A couple of euros for internet use in a separate lobby lounge was very handy. A very roomy room at a good price. We thought the neighborhood a bit rough, but then we could see, it was a bit tough all over compared to the smaller town we come from; don't be put off, it's not dangerous, people live in the neighborhood after all. I loved the handy rooftop pool for mid-day cooling off and view. We didn't have the breakfast at 15euros because we got frappe and fresh bakery at every turn on our way to the metro. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe eines Viertels, dass Abends nicht sehr angenehm ist. Das Hotel ist sehr modern, ist allerdings von alten baufälligen Häusern umgeben und abendliche Spaziergänge sind nicht ratsam. Das Bett war ein Metallklappbett - naja. Da mag jeder selber seine Meinung bilden.

"Megtet kold pool."
Poolen var dejligt placeret, men vandet var MEGET koldt. Det synes jeger for dårligt, når man tænker på hvor mange stjerner hotelet har. Vi havde glædet os meget til at bade i poolen, men vi blev meget skuffet..Resten af hotellet var fint. MVH Jørn.

"Hotel Novotel de Athens"
El hotel está muy bien, la habitación grande, cómoda, la cama supercómoda, el baño muy correcto, la zona de internet con dos ordenadores muy potentes genial, la única pega que le pongo es la zona porque para llegar a él en transporte público tienes que pasar por calles en las que ves de todo, pero de ahí que el precio sea genial y muy asequible.

"Un séjour très agréable"
Hôtel tout confort. Chambres spacieuses, propres et climatisées. Piscine sur le toit avec vue sur l'Acropole. Seul commentaire négatif : il n'y a pas assez de transats pour s'installer autour de la piscine.
