unico neo del soggiorno? ero in macchina ed il parcheggio interno dell'albergo è tutt'altro che gratuito...18 euro la prima notte, 8 la seconda!! parcheggiare all'esterno è praticamente impossibile data l'assenza di posti auto gratuiti....per il resto, tutto assolutamente perfetto!!

Camera familiare molto spaziosa con 2 letti matrimoniali. Il bagno non era all'altezza di un hotel 4 stelle. Il percorso per raggiungere la camera era piuttosto lungo e tortuoso (2 ascensori, lunghi corridoi di cui uno con una porta ad apertura comandata dalla chiave elettronica della camera). Very large family room with 2 double beds, The bathroom was not align with a 4 stars hotel. The path to reach the bedroom was rather long (2 lifts, long corridors of which one had a door driven by the bedroom key card).

Questo quartiere, cuore pulsante di Amsterdam, attrae fiumi di visitatori che si riversano dalla Centraal Station a piazza Dam e alla sua magnifica Nieuwe Kerk (XIV secolo). La parte più antica della città, Oude Zijde, è famosa per il quartiere a luci rosse, ma l'università e i moli hanno infuso uno spirito e un colore nuovo a queste vivaci stradine. "Ottima Posizione - Hotel Eccellente"
L'hotel e' centrale, il servizio eccellente, ed ilpersonale molto gentile sempre in grado di dare ottimi consigli. La pulizia delle camere e' sempre molto attenta, raccomando fortemente questo Hotel. Credo che comunque dovrebbe essere menzionata la tassa sul soggiorno (che viene applicata da ogni hotel ad Amsterdam) in modo da evitare soprese al momento […] del check out. "Posizione fantastica:praticamente in piazza DAM"
La struttura è in una posizione fantastica per visitare Amsterdam: a 400m dalla stazione centrale e di fronte a P.zza Dam, il cuore di Amsterdam. La camera (superior) è pulita e spaziosa. Gli arredi sono un po' vecchi. Il prezzo è un po' alto rispetto alla media, ma tutto sommato ne vale la pena.
"peccato per la city-tax"
non ho gradito il fatto che al nostro arrivo hanno voluto un fondo casso dicendoci che era per il frigo bar, e poi quando siamo andati via si sono trattenuti una somma sotto forma di tassa definita city-tax...?non mi sembra molto corretto. Per il resto albergo centrale ed un'ottima struttura.

Despite early morning arrival, room was ready within an hour. Reception staff was great and very professional - within a day, they knew our names and greeted us throughout the stay always making sure we had everything we need. We stayed for two days, then did a side trip to Salzburg, and returned for another two days. We stored our excess luggage at […] the hotel while gone at the hotel. Location is excellent - once we figured out the tram system. From Central Station, it was easy to get a 48 hour Tram Pass (just outside the station) and catch either the 4, 9, 16 or 25 Tram to Dam Square where it stops right in front of the hotel (about only 3-4 blocks from Central Station but a decent walk nonetheless with luggage)! Business and Fitness Center on 2nd Floor were wonderful. The hotel is around the corner from Dam Square so not right on top of all the activity. "Amsterdam - good location"
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Perfect location, walking distance to central station, Dam square and others spots. We got a good a deal for the nights without breakfast, but we had breakfast at nearby places every morning. Can really recommend the hotel and if next time we go to Amsterdam we will most likely stay at Swissotel.

Very pleasant stay. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful with booking trips, restaurant recommendations and transportation. Sonya (sorry if I've spelled the name wrong) was the best - very friendly, professional and helpful. We were also pleasantly surprised how children friendly they were (gifts and greetings to my daughter). "Excellent location and comodities"
Very easy to reach, most centrally located hotel. Its equipped with different commodities that might make your stay very pleasant. I strongly recommend this hotel and not only for business travel. Price is very good for all that offers.

The hotel offered a good room to a good price and the location was excellent for us, since we were there to look at the city centre and all of the sights. Even with a crowded street out front, out room located in the back was very quiet and we had the window open all night. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and the room was very good (Standard […] room, queen size bed). We rented bikes from the hotel and had a wonderful day trip around the outer parts of Amsterdam, the ones you never see if you just walk. There were many good restaurants around, one of which we just have to share: CAU - an Argentinian meat restaurant across the square (about 200m walk) offered one of the best meals I have ever had. "Not bad but not worth the money"
It is simple. If you pay more then avarage, you expect more. The swisshotel is not that bad, free coffee on the room is actually kind of nice. But if the bathroom floor looks and is dirty and the room looks like it should cost you at least 100 Euro per night less then its clear that you are not that satisfied with you choise of accomodation. I have […] been to 79Euro per night business hotels that are way better then the swisshotels. Its not that I am the most detail oriented person (like my girlfriend who is much more dissatisfied with the hotel then I am) but it was obvious that you can not take that kind of money for this hotel. The location though is amazing but then again, Amsterdam is so small that it really does not matter much. Over all I would say, not that bad for a hotel but REALLY not worth the money!!!! "Excellent Rooms, Service and Location"
The Swissotel in Amsterdam is ideally located near all the Central city attractions. The Centraal train station is 10 minutes away. The Flower Market is close by. You can walk to a broad range of restaurants. The hotel is clean and modern by Swiss standards with comfortable beds, superb bathrooms and large windows. The staff is professional and helpful […] and can speak any language needed to help the guest. I was able to get help with directions to a local market and restaurants. "Swissotel- Great location"
A very nice hotel, very clean and comfortable. The location was outstanding. Close to everything. One little bad point was that my room was looking out into a shop stairway where people were always looking in but didnt spend much time in the room so wasnt to bad. I would stay here again but would ask for a room with a view.

"Convenient and comfortable Swissotel"
We enjoyed our stay at the Swissotel, has everything you need. Staff friendly and helpful. Very good location on Dam Square. Excessively priced internet but they have a business centre with three computers and printer which was handy. Can hear other guests coming and going and cleaners in the morning - rooms could be better soundproofed.

Great hotel. Wonderful and helpful staff. Great location. Only gripe is that there isn't an electrical outlet near the bed (I use a breathing machine to sleep). Had to move the bed across the room to plugin my machine.

Step out of hotel into the middle of everything fun and exciting. Look out your window and see the hustle and bustle of the city. Internet room stayed stocked with yummy treats. We had 2 types of apples, mixed nuts, white and dark chocolate, PLUS unlimited orange juice and water.

"Swissôtel Amsterdam - in the heart of the city"
Great hotel to stay at! Clean and right in the middle of Dam Square, which is right in the middle of everything! The junior suite i got was amazing, huge room and completely comfortable, exactly what i needed to end my wonderful stay in Amsterdam. The staff was freidnly and the connecting restuarant was great at delivering room service fast and tasty! […] I would defintiel;y stay here again and probably get the same room, that room was just so nice, they have pillow serive too, which i fell in love with, their support pillows are great, i need to go buy me one! The shower was perfect, adjustable height of the shower head and it wasnt a fixed one so it was great when i washed my long hair, i could use it handheld! "noise and crummy internet"
The hotel is in a very noisy neighborhood with street musicians with amplifiers playing outside the windows until 2 or 3 in the morning. the expensive internet systme only allows one isp address so you can not use your computer and your iphone - a truly stupid system that limits the hotel as a business hotel. very dissappinting.

The hotel staff where very friendly and polite, room was comfortable but on the very small side, no where to unpack the case and store clothes or the suitcases. The in house safe was locked by a previous occupier and only the Manager could reset but he was obviously very busy and we had to wait a few hrs for it to be reset. Other than that, the room […] was clean and comfortable with lots of little touches that made you feel welcome - bottles of water and mints left on bedside cabinets, little essentials like nail files etc left in the bathroom. "Shame about the noise"
Great hotel, great location. I would stay again. The only down side was the noise from the workmen below. So if your about to go make sure your not on the first floor at the back of the hotel.
I consider myself as a traveller who has travelled extensively and the staff of Swissôtel Amsterdam is one of the best I ever met. Location is excellent. The room was big and confortable, airconditioned with a city street view. We got two free bottles of water every day (except Sat) and we got a Bowl of Fruits from the general manager at the first night […] and a welcome letter. I liked it. The room can hear the street at night but there were no cars it was only voice of people, but no impact if you are tired after a long day. Is still the first choice next time Continua a leggere

Excellent location right next to the palace in Dam Square and within walking distance of shops and central station. The hotel was under remodeling and the decor of the interior hallways spaces were a bit dated, but otherwise the rooms were clean and updated and the service was good. "Swissotel Amsterdam - Expensive but worth it!"
My fifth trip to Amsterdam and I've stayed in a different hotel each time. Without a doubt this was my favourite hotel by far. Perfectly located with extremely helpful and friendly staff I can't recommend this place enough. A bit more expensive than most hotels but worth the extra cost in my opinion.

We recently stayed 5 nights at the Swissotel in Amsterdam. We really loved it. The rooms were very modern, clean, comfortable, well equipped and on the large side. Even by American standards they were fair sized. The staff at the front desk was continually cheerful and helpful, they were a real plus. Breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced. The […] exercise room had good equipment for a hotel, I was able to do a surprisingly large part of my normal gym routine. And the price was very reasonable. At the time, they were renovating the public areas, so part of it looked like a work in progress. Perhaps they lowered the rates a bit for that, altho it really didn't affect anything. The location is worth mentioning. It's right at Dam Square. This means it's very conveniently located and you have immediate access to the square and everything around it. It also means that it's pretty young, crowded, and back-packer oriented. The energy around it is pretty positive and happy, not threatening in any way, but if you're looking for a genteel or upscale environment, it's not that. Think of Times Square in NY. "Take out a mortgage first"
This hotel is VERY expensive indeed. For the money I paid I expected a LOT more for my money. The room was very basic indeed. And to top the high price the mini-bar wasn't inclusive of the price of the room, £3 for a can of coke!. Can't fault the location, right in Dam Square ideal starting point for visiting Amsterdam.

The hotel was right in the heart of the city. Aside from some minor cosmetic things due to remodeling, it was very clean and nice. The room was small, but very comfortable and had all the necessary conveniences. The pillow menu was a nice touch. Would stay there next time I go to Amsterdam if possible.

The hotel offers a terrific location right on Dam Square with lots of action right at hand. Restaurants, bars and shopping abound in the area. The service is excellent and the executive rooms are nice even if gkod Internet access ios pricey. Stay away from the exorbitantly priced laundry service.
"Great weekend"
It was fantastic weekend. The hotel is in very good position.About 10min walk from the Central station,and around the corner of the Dam Square. Rooms are small but comfortable with the tee and coffe machine.Very nice and clean.Just outside you have tram stop so you can travel whereever you want to. It is a very good place to stay.
The only reason this hotel does not get a perfct score is that the building itself has a very shoddy appearance. When I first got on my floor I got teally concerned but the room itself was very nice. The staff could not have been better,. Very helpful and very knowledgeable. Extremely friendly. Other negative is no free iInternet in room The attached […] restaurant is just so-so. Poor service. "queens day weekend"
took my girlfriend away for her birthday and i chose this hotel as i stayed there in december and enjoyed my stay and this time was just as good and my girlfriend was well impressed with the hotel and its location, if i ever go back to the dam again i will stay here.
"Overbooked - Sent Me Packing"
Arrived only to be told they were overbooked even though my room was pre-paid. Said they would pay for a taxi and send me to the Radisson Blu. Waited nearly an hour for the cab, by the time we checked in at the Radisson nearly all restaurants were closed and we walked forever to find one that would serve us. "Nice hotel...but beware it is under remodel!!"
our room was very nice, however the public spaces are under a remodel. daytime noise and workman running around. staff was excellent. morning breakfast very nice. wifi signal very spotty. i had to sit in the hallway to get reception. i would stay there again after remodel is complete.
Staff was very friendly, and helpful. When asked about the breakfast (which was 20 EUR), directed me down the street to a bakery where I could get better food, for MUCH cheaper. The common areas of the hotels were still under repair when I visited, and were not very attractive.
