eravamo in tre ci siamo adattati una camera che da noi usiamo come cameretta per i nostri figli, comunque abbiamo soggiornato ugualmente una cosa che non condivido oltre all'ampiezza della camera sono le finestre che non servono a niente entra aria ghiacciata da tutte le parti. rifate gli infissi grazie che sicuramente torneranno piu' gente del solito.......

Dopo aver letto centinaia di recensioni sugli hotel di londra, ero terrorizzato dalla possibilità di trovarne uno sporco. L'hotel Re, si è dimostrato un eccellente hotel. Personale della reception gentilissimo, camera giusta e soprattutto, camera, bagno e letto IMPECCABILI! Cambio quotidiano di tutta la biancheria, climatizzazione indipendente e ottimamente servito dai mezzi pubblici. Da consigliare vivamente.

Hotel molto bello, moderno, pulitissimo, molto accogliente nonostante la modernità, personale gentilissimo (le valigie le portano LORO in camera), anche Italiano. Camere superior piccole ma dotate di TUTTI i confort (si possono scegliere diverse tipologie di cuscini e la colazione o cena in camera costano solo poche sterline in più del servizio al ristorante), moderne e decisamente di buon gusto. La vista dalle camere era stupenda (nonostante fossimo al 7° piano vista magnifica sul London Eye..immagino cosa si possa ammirare da qualche piano più in alto!) Immaginate il London Eye illuminato di sera con la neve..magnifico! Prenotando con Hotel.com avevo richiesto la vista panoramica e mi è stata data! Dobbiamo dire qualcosa anche della cucina, veramente ottima per essere a Londra!(gnocchetti al gorgonzola e noci, o maialino al miele, per citare due esempi) Idem per la colazione, varia, fresca..deliziosa! La posizione rispetto alla Metropolitana è comoda (Westmister e Waterloo le due stazioni più vicine), anche se non proprio sotto l'albergo, ma assolutamente accettabile! Segnaliamo anche un ristorantino Italiano (con la premessa che è la prima volta che mangiamo italiano in un viaggio all'estero!) nella piazzetta adiacente del County Hall, dove la pizza è veramente leggera e deliziosa!

"Efficace & veloce"
L'albergo è posizionato bene in un bel quartiere. La reception è molto veloce - check-in e check out fatto in 2 minuti. L'ambiente del ristorante era così così, ma il servizio era molto simpatico. Comunque assolutamente da racomandare.

Forse ti aspetti di più. Il lavandino non era proprio pulito, c'erano crostine e capelli di chi ci ha preceduto. La doccia si fa in vasca, ma la vasca è così stretta che la tendina di plastica che impedisce di bagnare fuori è troppo vicina e ti si appiccica al corpo. Il letto matrimoniale è appoggiato alla parete. Però è stato sufficiente protestare […] in reception per avere una camera migliore senza sovrapprezzo. La posizione è ottima. Nostro punto di riferimento per soggiorni a Londra. Alle spalle di Covent Garden, vicino a tutte le principali attrazioni, ottimamente collegato con stazioni e aeroporti. Fermata bus sotto l'albergo e diverse linee di metro nei paraggi. Personale eccellente e attento alla clientela, colazione di alto livello ed ampia scelta. Camere comode e spaziose. We stayed for one night in February. Reception was fast and welcoming, with clear directions to the room and offer of help with luggage. Room was small, as are most central London rooms, but there was plenty of storage space, and it was spotlessly clean. I was really pleased with this hotel where I stayed for a conference. The room was larger than expected (I have stayed previously and some have been small), clean, comfortable and well decorated in a simple, contemporary style. "Not comfortable for the price"
Good location - everything else is very basic. Room is very small. Food in restaurant was reheated from frozen as far as I could see. Expensive. Bar was very cold - the heating was broken according to the barmaid. All in all a very drab experience.

"Great breakfast!"
Our room was facing inward rather than on to the street so lovely and quiet. The window was a bit rickety when we opened it, most likely the reason for the scaffolding on the outside. Clean, comfortable, convenient. Small rooms but adequate for a few nights. I stay there frequently although it's important to book early to get the best rates and it's often sold out in the summer months.

We stayed in December, and it couldn't have been better. The location was amazing. That being said, I did note that the hotel is not air conditioned, so I wouldn't stay here in the summer months. If your trip is in the fall or winter, this is a great stay!

I found this place to be somewhat expensive for the accomadations and size of the room. It was however very clean and in a very nice location. Beds were not very comfortable, but it was only a two day visit, so it was tolerable. The inside of the Hotel was beautiful, We thought the rooms were going to be the same. They were just very tiny, but like […] I said, very clean and they had what we needed. The Mask bar was a very nice place to hang out. The club room we stayed in was well appointed and maintained. All staff were friendly and helpful. I would have preferred not to have been charged £2 per each item of luggage i wanted to leave in the hotels keeping while i had one last look round Covent Garden before catching my train home.

Stayed in a room for one. Clever use of space but no room to swing a cat. Luckily, I left the cat at home. Got the munchies at 3am in the morning and room service brought up the best club sandwich ever!

I love this hotel. Have stayed there the last 3 years. Great central location, the restaurants, bars are good and the hotel staff friendly and helpful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in London.

Although our first impressions were excellent - early check-in, good room, pleasant and clean -we were very unhappy later when a good night's sleep was impossible. The state of the single- glazed window frame let draughts into the room and did nothing to alleviate the noise of traffic. The frame was very loose with large gaps. Added to that, work started […] on the building across the road at around midnight to assemble a covered walkway on the pavement. This was to protect pedestrians from the next part of the work, to clean the exterior of the building, which started around 6 am. Whilst the hotel had no control about the work, the state of the windows IS their responsibility. Our sleep would have been far less disturbed if double or even triple glazing had been fitted. "FANTASTIC"
I stayed in this hotel for weekend away with my family and all I can say is it is top class. I plan to return before christmas.
The Strand Palace was, clean, busy and rarther big, but, clean friendly and idealy situated for Theatres, I was delighted bacause of the cheaper rate I paid. The Savoy is situated accross the Street, ideal for a pre Theatre cocktail !

"Clean but....."
I did enjoy my stay and it was incredibly spotlessly clean and to some degree comfortable, but it was tainted by the lack of suitable sound proofing and Air conditioning. I was kept awake one night by a snorer in a neighbouring room and a late night TV watcher on another night. A Fan was provided but it didnt make a difference. I had inner courtyard […] facing room which didnt really have any kind of view and the window boards would only let a small amount of light in. Probably would not choose again unless they had different rooms, but to be fair the staff were pleasant and as I said before the rooms were spotlessly clean . Continua a leggere

Great location in busy and safe area. Hotel staff impeccable for help and directions etc. As usual however, things such as internet access and movie rental are unnecessarily expensive. The room was also rather small, and most disturbingly noisy from people entering and leaving surrounding rooms

This hotel if an efficient functional hotel that does what it says on the tin. Great position, fast, polite and efficient staff. Never going to be the best or biggest rooms in the world but they are comfortable, value for money, the basics are all there and the hotel does a good breakfast.

The Strand Palace makes a great "home base" for visitors to London because of its central location. I have only one minor concern that causes me to give […] this visit a rating of 4 instead of 5: On this trip, the room I was in was right next to the maid's closet, and beginning at about 8:15, the door was frequently closed loudly as the maids gathered their supplies for the day's cleaning. I do not tend to sleep late, so this wasn't an issue for me, but it might be for someone else who gets in late from a show and wants to sleep a little later. I brought it to the manager's attention,and to his credit, the doors were closed a little more softly after that, but it still might disturb a light sleeper.
