I liked my stay. Room was comfy and reasonably priced, and there were places to eat and get gasoline nearby. Very conveniently located at exit 15 on I-64. I would stay there again :-)

It was fine. Nothing special just an average inexpensive hotel. There is a little bar and grill and a McDonald's right next to the hotel.

Very happy with our stay, it was our 3rd stay at this motel. The room is large and clean, its near family and shopping. We will stay there anytime we have to make this trip. Also they have a good continintal breakfast. We went up this time for a funeral.

It was the holiday so i paid for my family to stay in this hotel. The mother is disabled and never stayed in a motel before. The next room had a dog that barked all night because the people staying in the room next to them fought and shoved each other around and hitting the walls half the night. The mother that stayed there didnt know that the front […] office was open all night so she didnt call the front desk to complain and she has heard bad things about this town and was afraid for the safety of her children so she didnt know on the door and complain to the people and i wasnt there when they checked out and when they got to my house i call the motel and complained and the front desk lady Donna said well they never complained and i explained to her about them not knowing what to do and she stated she was sorry but they couldnt do anything about it and that the manager worked second shift she didnt take my name or number and said a manager would be calling me she acted like she didnt give a crap. so I would not reccommed this motel. Check In - Flawless My key was ready and booking from Hotels.com was all paid for the lady at the desk was very nice. This hotel is a little bit older and showed its age in respect to a bit of peeling wall paper but not a big deal. The room was clean and pretty good sized. Everything worked. Comfy chair and reasonable desk. Now one thing that might […] have been nice would have been a bit more convenient outlet for my lap top but that is totally minor. We stayed in the back part of the hotel and were not bothered by highway noise. There is a Microwave and fridge, little soaps all the good stuff! McDonalds right next door and a Golden Corral restaurant across the street that was WAY above average. Breakfast was what you would expect from an inexpensive hotel. Toast rolls cereal, juice and some pretty weak coffee. The room was clean and spacious at the Barboursville Days Inn, equipped with a coffee pot, fridge, and microwave. The hotel was dirty, smelled like smoke and poop and the staff was ridiculously unfriendly and rude. We walked up to the room and walked right back out and stayed at a hotel in Downtown Huntington.

It was like a bad movie from the 70's all over. The bed spread and blanket on both beds had cigarette holes in them. We booked the room for four people. There was enough towels for two people. No tub, it had a shower only. The shower curtain let the water run into the camod area then onto the carpet. On the second evening I tried to get extra towels […] from the front desk. They didn't have any so they sent me to house keeping. I had to wait for the nice lady to get some from the dryer. One of the wash rags looked like someone changed oil in the parking lot and used it to clean up the mess. The employees were all very nice and tried to be helpful. They can't fix a dump. We were HOPING that the ratings would be isolated incidences where disgruntled people chose to comment. Many times people only leave ratings if they are UNsatisfied with their stay and not if they are SATISFIED with their stay. WE WERE WRONG...We arrived at the hotel around 4pm, check-in was easy, lobby was clean. When we got to our room, our room had […] been occupied by someone. The beds were made, but laid on, the floor hadn't been vacuumed, the bathroom had been used and dirty towels were lying around. There was hair in the shower/bath and bacon (yes, bacon) was on a styrofoam plate in the microwave. Obviously, the room had not been cleaned. No problem - called to front desk to get another room. No room was available (which was a lie) and when they sent someone to clean the room, they came and asked what we wanted cleaned! They argued with us about the room being used, didn't want to change the sheets, we had to tell them EVERYTHING we wanted cleaned and they still only half-cleaned it! We did get some new sheets on the bed after insisting. They "couldn't" vacuum the floors because "everything was already locked up". NEVER will stay at a Days Inn again and will be complaining about this to corporate, since we weren't getting anywhere with management. Continua a leggere

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay, convenient for us to all we planned. It was very clean and large. I would recommend this to family and friends. The breakfast was ok. We really don't have anything to complain. The price was excellent for the nice stay.

We stayed 3 nights while in town for a reunion and visiting relatives. The location was easy to find, right at an interstate exit and convenient for accessing other destinations. Very affordable, free continental breakfast, everything was clean and comfortable. Pleasantly surprised at how spacious the room was. Room wasn't properly cleaned (even though we didn't get into the room until around 8 PM ... our choice - we went to a 3:30 PM ballgame). At least the sheets were clean. I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. Check in was a breeze and staff were more then willing to allow me to change rooms (couldn't stay on the 2nd floor as I had a bicycle with me). The door to my room looked like it was kicked in before. The AC was sufficient for the room size. Iron, Ironing board, hair drier and to my surprise an actual working alarm/clock […] radio. Found, what I hope was just, a food stain on the inside cover of the duvet. The hand rail on the tub/shower was loose. The ice machine nearest my room worked only intermittently. Noticed this guy hanging around a dumpster with the white fence enclosure on all 4 days which made me fear that my vehicle would get broken into. Can't reiterate that the staff are really helpful. The walk from the laundry room to the greet desk to get change was annoying but it was a nice day so it was o.k. Couldn't seem to make out going local calls, even though right on the phone it said local calls were free. WiFi speed was sufficient for my purposes, although lacking in security. Every time I came back, the linen I hung up to be reused (to save the environment don't ya know) was replaced with new folded linen and the TV was unplugged (I guess they needed a place to plug in the vacuum cleaner). The facility was just what we needed. Clean, compfy rooms with a sense of security. The kids loved the pool and having breakfast included was a great plus!! We will be back when we go back to the Barboursville/ Huntingon WV area!

Air Conditioner worked great in 100 degree weather. Rooms with refridgerator. Many enjoyed pool. 1st room was musty smelling as refridegator leaked on floor,-was wet with carpet, and the shower was broken. the 2nd room we moved into was cleaner and had less noticeable smells. out door pool was a bonus breakfast area was very tight with prepackaged food

Understaffed but the desk and housekeeping personel were friendly and efficient. Room was very clean but outdated and mattresses in our Double Bed room were very bad. Springs popping and just worn out. Bedding was well maintained though. TV hook up was with wrong cable and so our reception was poor and not all channels recieved. Expected better lighting […] and a better breakfast although it did have a good selection. However the fruit was bruised. Actually we decided to not use the breakfast bar the second morning. It was like staying at a slum motel carpet was dirty who knows what the stains where on the chairs bathroom was not cleaned soap scum in the shower burns in the carpet & TVs from the 90"s i will never stay at this place again

We just needed a bed and shower for a quick visit to West Virginia to see family. It was good for just a night's stay. There were some maintenance issues: ie, rust on toilet holder, a/c heat unit needed to be cleaned. But otherwise an ok stay.

The hotel staff was a bit "distant" the only thing that seemed out of place was that the rooms were accessible outside not from a hallway or inside. The room was clean and the water was hot and shower had good pressure. Overall we would absolutely stay again.

Although the room was clean and the front desk staff were friendly there were a couple of items I mentioned to them that need attention. The magnetic seal around the refrigerator looked like it hadn't been cleaned been touched in a long time. The same thing with the timer dial on the microwave. We were very graciously received at the front desk with good advice on where to park our car with camper attached. The room was indeed non-smoking and very nice. The hotel was within walking distance of several eateries, a joyful respite after having sat for so long driving. I booked a non smoking room and was given a smoking room. The room smelled hideous, both the bedspread and the blanket had cigarette burn holes. The windows did not open to let any of the stale cigarette smell escape. The front desk was unhelpful and very rude. Even though I showed them my confirmation for a non smoking room, they indicated there was […] nothing they could do as the hotel was full. I understand this is basically a motel and did not have high expectations, but it is not too much to ask for a clean room. I have stayed in the past in the Red Roof Inn right behind the Days Inn and their staff is always very helpful and courteous and the overall conditions of the rooms is much better (for the same price).
