Hotel Statler is very conveniently located if you want to visit Cornell University. It is also close to Ithaca downtown. "Ideal for visiting Cornell with a prospective stud"
Hotel was very nice and the front desk, bar and valet service all was wonderful. The restaurant wait staff was a little slow, but still very friendly and competent. Hotel shows little signs of wear here and there, but overall, extremely comfortable and we would definitely stay there again if they weren't always booked!
Stayed for 1night. Needed a little help with our luggage and it was obvious the bell man did not want to. So we wound up helping ourselves. So so on the recommendations for area food... Same three places... Ate at the dining hall. Waiter very friendly and tried hard to please. Foo not up to par...ex.. Steak done to a crisp when asked for medium, Pasta […] underdone..For a hotel that charges as much as it does , I expected a little better experience. "best place in ithaca"
the choices in thaca are basically the statler and others. reviews of others were horrendous, from filthy to bedbugs, so while we were only staying at the hotel for 9 hours, we sprung for the statler and weren't disappointed. arriving at 11pm the reception person was extremely cheerful and interested how our journey went. the room was cozy and warm […] upon entering and the bed linens and pillows were lovely and comfortable. the room was very up to date with an electronic window shade. beautiful cornell blanket on the bed. at breakfast they were a bit shortstaffed so it took a long time for the coffee but the waitress apologized for this and promptly offered to compensate me for my latte. again, they couldn't be more cheerful or accommodating. my husband got the buffet which he said was delicious. the views from the restaurant were gorgeous. it took awhile to get our car-we asked for it after breakfast but it still wasn't there by the time we packed up and came down. seems like there was a miscommunication or they couldn't locate it, or something. the staff really tries hard to do their best and they are very eager to please. we will be back to ithaca in august and will definitely stay at the statler again. The Statler was the perfect location for a campus tour and the service could not have been better. Everyone was sincerely trying to make the stay as positive as possible! I highly recommend the hotel for any visit to Cornell University.

The Statler is the place to stay if you're doing business on Cornell University's campus. It'll cost more than the generic hotels that are just off campus, but its also a much nicer place.

I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at the Statler. This hotel is equal to many five star resort hotels I have stayed at all over the world. The front desk is pleasant and helpful. The rooms are spotless and spacious. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We recently brought our daughter to Cornell for graduate school and found the Statler to once again be our "home away from home!" The welcoming valet, front desk staff, restaurant staff, housekeeping staff were all customer focused and personable. Breakfast buffet at Banfi's was wonderful and reasonably priced. My husband, son, and I had an excellent experience staying at the Cornell University Statler hotel, located right on the Cornell Campus. The staff, mostly Cornell students, was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was great except the tub did not drain and there was mold on the walls, not what I would expect for a hotel of this type.

The Statler Hotel provides a top notch experience. Staff attentiveness, cleanliness and room appointments are second to none, and the location at the heart of the Cornell campus is priceless.
The hotel is lovely and very comfortable. What the staff lacks in polish is more than compensated by their attentiveness, friendliness and enthusiasim.

What really makes this hotel special is the fact that most of the employees are students in Cornell's college of hotel administration. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful. Beyond that, the hotel room was quite luxurious in size, quality of the mattresses, pillows and large flat screen t.v.
