Ottima posizione, essendo circa 10 minuti a piedi lontano da downtown. Camera piuttosto confortevole, pulizia accettabile, personale alquanto gentile e disponibile. La colazione fin troppo spartana, ma accettabile. Tutto sommato, consiglio a tutti di scegliere questo hotel per il prezzo davvero basso rispetto agli standards degli hotel americani (very expensive!) e la qualità dei servizi e della camera che si sono dimostrati essere più che buoni.

è quasi una ragione per andare a S Antonio. villa stupenda, accoglienza familiare ottima.

"Old Hotel in need of upgrades and Cst Service"
I have stayed two different times at the Emily Morgan Hotel. This must recent stay I was quite dissappointed in the service and comfort of the room. If you plan to sleep in past 7 am good luck as loud cpnstant door locks and slamming will awaken you from your neighbors. There is no real way to quitely close your door here. I also got locked out of my […] room because the clerk only had the key good for 3 out of the 4 days I was there, this was on top a 9 minute wait for the evelavtor round trip. In addition house keeping failed to check my room and their second check of the room and I had to request it. You may want to ask about parking at this location in advance as it is a hidden fee. The Hotel need to install a water softener the water is to hard it is hard to lather in the shower, And they also need a place in the lobby to buy gum and candy bars or pop.
"Very NIce Hotel By the Alamo"
Nathan and Angel were wonderful. They gave us the best recommendations for dining.

This hotel is all about location and nothing else. The room is incredibly small and if you do not pay the "upgrade", you will definitely be facing the carparks and not the Alamo, even though the receptionist told us that we will be facing the city. We had a wonderful stay at the Emily Morgan Hotel. We shared our honeymoon here. We did experience some haunting. At about 3:30am the water began running in the bathroom. Stayed here for a conference, and found the business room to be adequate in comfort and size. Downsides: the bathroom was a bit cramped with no counter space (again, I was in the business room, the others were more spacious); the hot tub was colder than the pool which was disappointing; and it's really expensive to park there (however, there really […] were no other parking options). Upsides: staff was very helpful and attentive to needs; within walking distance of many great destinations...this fact alone made up for a lot; the fitness room was well equipped; the restaurant downstairs was AMAZING; every Thursday in the lobby they do complimentary palmistry and card reading, which was fun; and the hotel is haunted...ask the staff about this, most have stories. "Nice Hotel, Great Location.. but with hidden costs"
Beautiful Hotel. Great Location too... walking distance to the Riverwalk & Alamo. There are unexpected fees though. Either I didn't see it in the fine print, or it wasn't there, but they charged me $30/night for parking, and they even tried to charge me for internet access. I guess it's not included in a standard room rate, but fortunately the internet […] was part of my room deal from Hotels.com, so they couldn't force me to pay for it. hotel is a nice place to stay, but they over booked and all extra cots were being used in other over booked rooms, not a nice stay for 2 guys not wanting to stay in the same bed. they only comped us breakfast

The Emily Morgan Hotel has the friendliest staff from the General Manager to the valet. I almost checked out thinking I had to find a hotel in my expense range. The bartender David called Angel at the front desk and arranged an amazing rate! I stayed 4 more nights!! The location was perfect since I had to drive all over San Antonio for work everyday. The Emily Morgan Hotel is extremely well located in San Antonio. We were right across from the Alamo and just a couple blocks from the river section of San Antonio. Had a great time there and will ceretainly recommend it to anyone we know who is going to San Antonio

"Emily Morgan Hotel - has character"
This hotel has character, polite and attentive staff. My room was quiet, a bit worn but very clean. It looks like they have a nice pool and the lounge/restaurant was busy. It is right across from the Alamo, any closer you would be staying there. About a 7 minute walk to other downtown hotels. "Bad experience"
The hotel hot water did not work for half my stay this past weekend which is extremely difficult to deal with. The hotel staff did not offer apologies or discount of the room. I WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN!!! Stay away

We had a great room on the 6th floor, but could hear the tour guides at the Alamo (which was just below us). And the loud-speakers announcing the half marathon on Sunday morning at 7, and the cannon-shot announcing the beginning of the race at 8. "Two night stay."
Overall, our stay was pleasurable. Only two things that weren't up to par. First, when I booked on line the room, I asked for two double beds. When we wen"t up to our first room, it was a single bed. So I called down to the lobby and they corrected it right away. The only bad thing on the stay, was the cost of parking. Very high priced.

"The Emily Morgan in San Antonio"
Great place with a fun happy hour in the lobby. Old hotel with new rooms. Only problem was you have to pay for internet connections. Really? In 2012? Oh well, not a huge deal if I am in town on business again it may sway my desire to stay there....for pleasure I definitely will give them a thought.

"The Emily Morgan is being managed poorly."
This beautiful historic property deserves better! On arrival the concierge was handling baggage...unavailable to give directions or advice we needed. Our rental car sat at the front door for 3 1/2 hours. Check in was ok...not friendly but ok. They handed us a menu of a recommended restaurant since the concierge was hopping. The room 2 doors down from […] our King Suite was being painted and the smell was strong. We called twice for room service...they said that somebody would call back...they never did. After 90 minutes I walked three blocks to get bottled water and snacks. The girl at the front desk could not have cared less when I explained why I was asking for directions to a store. I tried logging on with my laptop and found no wifi (for a 4 star hotel, I thought it might be included), called front desk again...again they were rude..."it's $9.95, you want it or not!". When checking out, the couple in front of us was complaining...when we approached the employee said "it's gonna be a long day". I explained our complete dissatisfaction and she offered us a free breakfast. We declined as we just wanted to go where some acceptable level of service existed (I won't even mention the bad experience at the lobby bar). Management has under-staffed, under-trained and under-delivered on the service that should be expected at a 4 star hotel. I would give the service 1 star and the beautiful property 4. As I said when we were leaving...I don't usually complain...I just leave and dont return. This time I thought I should share so others might avoid the hassles we experienced. Continua a leggere
"Great hotel and great location"
The hotel and room was great. The only things I did not like was the towels were scratchy and no toilet paper in the bathroom. They did the neat nip tuck, but left two used rolls and no replacements.

The location is ideal. Across the street from the Alamo and 2 blocks to the Riverwalk. Historic building. Rooms need to be updated. The bathtub was dirty. The pool and hot tub were very cold vs. heated as advertised.

The EM is a quaint old hotel with lots of charm, but the staff at the front desk was very unprofessional. There was a major disconnect between the front desk and housekeeping. "Next door to the Alamo"
We had the king suite which was awesome each wall had large windows with great views and a jacuzzi tub with a view also. The room was great and location couldn't be better. It is literally on the other side of the Alamo fence, our room overlooked the Alamo. And there is access to the river walk right across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful. This Hotel is in a good location, right next to the Alamo, a block away from the river walk and the indoor mall. The hotel resteaurant can get pricey, but its a good thing that there are so many places to eat down on the river walk and the at the mall. It was cold, about 40 degrees and my wife and I were sick unfortunately. They stuck us in a room that […] was next to the elevator and ice machine, which was loud, and also the teenagers constantly going up and down the hall all night. we complained, so they put us in another room, so it worked out for the best. THE POWER WENT OUT the last night we were there and was out for 3 hours. the hotel doesnt even have emergency lighting in the hall ways so you can see where your going, which was very dangerous. Our brief stay at the Emily Morgan Hotel was generally satisfactory. Having said that, we had to ask for soap for the bathroom. The hotel restaurant was poor. My wife both returned our breakfast order as unedible (mine was a waffle and hers was pancakes). We have stayed at this hotel before and were not disappointed during this stay. The clerk and valet were very friendly and helpful at check in. Our room was ready and very clean and comfortable. Room service food was reasonably priced and tasty for room service and arrived well under the quoted arrival time. Clerk and valet at checkout were also very […] friendly. Had a great stay at the Yellow Rose. Right across the street from the Alamo, it's centrally located without being too loud/busy. Beautiful architecture, huge room on the 12th floor [get the 2 beds] and loved the heated outdoor pool open til 10pm. We had a great burger in the restaurant. Located a few streets away to riverwalk and convention center. […] I also enjoyed the foodie tour - available from a place 2 doors down. Close to tourist destinations and conference center. No complaints about this hotel really. The fitness center left a bit to be desired, but that is to be expected with most hotels anyway. Very cool building.

"Worst Service"
As soon as we checked in for our anniversary weekend getaway, we were given attitude by the front desk staff girl- sierra. She didn't say hello, or welcome, or anything- she just yelled "Last Name" without even looking up from the computer. This totally killed our celebratory mood. I don't think she looked up at all until my husband asked her for her […] name. She practically threw the keys at us. Such a rude person. Aside from this first encounter, the hotel was OK. Not a luxury hotel, though. We had to go up 2 floors just to get ice because there were no ice machines- just holes in the wall where the machines should be, and we had to go up 3 floors for a vending machine. The was a finished room service plate that sat in the middle of the hallway for the entire 3 days that we were there! The king suite was nice with the jacuzzi tub, and the bed was comfy. The area was also convenient just a block from the alamo and riverwalk. This wasn't the luxury hotel that was advertised, but we managed to have a good time- no thanks to Sierra! I would rather stay at the Westin again around the corner, only a little pricier but much much much better service and overall! Continua a leggere
