The hotel was fine - service was just OK. The room was clean and comfortable. Some Hiltons are better than others, but that is true with all hotels. The restaurant had very good food.

"Bogus charges"
This Hotel charged my credit card for many unknown reasons that they cant clarify......
"The Hotel Hiilton Lafayette"
The Hilton Lafayette is an amazing hotel. It is beautiful and sits on a local river. It has a pool with a beautiful deck area. They also advertise local establishments which gives you a variety of choices to eat from.
"Check In Time - 4PM"
I would have booked elsewhere had I known check in time was 4p.m. Just never had that happen before and didn't think to ask. Lighting was bad in the bathroom and the only other mirror in the room was in the dark entry-way. Had to use small hand-held mirror near the window to apply make-up. The room was large and the bed was comfortable.
Comfy beds, just wasn't impressed when I was checking in, the a man next to me also checking in plopped his 2 sodas and box of condems on the counter. Kind of grossed me out, the staff said he was a regular. Lovely...

"Amazing View - Comfortable Room"
Amazing water/lake? view from our room!! Friendly staff. Comfortable Room. Cozy beds. Roomy rooms. Only problem was our room didn't have any soap bars in the bathroom but the hotel staff quickly fixed the problem.

When we got there they only had a smoking king size bed. They were booked and all they could give us was a room with two double beds. I was very disappoint in this situation. I am an athlete and hate smoke. I thought both dropped the ball on this.
"Was not all that"
My trip started out with Hilton overbooking my room. To remedy this, they gave me a handicap room with no tub, only a shower with a chair in it. They only other option was to take a lesser room. No pay movies, basic cable with 1 HBO channel. Food from room service was okay, nothing special. It took almost a hour to get my dinner! "Dated but acceptable"
The hotel is in good condition, but dated. No room safes or fridge, but reasonably comfortably furnished.The bar and restaruant have limited hours and mediocre service. It is in Lafayette, so the food was very good.
I thought the hotel was still a nice place to stay as it was when it was established. The breakfast was opened too late for me sine I had to be somewhere before 7:30 am and the restaurant didn't open until well after 6:30 am. The room was very comfortable. I was hoping to use a hot tub for therapeutic reasons but only an outdoor pool was available.

"New Year's Eve Stay At The Hilton Lafayette"
We were travelling from memphis to Houston on New Year's eve and decided to stay in Lafayette. The hotel was nice. Check in was very quick and easy and the front desk staff were very helpful. They pointed out things on a map and wrote down the address of the restaurant that we wanted to go to so that I could give it to the cab driver. Bed was comfortable […] and room was nice and clean. Very reasonably priced also. The only concern I had was that the hotel was not close to the downtown core where the restaurants and clubs are but this was my own fault for not researching this well enough. Deswk clerk Justin assigned us to a 12th floor room. The view was stunning! Thank you for pointing out the terrific rate.
"Hilton on Pinhook in Lafayette"
The service was nice. However, housekeeping knocked on our door at 9:00 am in order to ask when the best time would be for room cleaning. You could tell by the decor that this was an older Hilton that needs to be renovated. I stayed at 2 star hotel in Lafayette before and preferred it much more. Although the room was clean, we were unable to control […] the temperature within the room. There were lots of functions and activity when we checked into our hotel on a Saturday. After talking to residents of Lafayette, I learned that this hotel is often used for functions such as receptions/dances/proms/balls. We could hear the noise from the inside of our room. "Hilton in Lafayette"
I was worried about staying at this hotel from some of the reviews that I had read. But I took a chance because of it's location. I got to the hotel at 10am and they had a room that I could go ahead and get into before check in time. All the employees that I met durring my stay were wonderful and very helpfull. In my room the bed was very comfortable […] and the pillows were the kind I like, you can snuggle into them. I had no problems getting my old lap top to connect to the internet service provided, which was a complaint that I read about. Over all my stay was very comfortable and relaxing. a little deceived to find out that the hotel did not really meet the 3 1/2 stars - probably 3 stars no more especially the bathroom too small to be a 4 stars hotel. Hotel was great for price but I didn't find it to be the best choice. The rooms need remodeling and the mattress was thin. The pillows and comforters were good. It is in a good location. We did have a room overlooking the bayou which was nice.

"quick getaway"
My husband and I live right outside of Lafayette and we both work in town as well, but just wanted a quiet little getaway weekend to ourselves [we stayed one night]. We usually end up going to New Orleans, but didn't want to make the drive. The Hilton is close to some really great restaurants, and a few minutes from the downtown area. "Lafayette must!"
Definitely recommend the executive level rooms, higher floor means a great view over the bayou and Lafayette. Also from 5pm to 9pm they serve h'orderves in the executive ballroom for free and executive rooms come with free breakfast. Overall, great stay!
I only stayed one night as I was passing through on my way to a wedding. Room was clean and comfortable. Would not hesatate to stay again.

This is a great hotel to stay when in Lafayette. Although there is no breakfast included, the comfort of the bed and bedding make up for it. "Hilton Hotel in Lafayette, LA near Cajun Dome"
The hotel was nice. The rooms were comfortable and spacious; however, our non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. The towels smelled horrible as well. The comforters had stains, perhaps from cigarettes. There was one doorman in particular, Michael, who was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Michael!

This hotel was wonderful! Clean, quiet rooms, friendly staff and beautifully appointed. The only drawback is Pinhook is a very busy street and entrance and exit can be challenging. All in all, 5 stars!!!!!
"Great location; Terrible Bell Hops and Beds"
My back is *killing* me! My husband and I slept on this bed, made of marshmallows I think, and pillows stacked four and five high but the thickness of a notebook. Our toilet didn't work right and the bellhops...oh my goodness. I've never seen staff be so incredibly useless in my life. When you drive up to the port, don't be surprised if these guys don't […] help with your baggage. They're too busy with their own conversations and opening doors that don't actually always help you get into the hotel. The place *looks* nice but the walls are paper thin so don't think you're actually getting any privacy from the neighbors. The two up sides to this hotel were a nice view of the pool and river, and the convenience to all of the best of Lafayette. My recommendation is to stay at either the Courtyard, Hilton Gardens, or a B&B like T'Frere's. Plus, I can actually get a better rate through nearly all of the hotels I go to most of the time(nice ones, too). My advice, wing it for a room on the day you arrive if you know that you can get a room and never take the first price they offer. Continua a leggere
"comfy and clean with very good service"
this is probably one of the only hotels in Lafayette that has a full service bar and restaurant. the rooms were clean and spacious and the morning room service breakfast arrived as ordered and very tasty. a very lovely overall experience!
"Hilton - very clean - great hospitality"
We visited Lafayette for a USSSA baseball tournament. Most of our team stayed at the Hilton. We enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean and the staff was very nice. We were welcomed into the hotel by hotel staff holding open the door to the lobby. There was a Hibache restaurant and an Outback Steakhouse nearby. We will definately come back .

"Lafayette HILTON"
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant. The ONLY complaint I have was the loud opening/closing of doors starting at 5:30 am...the room doors are heavy and quite noisy. Otherwise, exceeded my expectations.
