Very nice hotel in beautiful surroundings. Very nice room, very clean and very nice furnishings. Staff was great. Only complaint is - we ate dinner one night at the hotel restaurant and the food preparation took forever and the portions very small. The waiter, however, was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel. Close to White Plains area. Undergoing renovations presently but no inconvenience. Wonderful family spot with indoor pool!

The rooms were beautiful and well kept. We arrived in NY very early and they accomodated us with an early check in. Staying here was a wonderful hotel experience!!

The hotel is undergoing renovations, but the staff was very helpful navigating around the renovations. Hotel room was clean, very comfortable and quiet. I would recommend this hotel.

While this hotel has been fine in the past and probably will be better in the future, it is in the midst of a massive construction project which is noisy, smelly and disruptive. Rates should be cut and proper disclosures given when reservations are made (they were not for us).

I value the waking up experience as a way to judge a hotel; so I say, wouldn't a little more effort with the free coffee and some danishes be warrented? And no, invisible danishes don't count; and no; I wasn't drawn to have a full breakfast in the resturant. Help me out here.

What a joke of a hotel. Don't stay here under any circumstances. Rude staff, smelly rooms, couldn't have been worse.

Much trouble with door lock-had to call for help several times, otherwise the hotel was good. However, I was greatly disappointed to be advised after returning home that my Hilton Honors points would not be granted because I had made my booking through Hotels.Com

Found the hotel overpriced; access to the internet should be part of the room rate and not an a la carte extra charge; much prefer the overall comfort of a Hampton Inn.... Couldn't sleep because of the type of cheap air conditioning system installed in this hotel complex; the thermostat would kick in regularly and quite honestly the room temperature […] was very uneven either too cold or too warm and very drafty; furthermore, the noise level from other guests returning at all hours of the night was unbelievable. The noise level from the other guests in the hallway seemed as though the other guests were parading through our room all night long... Left early in AM to avoid paying steep prices for a breakfast that should have been included as part of the basic room rate and not as an additional charge. The hotel was packed due to all the crew men working on Connecticut and NY power lines from the storm they had in October. So, I had difficulty finding a parking space each night since most of the lot was used for bucket trucks from various companies. Some of the men were smoking outside the not the hotel's fault, but they could have told them to go […] elsewhere. so, this was a rare event. However, the first time I asked for extra cream for my coffee I waited 45 minutes -- called again -- still waited another 1/2 hour. Next day, same thing -- about an hour. Then, I was there during the time of daylight savings - turn clocks back. Well, the clocks in the room are locked on the time. It takes a maintenance man to change the time. (Don't even ask why - stupid, for sure). Anyway, I had a 7am flight and didn't want to miss it -- I asked the front desk two days before to change my clock. She said she couldn't guarantee they'd get to all of them over the weekend. I asked again. She said she send someone. Well, never showed up. Asked the maid the next day - she couldn't do it. By Sunday the maid got someone for me. There was also a wedding and a public employees convention of some sort going on. So, they were very busy but I don't find that a good enough reason to just blow off my requests or not get to them. The room was nice, clean, nice amenities, etc. I just got there on the wrong week. And, the indoor pool is very nice. Wireless is in the lobby only, unsecured..otherwise it's a fee in your room. I would still recommend someone to stay there. Continua a leggere

I was travelling as a single woman and they put me in a room on the first floor, right next to an exit door that didn't lock and the exterior door opened easily when I tried to enter. Also, room service did not answer - four tries and I let it ring and ring. I called the front desk to see what was going on and got the answering machine - all this at […] 5:30 in the evening! I can honestly say that this was THE best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Our stay was just ok. Several other guests in two separate rooms across from us were very disruptive, talking very loudly in the hallways (at midnight) and slamming their doors. Our TV remote did not work. The coffee maker in the room did not come with coffee. Somewhat lengthy wait to check in and out, worse in than out -- man in front of us was engaging […] the check-in person in a conversation about his dog, slowing down the process. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Lobby and general hotel environment is quite nice. Recommended with reservations (so to speak). Continua a leggere

When I made the reservation I was told there was shuttle service to Manhattan which I found not to be true. There was not even shuttle service to the train station. I was also told there was an indoor pool but not that it was under renovation. Upon arrival there were two men standing at the curb who were not friendly in any way and there was confusion […] in my mind as to who they were and what they were standing there for. Better communication on their part would make guest feel more welcome. The type of communication I would have liked to here is Hello, are you here to check in? If so do you need help with your luggage? If not we have carts available for you. Instead I heard bring back the cart when you finish. Not a very nice way to greet guests. If you want your cart back in the lobby simply put a visible sign on the cart saying PLEASE RETURN TO LOBBY. Once we got inside to check in the process was quick and pleasant. I was very satisfied with the rest of the stay and the room was great. I did find your restaurant a little pricey so I opted not to eat there. The only other thing I would like to mention is I went to the front desk to ask for directions to the train station and the lady was nice enough to give me printed directions. However once I was in my car and went to the light the directions said go east instead of take a left or right. How is someone supposed to know if east is left or right especially if your from out of town? I took a right but about 2 miles later figured that I should have taken a left. Continua a leggere

Polite Staff assured me that early check-in was available for 3 rooms booked thru H.com (3 PM is normal check-in time). In fact, I was told while on my way there that the rooms were ready at 1200 noon. Didn't happen. I was assured the cleaning staff was working vigorously to get them ready, in the end I was not in the room till after 3PM. I was then […] double billed for the rooms (having already paid thru Hotels.com) requiring several calls to them, my banks and H.Com in the days following. Really?, c'mon it's 2011. Worst hotel experience of my life. Wedding parties running up and down the halls at 3am. I was there for business so I didn't appreciate it. My video camera ended up missing from the room also. These people give New York a bad rap.

We booked five nights in mid-August. Weather was unexpectedly bad : grey / rain.... Last 2 days of our stay, inside pool and jacuzzi were closed for maintenance, inviting guests to use outside pool... in the rain....!.

Weekends tend to have noisy crowds--reunions, weddings, etc--a party in the courtyard till 4 a.m. was disruptive--but otherwise there's a lot to like about the place. The ventilation in rooms always leaves a lot to be desired, though--it's always clammy & humid, though the A/C is on fully (in summer, of course). Hotel was generally clean. The tv in room was big and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was overpriced and a little subpar. I've never had a diner let alone a Hilton serve the end of a loaf of bread as a piece of toast. beautiful hotel and beautiful grounds. but would not recomend . had a camera taken from our room. was there when we went to breakfast ,was gone when we returned.

Front desk staff were friendly, polite and made you feel welcome. Outdoor pool was great. Would come again.

I stayed here during a business trip and their grounds are beautiful. Great place to stay: clean, friendly, and great food at the restaturant too!

The hotel's lobby and hallways are nice, and the rooms are beautifully renovated. But the outdoor pool is disapointing - the lounge chairs overlook an old pool that had a lot of bugs floating in it. At the least, it needs to be cleaned more often! That being said, we would still go back, but hope it was cleaner next time.

Was disappointed there was no free wi-fi in the room, no printer for printing boarding pass (but they did it at the front desk for me), no shuttle or cheap way to get to the airport and that my non-smoking room smelled of smoke. We stayed at the Rye Hilton last weekend and loved the hotel, the setting, the staff. The hotel is huge, so a little understanding of geometry essential!! The desk staff were congenial, multi-lingual, smart and accommodating. They upgraded our room to one with the most spectacular view of the park and the footbridge. Room was gorgeous. Bed so comfortable. […] It was a pleasure to wake up in such a place. The food in the bar was terrible, though, with a preponderance of salt and oil --- and ridiculously expensive. Staff very nice and service great! Though we'd surely stay at this hotel again, we'd be sure to bring a bottle of wine and some good food along with us! We were part of a large assembly of people nationally and internationally. The hotel handled the various functions and accommodations with professionalism and aplomb we have come to expect of the Hiltons.

I had a nice stay here. My room was very comfortable and quiet; I heard no noise at night. I drove by it at first as it's set back off the road and the signs are obscured by some trees. Check-in and out were efficient. I recommend this hotel if you're in the area.

We originally picked this hotel because it was pet-friendly. It's not really pet-friendly, they just accept pets. It's a $50 non-refundable fee to bring your pet which has to be under 75 lbs. They make you sign a waiver that says you won't leave your pet unattended in your room, among other things you have to sign off on. And if you have a pet you're […] limited to staying on the 1st floor of the hotel. So not necessarily pet-friendly, as I've stayed in real pet-friendly hotels before, but they do accept your pet for a fee. The hotel itself was a lot larger than I expected, it was like a compound which is why I can understand some maintenance or cleaning issues would be overlooked. But the room itself was clean. The only other issue we had was the thermostat- it didn't get any cooler than 65 degrees, and it was a very humid day in NY when we stayed. We were just glad we hadn't stayed there in the summer, it could've been a lot worse. The hotel is beautiful and situated on acres of wooded property. It is quiet, well run and the staff was exceptiopnal. One of the best stays we ever had at a hotel. They are dog friendly which made a big difference in our choice. Everyone loved our dog Adeline. We will always stay there

Hotel rooms were very clean and updated, but the hotel itself is old and not as updated. For the value though it was worth the stay.

The room was clean, the staff super friendly and helpfull, vast parking lot and valet service. No wi-fi in hotel room a big con. Dingy motels have free internet these days.

Pros: Nice park like setting. Inviting indoor pool. Comfy bed. Cons: Costly internet access (poorly balanced by free HBO few care about nowadays; over pricey food; thin separation between rooms means you can hear your neighbors' conversation and sundry, ahem, noises at all hours (can't think what it's like on weekends when the place gets packed with […] wedding revelers: horrid); cheap feeling Raymour & Flan. all over decor; lobby on second floor poorly indicated; costly breakfast. This Hotel is a great stay during the day. Trying to sleep at night is another matter. There was a wedding party the weekend we stayed. When the reception was over, we were awakened several times during the wee hours of the morning by partying revelers shouting and dancing through the halls with no regard for anyone else around them. There were no staff […] around to guide these folks in an orderly fashion back to their rooms, or whatever. That is my only criticism of this otherwise fine hotel. Thanks. Continua a leggere

This is a very nice, first class hotel. I found it a little sad that the room refrigerator was completely empty. A few bottles of water for the use of guests (either at room temperature, or refrigerated) would have been welcomed.

The only problem I found was the cost per day for internet access. Paying this much for a hotel, I feel WiFi should be included.

Booked into the Hilton on business travel. I booked a King but was giving a double-double. The woman in front of me seemed to be having the same problem and the hotel clerks didn't seem too eager to upgrade her (without add'l charge) when her ordered room was not available. My clerk didn't seem to mind when she said "double" and I said "I ordered a […] king" ... I was given the double but didn't care enough to complain about it. This place was like a 1970's conference fortress a la some compound in the catskills. weird place. Not a standard hilton experience at all. TV channels weren't all working, internet bonked out very badly. Room service was decent, but doubt I'd stay here again with other options in the area. Overall, I was happy to be getting on my way but didn't feel the experience was horrible. Just very average. Not a standard Hilton experience. Continua a leggere

Everything was fine except the maid service. Throw pillows were left on the floor and not put on the beds after being made. Coffee cups, coffee, glasses, were not replenished each day. (had to ask three times for coffee cups, the front desk didn't even respond until I said it was the third request.) Ice bucket left each day with water in it.
