Ci tornerei sicuramente!

The Waldorf Astoria's restaurants and lounges enjoy a storied past--both as prestigious New York social destinations and as the rumored birthplaces of the Rob Roy cocktail and the brunch mainstay Eggs Benedict. Savor a steak in the Bull and Bear Steakhouse, or sample Peacock Alley's famed Sunday brunch. The first hotel in the world to offer room service, the Waldorf provides it around the clock.
Bull and Bear Steakhouse - This quintessential New York steakhouse features Prime Angus steaks and fresh seafood. The legendary mahogany bar is the rumored birthplace of the Rob Roy cocktail. Movers and shakers reserve the wine library for private dining and strategic gatherings. Open for dinner.
Peacock Alley - The place to see and be seen, this lobby restaurant is known for its sumptuous Sunday brunch. A separate lounge features a 30-foot bar, and a private dining salon can be reserved for special events. Serving breakfast, lunch, and small plates for dinner.
Oscar's Brasserie - This casual brasserie is named after the Waldorf's famed maitre d' Oscar Tschirky, credited with inventing the Waldorf salad. Offerings also include the (reportedly) Waldorf-invented Eggs Benedict. Open for daily breakfast and weekend lunch.
Sir Harry's - This clubby Manhattan mainstay is located just off the lobby. Sip a Rob Roy or Waldorf Sunset at the elegant bar, or join friends around one of the lounge's checkerboard tables. Open from early afternoon until late night.
Room service - Available 24 hours a day.
If you have energy left after shopping and touring New York, the Waldorf Astoria's 2,500-square-foot fitness facility is open 24 hours. There is a surcharge for registered guests.

"Hotel dove soggiornare almeno una volta nella vita"
Hotel in posizione ottima, essendo antico, è necessario "capitare" in una buona camera, comunque si sente di rivivere la storia, le parti comuni sono grandiose, manca una piscina come negli hotels moderni e la piccola palestra è a pagamento.
"Waldorf Astoria - Lusso accessibile a tutti"
Continua a leggere

"Waldorf- the best there is!!!!"
Amazing hotel, quality staff and superb location. It made out stay on New York that bit better...
"Good location however very outdated Hotel"
The Waldorf Hotel was in a good location (right in the middle of Manhattan) to walk to local tourist sights and to get from one end of the island to the other. I liked that it was not on too busy of a part of Park Avenue and the rooms were quiet at night time. However, the Hotel itself was very outdated- our room had wall paper peeling from the walls, […] the plumbing in the bathrooms must have been at least 15 years old and the furnishing were worn and super dated. I was disappointed by the overall decor and upkeep of the Hotel. Our shower also had standing water from the bathtub (which was clogged) drain and we asked for it to have some Drain-o put in it but it did not ever happen so we had to shower in backed-up standing water. "just adequate"
I've stayed here many times and have always enjoyed my stay until my last visit. The room had a terrible smell which I got used to after a while. The shower had no pressure and or no hot water. Housekeeping never stocked my room with shanpoo, conditioner, or soap. Only body lotion. I called down and they never came up with it so I just forgot about […] it because I was tired and didn't feel like dealing with anything. Next morning I had a meeting and was in a rush so I had called 30 min ahead for my car. Got down there and my car wasn't there. After 1 hour I was finally on my way. The Waldorf is beautiful and historical. I've always loved this place but I don't recommend staying for an overnight trip when you have business the next day. Continua a leggere
"The Waldorf Astoria"
We loved our visit to NYC and booked this hotel for a great deal on Hotels.com. It was easy walking distance to lots of fun things and the metro station was also nearby. We didn't spend much time in our room but it was nice. Some construction was going on and we heard quite a bit of construction noise which sounded like being inside a leaky faucet one […] day but otherwise was a wonderful experience. Continua a leggere
We were so very disappointed in the hotel. The room needed renovation. There was no coffee maker in the room. The TV choices were very limited, so one almost had to order a movie or tv show if one wanted to watch tv. Room service was so outrageously expensive -- and I have stayed in some of the most beautiful hotels in the world, so I have a basis for […] comparison -- that we did not order room service. The restaurant called Oscars in the hotel served an inferior brunch buffet and charged a fortune for it. All of the other restaurants were overpriced as well. Yes, it is great to see the wonderful lobby, but unless the Waldorf shapes up, it remains a run-down, overpriced tourist trap. If you want to see the lobby, stay elsewhere and go walk around the lobby for 15 minutes. This was an enormous let-down, and I will nether recommend the Waldorf, nor stay there again. A real deterioration of a once great property. Continua a leggere
"Great Location, New York Icon"
Ihave stayed a this hotel many times. It is in a great location and has a beautiful lobby. But the main reason I pick the Waldorf, is that it is often availale at a bargain price. I prefer a smaller, less busy hotel and the rooms at the Warldorf are hit or miss. Some are small

"Perfect stay at the Waldorf"
This was the largest NYC hotel room I have ever stayed in! Lovely room, caring staff...perfect stay in such a historic hotel in New York.

"The Glory Days have Passed"
Where to start... First, they ignored my room preferences and when I called the desk, they said that they were not guaranteed. Once in the room, we discovered the following: Feces (poop) stains on the wallpaper in the bathroom Peeling wallpaper throughout the room Pitted, rusted bathroom hardware Furniture that had not been cleaned since it was put […] in. No soundproofing, so if you are in New York and want to hear everything happening on the street, this is the place for you. You would do better to sleep in your car and use a port-a-potty at a construction site. Continua a leggere
Outdated rooms, old smell, hotel in needs of remodeling big time!!!!!!!
"Waldorf NYC"
I asked for a room with a view and got a lovely, airy corner room with big windows on two walls. Great location, plenty of space at a very reasonable rate for a NYC hotel with lots of history.
"Great Location - Attention to Detail Lacking"
I have stayed at this Hotel many times. All times heretofore, it has been great. Attention to detail this time was over all poor. Every day there was some minor issue that should not have happened...i.e. room not clean, food quality issues and service poor. I hope this was just a slip up because I love staying at the Waldorf but with the winter rates […] what they are all over the city, service was severely lacking this time. Hope it was only a glitch. "do not go to this hotel until 6 months"

"Waldorf Astoria in New York"
This hotel is more than nice everyone is very helpful. Our room was too hot (in January) and maintance came right away and took care of it. My only complaint is that Hotels.com should make aware the amount to park your car, because it isn't included in the price of the hotel and it's a significant amount $50 a day.
"great hotel and staff for the money"
Great stay, convenient to the theatre and restaurants. Very helpful and pleasant staff.

"Waldorf-Astoria - an amazing hotel"
We were upgraded to the Towers, and our King Suite Deluxe was an incredible place, like the fanciest luxury apartment.
"Waldorf=Astoria, NYC"
Had a great few days at Waldorf. Everything was pretty tip top. Staff were excellent.
"Waldorf Astoria"
The room was ok. Perfectly adequate, but on the small side. I felt that this hotel was very safe--so really good for female guests. The staff were all lovely & extremely helpful. Room rate was reasonable. Very expensive breakfast!
"Incredible Experience"
Such a beautiful hotel. Everyone should stay at this historical elegant hotel. It is beautiful inside and out, service is incredible and you can find reasonably priced deals if you look. I can now say I've stayed at the Waldorf Astoria. Bucket list, check! And Well worth it! I travel to NY several times a year for vacation trips for great restaurants […] and Broadway shows. I've stayed in many hotesl in many parts of Manhattan. The only drawback is that it is not as convenient as staying near Times Square for shows, but that is a stretch to complain about anything. "First Class All the Way"
This is a first class hotel. The front desk staff allowed us to check in early and credited my bill after a bad experience at a hotel restaurant. Extremely professional staff. I recommend this hotel to everyone!

"The Waldorf Astoria - HUGE Disappointment"
We just returned from a long weekend in NY to shop. On previous trips to NYC we have stayed at the Ritz and The Palace so we decided to try the Waldorf. To say we were disappointed is a gross understatement. We booked a King Suite which did not look anything like it was represented on the website. In the pictures, the bedroom appears to be its own room […] with the sitting area separated by french doors. In fact, it is just one room with a king size bed and a couch/chair. The ceiling in our room had severe water damage and look just disgusting, The paint had bubbled off and the entire length of ceiling by the window was stained and filthy. Upon checking in, our very friendly rep told us to use the reference guide in our room to find additional information about the hotel. It is very clear that the "reference guide" has not been updated in quite sometime.... 1. It very clearly stated that room service was available for breakfast/lunch/dinner. After a long day shopping, we returned to the hotel and put our pjs on with the intent on ordering room servce. Imagine our suprise when we were told room service was only available for breakfast. 2. The book clearly stated that the bar off the lobby offered small plate dining options. So, we got dressed again and headed to the lobby only to be told, "Nope, we don't do that anymore." 3. The book clearly stated that Oscars (a restaurant located in the hotel) offered both a breakfast buffet and an a la carte option. We sat down for breakfast and I asked the waiter for a menu. He looked puzzled and said the only option was the buffet. For goodness sakes Waldorf, you charge enough for rooms. The least you could do is spend some money updating the information your provide for your customers. We wil NEVER EVER stay there again. What a disappointment. Continua a leggere

Only issue was a non- functioning shower which was fixed as soon as we called housekeeping.
"Waldorf Hotel-nice ambience, spacious rooms"
Great to stay in a hotel in Manhattan that is so spacious. Our closet was a huge walk-in. This being my second stay in less than a year, they do have a problem with their toilets being so old....at least 10-15 years....that you have to flush twice.
"Waldorf Astoria = Excellent!"
The Waldorf Astoria is THE place to be in New York! Top service! Bull and Bear is a delightful restaurant!
"Amazing"
Wonderful hotel, my wife & I loved it! We are in NY later in the year & will do it again. Room one of the best I have ever stayed, food also good did the Sunday brunch still dreaming of it. To put it bluntly U must stay here for the experience.

"Best time ever...."
The Waldorf Astoria was everything I ever thought it would be and more. Our room was beautiful and the location of the hotel to sights we wanted to see was perfect. It will be difficult to top this experience for me and my family. The staff was also amazing and kind. Thank you for the great experience!
"The Waldorf Astoria NY's Icon"
The Waldorf continues to be the number one in reputation, location and best service. Even if it does need some restauration, the employees continue to treat guests like VIPs. I stay a few days with my children and it was a real experience. We have stayed in others 5 stars hotels in NY for many years but the Waldorf is part of NY's history and everyone […] should stay there to feel what NYCity is all about. It is a grand old dame that continues to be beautiful and lively. And it makes you feel at home even if it is the first time you stay there. If one loves NY one have to love the Waldorf Astoria!!! "Waldorf Astoria - Book the Sunday breakfast buffet"
Well what can i say! It didnt disappoint. its well worth the treat of the extra money. Treated really well when we arrived and even upgraded to a larger room which was lovely. Its a stunning hotel and we had a great time. Well worth the extra money from a standard New York Hotel. One thing we did miss out on and didn't know anything about was the sunday […] breakfast buffet. it looked awesome when we arrived downstairs so decided we had to stay for breakfast. Unfortunately it was fully booked so had to walk past the food and out the front door to starbucks instead :o(. Such a shame we didnt know about it, hence why i feel i must let someone else know so they can enjoy what looked like the best breakfast ever....and us English love our breakfast. free wifi in the lobby but not in the rooms which was a shame. thats extra money, but we are on holiday so shouldnt be needing wifi in the rooms. ignore any bad reviews, the hotel is amazing and you get treated that way. no matter where you are someone is bound to rub you up the wrong way eventually but take it as a one of bad experience dont write a bad review about somewhere great. starbucks in the lobby....awesome!! Enjoy your stay people :o) Continua a leggere
