Offre più di quel che credevo, anche se il parcheggio e la navetta per l'aeroporto sono i punti deboli. Ma se si è a piedi è perfetto. Alla reception Anisa è molto helpful e in generale sono molto disponibili

Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 9 gen 2013Sito nella zona di LaJolla,che andrebbe visitata,questo Hotel dispone di camere grandi e ben pulite.Nel complesso non potrei lamentarmi se non della rumorosita delle camera che con finestre oramai datate (dispongono di un solo vetro) mi hanno privato di un sonno tranquillo(la finestra dava sul parcheggio).Concludendo,non mi sentirei affatto di sconsigliare questo Hotel.Probabilmente ci tornerei.

Un grazie speciale a Zania, Diego e Lorena. E' stato davvero un bel soggiorno per tutta la mia famiglia, compresa la mia piccola di 2 anni che non voleva andare via. E' ottimo per famiglie.

Beautiful hotel. Impeccable personalized service. Fabulous food and drinks at Grant's Grill. Walking distance to nightlife. During our stay there was construction across the street restoring some kind of fountain park, looking forward to seeing the finished product on my next visit. Spa services were nice as well. "perfect hotel!"
This hotel was perfect. Hotel staff was super friendly and more then acommadating. Hotel was very clean only thing I would change is they should put new carpet. Beds were very comfortable! Stayed with my wife and 4 yr old son. The people are unbelievably nice. Always asking how we were doing, do we need anything, follow up on requests. My son loved all the attention. The staff here is excellent - the room had its issues - but I think many people staying in SD hotels have the same complaint, they can be loud when you're trying to sleep. "Long Weekend Away"
We enjoyed this hotel and its convenient location. Room was luxurious and very nice. It is on the trolley and bus routes for going to all of the popular places. We could walk to the pier and the restaurants there. Nice walk to the Midway Carrier and ferry to Coronado Island. My wife and I stay at only two hotels in San Diego and this is one of the two. The U.S. Grant is an old iconic hotel which is right in the middle of where you want to be in San Diego. It is always clean and the staff is very friendly making sure you are taken care of. Though this hotel is very pricey, being so close to everything makes up for it since […] we didn't rent a car and we either walked or took public transit, which is very efficient in SD. "Lovely historic hotel"
We stayed overnight to catch a nearby concert. Fabulous location; very easy to get to using public transportation. The hotel is beautifully restored with elegant rooms. Very luxurious and comfy beds, nice amenities. Some of the woodwork/mouldings in our room were grimy. Only real complaint was the demolition noise across the street that started at 7 […] a.m.; it sounded like WWI in our room. Would stay again in a heartbeat once construction is done, though! It was a great location, but the carpet in halllways and rooms was EXTREMELY stained and dirty. There was a smell of urine on the floor I stayed on. I was very disappointed with the lack of help when I checked in. We asked to stay in joining room and wait about 4 hours for this to happen and they still didn't make this happen. No one offered to help […] with our bags when we checked in. The air conditioner in my room didn't work very well it was always hot in my room. Gorgeous hotel, friendly staff, comfortable room, delicious food. Only negative was due to the noise of downtown, made sleeping difficult as I am a light sleeper and it is quite noisy. We were on 5th floor. A higher floor may be better next time.Recensioni obiettive degli ospiti Expedia

Great classy hotel, decor and ambiance is beautiful, location is perfect, staff was great, reception/lobby is grand. However, our room is a bit noisy from the construction, traffic, and probably lack of proper insulation since we can hear people's voices from the hallway. "Beautifully kept hotel with central location"
Had to make a last minute reservation on the way from the airport. Got to front desk unable to finish online. Check in made me finish instead of giving me the rate. I showed to her and said are you going to make me go thru and finish this? She said yes. What's up with that? In my experience other Hotels have been happy to honor and prefer being called […] directly at a very good rate. Anyway, other than that the staff are very helpful, it's a beautiful, well kept hotel. Lovely Bar and lounge, with great live music It's in a very central location, about 2 blocks from 5th Ave, where there are tons of bars, restaurants and shopping. "Excellent service but hotel needs work"
The service at the hotel was excellent: friendly, helpful, and professional. However, we did have some difficulty reaching anyone from our room in order to get a non-feather pillow sent up to us. For over an hour there was no answer at housekeeping or the front desk when we called from the room and we finally had to get dressed again and go downstairs […] to the lobby to find someone. This was only at 8:30 in the evening, not the middle of the night. Unfortunately, our room was in need of repair. There was a large amount of black mold growing around the window frame in the bathroom, paint was peeling on the walls and ceiling in the bathroom, the windows had huge gaps in them letting in torrents of outside air which meant that the room heater had to run all night to keep the temp warm and it was quite loud, and the curtains had a tear and had fallen off the curtain rings several places (not a big deal but didn't give the impression of a well kept-up luxury room). The location is very convenient but there is a very run-down hotel opposite and we had a view of half-naked guys hanging out of rooms with broken and dirty windows. There was a lot of street noise from people out at the local bars as well. The lobby is beautiful and the bar is nice. Overall an OK experience. Not sure if we'd stay again. The US Grant is a historic property full of grandeur & luxury. The hotel accommodations are completely up to date with all modern day conveniences. It has the beauty and charm of a turn of the 20th century luxury hotel that has been immaculately maintained. The staff is very helpful & friendly. The room (superior room) was very comfortable with plenty […] of room for the two of us. The hotel is located across from the Horton Plaza in the Gaslamp District of San Diego. Shopping and dining choices abound. There is also a trolley stop (orange line) on the corner behind the hotel. We had a wonderful time staying here for a week and highly recommend the hotel.
