Travelodge Alamo - Riverwalk San Antonio

did not get any housekeeping while there over the weekend. towels are very dingy.

Hotel met our needs. The air conditioner was poor and I had to listen to a couple fight in the room either above or below us most of the night.

This is probably the worst hotel I have stayed in. It was dirty, unkept and I would never stay there again.

Would not stay there again. The cleanliness...well, let's just say needs improvement. The towels are rough and looked dingy. I booked 2 rooms, one for myself and one for my daughter and her friend. The sheets in my daughter's room had stains that I hope were detergent that didn't wash properly. We stayed two nights and didn't get any housekeeping in […] either room. Very Happy with the stay, very very close to everything, but had to pay extra for the use of in room safe :-(

The location can't be beat! Just a 10 minutes walk to the Alamo and the Riverwalk!! The hotel is a little older, the room smelled and looked old, but it was cleaned and had all the comfort I needed, for a great price! i booked this hotel with low expectations because of the price...but still...this hotel is pretty run down, even with low expectations. the bed sheets were dirty, the bath towels were dirty, the bathroom dirty (and had some small flying bugs)...the walls were water stained, it smelled...i would spend a few extra bucks and try another hotel.

The hotel is decent for the price, and it's in a great location. Walks home from the Riverwalk can be kind of scary, though. The sink was broke when I got there, and the counter was dirty in the bathroom. They fixed it, though. The Internet is not the best. Overall, I'm glad I saved money.

When we arrived it was difficult to even get towels for our room. When we recieved towels I was not sure if they were even clean! There was birb poop all over the stairway. The room itself was clean but for the money i will never stay there again. This room met our needs--inexpensive, within walking distance of the River walk and Alamo if you don't mind walking a few blocks. Free wifi and breakfast met our needs. The room is simple but all we needed was beds and a shower so it worked for us.

This place was terrible it was not in the best of neighborhoods. The room itself was clean enough, but the motel was pretty rundown. The rate I paid online was nearly double what they were charging the guest without reservations. I would not recommend this place to anyone and can honestly say I will never stay there again!

This hotel was very inexpensive and close to the Riverwalk and all the sights. It's very affordable for what you get - we really liked the fact that it was two blocks from the Riverwalk and you could just hop on and walk down to the main part of the city in a few minutes. It's not fancy but it was fine for our needs and very inexpensive.

This "hotel" was very run down with dirty carpets and linens, with dampess in walls and smelly rooms, with roaches and awful bathrooms. The thing is that our group coudn't leave although we wanted because with the stayed been prepaid when you book reservations your money is not refundable. They offered a transfer to a Super 8, which was a little better, […] because it was newer, but with a worse location. Sooo, we had to stayed, buy Lysol, shower with towels in bathtub, always wearing shoes and make the better of a bad 5 nights situation. Thank God San Antonio Downtown and Riverwalk was worthwhile of the free time between the Senior League Tennis Championships held in San Antonio. Continua a leggere

This motel was one of the worst I have ever stayed at. It was dirty, unkept, and totally disgusting. I would never go back to it. The facility is run down and even the blow dryer would not work. It was definitely not worth the price I paid for it. I will think twice about using Hotels.com again.

So the hotel itself is a bit old and could use some updating, but for the price you pay and the convenient location within walking distance to the Alamo and Riverwalk, and availability on our last second decision to stay the night, we were very satisfied staying here!

There were cock roches at night and we did not see them untill we retured late and wife and kids did not sleep.they spent the night in the vehicle

Not a bad stay at this hotel. Very good location and reasonably well maintained. Only gripe was the numerous stains on the bed linen, think one of them was a blood stain. Overall tho reasonable value considering the location. Staff were also ok.

It is about a half mile to the Alamo. We did not stay in the room very much but it was good. The phone wasn't working when we got there & they came up immediately and fixed it. We walked or road the vs bus everywhere.

We made hotel arrangements through the internet and were delighted to have just what we hoped for: a most comfortable room, close enough to walk to the Riverwalk, and within great public transportation connections to enable our visit to the Alamo and some of the missions. Thank you for a most memorable visit to San Antonio!

2-star room for sure. "Right price only" Half star on amenities. Bare bones only. If you are trying to make an impression on someone, this isn't the place.

The beds were not comfort, AC did not work, dirty around stairs, in dining area. No clean towels upon request. High price for a one night stay. Would not stay here again.

Stayed for two nights during spring break week and my room was not cleaned after the first night of stay. Was not happy that room was not cleaned.

This hotel first double booked me and another guest, after that I was put in a room with a rancid odor. When management sent house keeping to clean the room the gentleman from house keeping informed me that management new about this odor and should not have given me the room. After once again changing rooms I was given a room that had problems with […] the shower draining and by this time the hotel was completely booked and had no other rooms available. Location was great, transit stop right by the hotel, walking distance from Alamo plaza. That being said, not many other positives. Tub drain was slow, you stood in water before you were done showering. There must have been some significant roof leak in the past, because the walls were badly water stained. Room smelled musty.

This was a place to sleep. I slept there and went to the River Walk, nothing more. The price plus why I was using it made it worth it. I wouldn't go there for great hotel comfort.

This hotel may not be the cleanest hotel in the world, but for the price we payed there are very few that could match it. It was clean enough for one as well-traveled as myself, but those of more particular habits may find it not up to snuff and the very friendly staff who accommodated our unusual schedule were better than many of the high-end hotels […] I have seen. came to the henry b gonzales convention center -the hotel was walking distance a plus for not having to pay event parking fees. the staff was entertaining, helpful and informative. water was hot and never ending. pool was sparkling clean. this room had been remodeled and was no smoking so it did not have that nasty smell. mattresses not bad but could […] stand replacing soon. tv worked fine. for the price as good as you are gonna get Continua a leggere

We stayed on a Wednesday night and the stay for the cost was excellent, The gentleman at the hotel (Chris) was very good. His customer service skills were excellent. He gave me great direction to his location and stay with me on the phone until I was there. I forgot my phone the next morning and I called the front desk and Ricky who work the front desk […] went to my room and got my phone for me and kept it for me until I arrived. This hotel was gross. It was very old, which I know for the area is everything, however there was no upkeep. The sheets looked dirty as did the bathroom. I had a do not disturb hanger on the door and they still pounded on the door until I answered. The parking was horrible. When I got back at night I had to park outside of the hotel. For the price I […] could have found a better place but the location said it was less than a mile from the riverwalk. The part of the riverwalk that it's close to is not the part you want to visit. While I appreciated the low cost and the ability to walk to places downtown. Our heat didn't work the first night, the bathroom wasn't clean and the towels were slightly damp before use and weren't given fresh towels or linens

This motel was very nice even though not the newest. It is only about a 4 block walk from Alamo, 6 from RiverCenter Mall. We were very happy with the room. Would stay there again.

Hotel close to convention center and trolley stop and bus stop. Had to tell maid to clean bathroom. Didn't vacuum room while we were there. Beds uncomfortable no extra pillows or floor mats for bathroom.

The room is ok for few days when you were there for just to sleep. I know that for the price I cannot wait to much but the hotel need to replace the towels because they are too worn-out. Also need to improve the condition of the bathroom.

The only thing the hotel had going for it was that it was a relatively short walk to the River Walk. The location around it was seedy, though. The room was horrid. I almost puked when I found a booger stuck to the window. The sheets were dirty and the pillows were most likely bought at the 99 cent store. Booked a room for two days to see a show at the Alamo Dome. It was near a lot of attractions in the down town area... would stay again next time

I had to travel to San Antonio for a job interview for one day and this hotel was perfectly located in the downtown area for a low price. It is a couple of blocks away from the riverwalk. The staff was very nice and helpful.

I went for new years celebration with my family, we stay dec 30 to january 2. We walk from the hotel to Alamo, riverwalk, mall... (dont need to paid parking :). No refrigerator or microway but the room was nice and clean.

Close to downtown with a reasonable price. Free parking is a plus. Room smelled slightly of smoke because the person next door smoked. Breakfast was decent.

Needs to have a betuer breakfast.

location was excellent, 5 blocks from El Alamo, free internet and free parking ....but the rest was not that good. Breakfast was poor and the room was too small to hold guests. The hotel was old, needs updated really bad...but I have to say that it was clean. So, if you are not too demanding...go there and you will not need to drive anywhere!

This hotel is located very near The Alamo (walking distance). It is a budget hotel, just to shower and sleep. Do not expect any other ammenities. If you are under a strict budget, this is your hotel.
