L albergo è posizionato perfettamente. Bello, moderno, molto pulito. Unica nota dolente il ristorante. Abbiamo fatto colazione due volte: servizio lento e poco attento, cibo di buona qualità ma troppo costoso. In ogni caso l albergo è veramente di ottimo livello.

L'hotel si trova di fronte a un centro commerciale molto grosso e a metà strada fra Carmel e Monterey nella zona degli alberghi. Buon punto di partenza. Pulito, la colazione molto essenziale viene offerta.

Ho soggiornato in una camera dell'edificio principale. Era molto grande, con balcone sul bosco. Letto king immenso. Una bella sorpresa, dietro la facciata un pò da motel. Zona comodissima per visitare Carmel e la costa verso Big Sur. Nessun servizio di ristorazione però, peccato.

Siamo capitati in un periodo di tempo orribile (pioggia e vento in abbondanza) con discreti problemi anche alla viabilità. Il Sunset Inn ci è apparso come un rifugio tranquillo ed accogliente. La struttura appare simile a tanti motel americani ma con un tocco in più di raffinatezza e cura nei dettagli. La location, poi, è davvero splendida. Da consigliare assolutamente.

Classico Hotel stile americano, ben tenuto e pulito, eccellente colazione continentale con prodotti freschi e di ottima fattura. Comodo per godersi il magnifico panorama offerto da Monterey e la 17 miglia road.
The hotel looks a bit old and worn on the outside but the rooms don't seem that way at all. They are nice, clean and very comfortable, with all the furniture one might need. Hotel service is friendly and willing to help with whatever they can.

"Close to wharf, helpfull staff"
Although this hotel doesn't look like too much fun from the outside, painted in an awful green color with a gas station as the closest neighbor, the inside is a surprise. The room was clean, with very comfortable beds. However, the road passing by can have heavy traffic so ear plugs might be necessary for a good nights sleep. Even though we were there […] during a busy weekend, there was no problem finding parking. There is parking both in front of the hotel, and also an underground garage. There is a small pool, located right above the entrance to said garage. Not a very inviting pool area, however, so we stayed away. Just a short walk down to the old wharf, with many restaurants and small shops. The breakfast was what can be expected from a continental one, cereal, toast and yoghurt. "Better on the inside"
Booked it on a whim and it was cheap. Outside is worrisome because it is older looking. The rooms are way nicer than the outside of the building. Comfy beds, very clean. Convenient location, we walked everywhere. Great resources for traveling in and around Monterey. Breakfast is good, hotel workers nice.

About 10-15 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf. For a two star property we were pretty satisfied with the cleanliness and comfort of the room! Continental breakfast is lacking. The decor / room amenities could do with some updating but it's perfectly fine if you just want somewhere basic & simple to put your head down. It is a Travelodge after all... The bed was more comfortable than most, a pleasant surprise.

This motel is ideal for a stopover in Monterey. Its in a good location, less than 10 minutes walk from the Fishermans Wharf area. "Ok for a one night stop over"
The room was ok. I consider myself a small person, and the shower was more of a rinse as I had to bend over to wash my hair. If you stay here get the top floor as the walls and floors are thin. Other than that it was a comfy rest! The breakfast consisted of two cereal types, various muffins, toast tea and coffee.
Hotel was surprisingly nice for a two star hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable. Only complaint was the street noise. If you are a light sleeper I do not recommend that you stay here. Location is next to a gas station and on a main street. "The Travelodge in Downtown Monterey"
The Travelodge was centrally located near Fisherman's Wharf, restaurants, and bars. Our room was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and would definitely recommend this to friends and other travelers.

My wife and I have stayed at a lot of motels, but this motel has the best beds we have ever slept on. The rooms are old but they are clean. The location is great because it is close to all the fast food breakfast places and other restaurants we like to go to. The staff are friendly and helpful. I can say the only downfall is the parking. If you have […] a large vehicle it is a hassle to park it, because some of their parking is in a parking garage, and my truck is too tall to fit, and it is a stock 4X4 not lifted at all. They did however allow me to park my truck in the managers parking spot which really helped me, so they were accommodating! While this hotel is dated and not for everyone, you can't beat the convenient location and value for $. The continental breakfast is very basic, but satisfactory for those that needing just a bowl of cereal, toast, muffin, juice and coffee to start the day. If your looking for a room that's also convenient to Old Monterey, but newer and having more […] character, I recommend the adjacent Casa(s) Munras or Abrego. "GREAT PLACE TO STAY IN MONTEREY!"
Great Location! Great Price! One cannot beat this location and the deal on the room. Room a bit small, but we really don't need a larger room. The only complaints were shower was small and the bathroom fan rattled. One could be fixed, the other not. After it all, I am definately going back, it's well worth it for the area!

Easy to find and everything is very near two gas stations, a Dennys even a Jack in the box a block up the road. When we arrived the clerk had our paperwork ready for in case of a black out. We were informed of breakfast and asked if we were familiar with the area and if we needed directions. Our room was very comfortable, but for in case you dont notice […] your fridge on its because you have to plug it in yourself. I am tall and so the shower was smaller than most but my kids fit fine. Even though there were showers through out our stay parking was outside our room and the walkway to the office was covered. I do recommend if you want to have a good rest dont stay on the first floor everyone passes by your window. We have two kids we are used to everything just small recommendations for everyone else. "Travelodge"
The room was very clean and breakfast was decent for the price. The only thing that I didn't like was the carpet; it needs to be changed. The walls are very thin. We woke up in the middle of the night because we could hear our neighbors' conversation. Overall I was happy, and I would stay there again.

The room was very clean; cramped with large desk, but someone probably needs a large desk in their room. Good location for walking around. "Better than average"
I was pleasantly surprised with the Travel Lodge in Downtown Tiburon. The Reviews had only given it 2 stars, yet for the price, free parking, free internet access, comfortable bed, nice lady at the desk, convenient location and continental breakfast I'd give it 4 stars. And I would stay there again.

"Comfy Place"
Staff was very friendly the rooms were very clean, but the bed was the most comfortable one we ever slept on. Location was also excellent but parking was limited, especially for a large SUV or Truck.

I travel to Monterey alot. I scuba dive the area at least once a month. I try to cut cost were I can so far out of 10 different hotels ranging from 1 star to 4 stars, this was the most confortable hotel. it is a short drive to most dive spots. Parking is kind of limited. Will stay again.

The parking is very tight in the underground garage, and I don't think there are enough spaces for every room. Parking my full sized SUV between two other full sized SUV's took two shoehorns and a gallon of vaseline. If you're staying here try to leave the big cars at home. "Hidden gem"
This motel exceeded my expectations. It was very clean. It was renovated. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Close to the wharf. There are restaurants close by. I cannot wait to stay there again.

The hotel is fine to just stay the night, but it was very loud at night. I could hear the buses outside and the people in the next room. Not exactly a place to stay if you are spending time in your room, but if you just need a quick place to rest your head for the night, it suits just fine. "Nice location - but needs help"
The hotel is situated close to things but it also faces a gas station which is twenty feet away. The rooms were okay but need to be redone. No bathtubs, only showers. But it did have a heated pool.
"Older convenient hotel"
This is an older hotel with a location that suited our needs for this visit. More than adequate underground car parking available. Walking distance to many varied restaurants and shops. Very comfortable bed with nice linens. Complimentary breakfast offered and coffee available 24 hours. No complaints
"Nice option close to Monterey's Wharf"
This hotel is conveniently located within walk-in distance to Monterey Fishermen's as well as to a bus stop for a free Monterey Aquarium bus (which was convenient, as the hotel does not have much parking space available)

"Travel Lodge, right price, right place"
Service was great. Nice walking distance from fisherman wharf and downtown area and shuttle pick up station to Monterey Bay Aquarium.

"Travelodge Downtown Monterey"
Nice place. Simple, easy to get to. Free parking. Free continental breakfast. Gas station right outside. Close to shops, pubs and restaurants. The room had a very stong antiseptic or some sort of cleaning agent smell. Needed to keep the door and open all the time.

Very easy to get to and very clean older motor inn. Limited underground parking, but it is free and we had no trouble having a spot to park. The breakfast was enough for us with quite a variety of breads, fruits, juices, hot beverages, cereals, so a good deal for a family with kids and one less thing to have to pay for. "DM Travelodge"
The staff was nice and very helpful. They helped us with directions and spots to eat at. The hotel was clean and fit our budget. The only negative I would have to say was some of the patrons staying at the hotel were loud and not very considerate of the other patrons staying there. We had children on this trip and some of these patrons were outside […] of their hotel doors screaming, laughing and talking very loud at 2:00 a.m. for two nights in a row. It was just disappointing that other traveler's were not mindful of their behavior. I would stay there again, but I would probably request the top floor next time around. The hotel is close to places to eat, there's a Trader Joes and Peets Coffee right down the street. You can catch the Trolley two blocks away and go to Cannery Row and the Aquarium.
