Easy to find, great location

barely adequate. washing machine-broken. We booked because it advertised fitness facilities-contract expired so no fitness facility. lots of young peopel sitting in doorways smoking in non smoking rooms. Butts all over. Breakfast was good.

Stayed one week for spring training. Arrived to broken elevator and had to carry luggage up 3 stories. Specified non-smoking room but had to be moved since the room reeked of smoke. Exterior grounds, including hallways, stairways and landings were never swept and were littered with cigarette butts. Broken glass was not swept up for 5 days (and not until […] we were able to locate the manager to complain). Did not use pool or hot tub since we felt leery about cleanliness. Spent our days enjoying the area and Spring Training so we "manned up" and endured the place. (It is also nearly impossible to find an alternative place in March). Would never return to this place. health club use-non-existent laundry facilities-none. broke down and had been for a while clientel-seemed like a lot of people sitting in their doorways smoking in non-smoking rooms. breakfast-ok. eggs, sausge, cereals, waffles. They had a hard time keeping up when it was busy.

Building is nice but staff unresponsive -- took 3 days to get a remote for theTV. Side street has truck depot so truck noise begins early on weekdays. Pools are nice and breakfast is good. Rooms have complete kitchen but is completely empty -no utensils, no dishes, glasses or pots and pans.

First the Good: (a) The room was clean & comfortable. (b) The two employees I dealt with at the front desk, Manny and Gilbert, were very kind, helpful, and sweet. Now the Bad: (a) The lock on the door was very frustrating, as it was very unresponsive to my keycard, and simply turning the knob was not sufficient to open it. (b) The shower was very hard […] to figure out. The knobs did not do what they apparently were supposed to do. (c) The bathroom light seemed to have bad wiring. It flickered and ghosted and finally burned out, emitting a slight burning odor. (d) The whole place was not very well designed by its architect and landscape designer. It has a single entry point, off a side road, not from the main road. The entry is a narrow driveway at a strange angle, and leads into a series of very small narrow parking lots. Once you park your car, you would have to step over rocks and a curb and/or around a huge pillar to get onto the walkways that would lead to your room. (e) The breakfast room was arranged in a way that ensured constant bottlenecks and traffic jams, making the mere gathering of food difficult. (f) One particularly bad night, there was a constant stream of loud voices below our room, for several hours, and even though we called the front desk to complain, the night manager did nothing about it. There were 3 of us staying 2 nights ,so we needed 2 rooms. One room had 2 queens, and the other room with 1 Queen. Both rooms were very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. We loved the continental breakfast, BUT get there early. We will most definately be staying their in the future.

I realize that the fare for this hotel was very affordable but I didn't realize that came at a price of its own. One thing I was trying to avoid was staying at a hotel where people live. The room next to our's had a family living there and people coming and going at all hours. I witnessed what appeared to be a drug buy behind the dumpsters as I walked […] to my vehicle. The room was fine, but there needs to be some policing of your grounds. We were accosted by a very inebriated young man telling lewd jokes before we even got to our room, and then any of us in the area were awakened between 2-4 am by loud and drunken shouting, arguing, etc., so didn't get much rest.

Room was ok for the money. Not very quiet and clientelle on our side of the building kind of sketchy. Bathroom was clean. Bed was clean and ok comfortable. Ground floor made me a little nervous.

The hotel was nice for the price and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub area were well maintained. The continental breakfast had a decent selection.

Was looking for a value location in Tempe with a full kitchen. This hotel is older but is recently painted with carpet, etc. Have heard the branding has changed several times recently but it didn't seem to impact my stay. Room and grounds were clean. Friendly and accommodating staff. Simple but decent continental breakfast. Only downside was sparse […] kitchen utensils and no dish soap or cleaning implements in room. location was good, close to shopping and food. Room was old and out dated, carpet bad, the sink and toilet very low. breakfest was okay. staff was really nice and helpful. just needs renovating.

Our original reservation was for a king size bed our originally was very small with a queen bed. As soon as i brought the mistake to the staff's attention, they went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable room. I greatly appreciated it

This hotel accomplished exactly wo what I wanted during my stay. I didn't have to worry about anything other than having a good time. My only complaint is that we asked for a non-smoking room and on the first night the room reeked of smoke. But that's more the previous occupant than the hotel. Traveling for business in Scottsdale and decided to drive a little and save a lot. Staff was great. They ran out of breakfast with 10 minutes to go, so that was disappointing. My wife and I recently stayed in this Days Inn and Suites in Tempe. The overall comfort of the room and the service was about what we normally expect for the price. The true surprise was in the morning. While we are used to just having a bagel or muffin as part of a free breakfast at most hotels, this hotel had fresh eggs and bacon, as well as a waffle-making […] machine. By having a nice big breakfast here, it saved us money that we would normally spend getting a McDonald's breakfast or something else. Although the rooms were very clean, we did find a roach in one room the first day, but its arizona, that happens...overall good value, but not in any way 5 star...

Pipe broke in the bathroom and was leaking on the toilet at 630 am in the morning. Got an upgraded room and they did the best they could under the circumstances, The manager was new (been there for one week and they were currently doing upgrades). Overall, for the price the hotel was well worth it.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was very friendly, helpful and acommodating. When I had to extend my stay two extra days they were very helpful. I would stay here again. The surrounding area was beautiful. Also very close to shopping.....walking distance.

No big complaints about the hotel. The front desk staff could've been a little friendlier, but not rude at all. The breakfast was good. The hotel seemed nice. My only complaint was that we asked for a non-smoking room and during out first night, it was obvious that someone had smoked in there. WE were satisfied withour rate .When we checked in they gave us a room that was not smoke free and we went back to the front desk and he then gave us the smoke free room that we had requested. The breakfast was better than we expected. over all a good experience

We used to live in the area and were just in town for a wedding and it was perfect. I'm not sure I would stay here if you are here and have never been before and looking to relax and get sun, but it was perfect if you have a car and know the area. Really enjoyed it.

Very nice clean place, comfortable bed, clean rooms, and very good location, near a Walmart and other very restraunts . . .

Very nice for the price.

Appreciated having a separate sitting room with TV so one person could sleep and the other be awake in the other room (door closed) Great front desk service. Only comment....the rooms are clean and comfortable, but look very "old". New carpets? and please, thicker towels. Overall good experience.

This hotel was dingy and run down. The outside looks much better than when you go inside your room. Was very disappointed. Word of advice... pay the extra $15 or $20 to stay somewhere nicer... I wish I would have.

I was thrilled with this hotel for the price we paid to stay the night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room could have been a little cleaner, but it was OK. The internet was somewhat slow, and I did not like that it was an unsecured connection. I MUCH prefer hotels to assign a password to guests. I did not use it, but the pool looked clean […] and inviting. The continental + breakfast was really good, and the waffles were delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Quiet nice place. Close to the highway and convenient.

really nice hotel & amenities for the price - well maintained, lovely pool area & nice variety of food choices for breakfast. Only drawback was the suite's a/c didn't really draw thru to the living room area of the suite - the wall-mounted unit is in bedroom area only and kept that nice and cool but really didn't cool the secondary area. We were there […] in April - wouldn't want to see how the a/c can handle the summer heat of Phoenix in this type of suite. Continua a leggere
