Overall, it wasn't too bad. The only thing is the pull out bed needs to be replaced. It was all lumpy and uncomfortable sleeping in. The service at the breakfast area is slow and food wasn't all that great. Also the phone in the living area wasn't working.

The room and common areas of the hotel were very clean. The pool area and lazy river area were well maintained. The facility is close to several points of interest and popular restaurants. The staff is very friendly. We booked an ocean front room with 2 double beds. We found the room to be small and the beds were not comfortable. Upon check-in, we found […] the chain-lock on the door broken and immediately reported the problem. The problem was NOT addressed during our weekend stay. I was very shocked to see that the Westgate Hotel in Myrtle Beach is very much below the standards of the Kissimmee location. As a Westgate Resorts owner, I assumed that the hotel would be of the same standards, but how wrong was I. The hotel in Myrtle Beach was antiquated and lacked comfort. The clientele consisted mostly of young, unruly people with […] a lack of respect for anything. Security/police were called on numerous occasions because of the noise and behavior in the vestibule. The staff were very nice, the hotel is in great condition and very clean! The location is within walking distance to all attractions! I Will deffently stay here again!

We stayed in the one bdrm condoand it was beautiful. The whole family loved everything about the suite. We wished we could've stayed longer. Yes we do recommend to stay in the tower (condos)

While the staff was friendly and efficient, we found the room and surrounding area to fulfill the negative things we had heard about the Myrtle Beach area. The beds were very uncomfortable and the room quite small, even for two people. We made the mistake of having the "amusement park view," and actually overlooked an ugly lower roof of the building. […] The divisions of the patio were very small, so we had no privacy on the balcony. The hotel does provide free beach chairs and umbrellas and towels, which was a nice element. We walked over to the boardwalk on evening and the surrounding area feels run-down and not great with kids. I would not stay in this hotel again, preferring to pay a bit more for more comfort, or perhaps choosing a different beach altogether. Continua a leggere

Great hotel! very clean. friendly staff! perfect location!

The hotel stay was nice. You get what you pay for. It wasn't the nicest place on the beach but great for the money! Would stay there again. With the one exception of the cleaning lady walking in my room while I was in the shower.

We had a fabulous view of the ocean and beach. Clearly this is a new building (tower) and very well built. We couldn't hear any of our neighbours above, below or beside us. The living area was very comfortable, updated and spacious. Flat screen t.v.s and dvd players in each bedroom was great. The beds were so comfortable. The salt pool was very nice […] and well used by our family. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The appliances in the kitchen were very new and clean. The dishwasher was minus 2 wheels making things a little interesting. Really appreciated having a washer/dryer. Only downside was the pull-out couch....springs poked out and was lumpy. The stay was wonderful. The room we stayed in wasn't anything too fancy, but the people were so nice and helpful. I wouldn't recommend it if your tyring to party or something, they were very strict on the noise and drinking which I appreciated. It was an extremely relaxing and peaceful experience and I don't think I could have picked a much nicer hotel […] for the price. I would definitely stay there again. :) Continua a leggere

Great experience! Staff was very friendly, hotel was very clean and comfortable. Would stay again! Others in our party stayed at another hotel which was very dirty. Glad we stayed at the Westgate!

Hotel was conveniently located, Parking was across the street but you can unload your car and then take your car over, not bad at all. Rooms were nice and kept well. Balcony wasn't private which was the only thing that wasn't that great, but if you want to meet new people great for that. Water was the best water I've had at a hotel, it was soft water […] and left my hair and skin feeling nice. The beach is right out of the hotel which was awesome. I would go back and would recommend this hotel because it is a good place to stay for your money, three- three and a half starts. Continua a leggere

We got this room based on hotels.com pictures and reviews and were blown away at the quality of this resort. Far beyond our expectations and the room was outstanding. If you are considering, upgrade to a King Deluxe room. The room was spotless and has a full size kitchen (with granite and stainless steel appliances) and a separate master with living […] room. The balcony was great with a view that overlooked the Atlantic Ocean. The resort is located across the street from a family amusement park that would be great for the kids. The resort has several pools including a lazy river and a pool side tiki bar. I am looking forward to my next return! Continua a leggere

Matched our expectations Would return in a minute

My friend and I enjoyed our spring break here! It was lovely. We got promoted to the owners building which seems nicer than the hotel part, but it was beautiful and the peopl there made it worth while. Not a bad place to stay considering every attraction is 2-10 minutes away. I recommend westgate to all.

This is the second year that my wife and i have stayed at the Wwestgate facility to celebrated my wife's birthday. It was great. The room was fantastic.. The suite was so nice and clean. We had a wonderful time. I would recommed this hotel to everyone. Thank you fro being so nice a gracious to us. My hat is off to you for the accomodations.

Everything about the resort is exceptional including the food. The only bad thing I would have to say about the resort was their wifi hookup for internet. They want 10 dollars a day and you cannot keep a connection. Wifi reception is very poor.

The lighting in the room was terriable. Drink machines didnt work and kept my money.Refrigerator didnt keep anything cold.

Very old rooms, small rooms, nothing like the Westgate Resort I stayed in in Florida. Very disapointed on New Years.

This hotel was rated 3 stars....however when arrived it was dingy, empty parking lot with odd folks hanging around. Did not feel staff....thehotel itself , therew as sections ofthe lobby that was shut down....dark......it was extremely odd....it looked run down. as a result I did not stay....felt that it was not safe as I had to go in and out through […] this horrible run down parking lot. very convenient and comfortable, loved it

This place is not a good value. Not enough hotel for the money. 1. Parking is across the street. 2. The ice machines did not work. 3. The soda machines did not work 4. No private balcony. 5. The roof of the balcony was rotten. If you want a nice place to stay, go somewhere else.

This is a good place to stay. Very friendly service. Close to everything. Hotel is pretty clean but, is older and starting to show age. MY BOYFRIEND AND I STAYED HERE FOR THE WEEKEND. WE HAD A DOUBLE CITY VIEW. THE ROOM WAS .A BIT SMALL, BUT SERVED THE PURPOSE FOR OUR TRIP. HOTEL IS LITTLE OLD, BUT STILL IN GOOD CONDITION. WOULD STAY AGAIN. SN: THERE IS NO PRIVACY ON THE BALCONY.

The good part was the price and the convience to and from the roads. The only knocks I have are the fact that I didn't realize this was a timeshare resort also and had to park across the street dispite numerous parking spaces in front of the hotel(found out later timeshare owners can parking in front of hotel on weekends and everyone else can during […] the week). Also the security guard who works for them assumed that everyone from nc comes down there to cause trouble and run back across the line before being caught. I simply refused to tell him where I was from due to possibly being stereo typed. Everything else was good. Well when you stay here at this resort, if not a owner and just a hotel stay you will be in the OLD run down section of the resort. That really needs some work done, looks like an oversized version of a low end economy hotel. However the picture on the site are of the New tower that The resort time share owners stay in. Also be prepared to walk a block […] after you park down the road from the hotel after you unload. Parking at the hotel is reserved for timeshare owners only not hotel guest. I was very impressed with the Hotel , The only short fall was they need more parking , Was not to happy about having to park across the street . But other than that I would stay here again .

The balcony was not very private. There were only rails seperating balconys, not walls. The room door was hard to open as the door would stick, and the lock was hard to open. we stayed on the 3d floor and had to go to the fifth floor to find a ice machine that worked The room was average,but the mattress on the beds needed replacing. This hotel is right on the beach and that's the only positive thing I can say about it. There were dead cockroaches by the ice and vending machines. There were food scraps on the elevator that were left there for days. The whole hotel needs to be renovated.

This Place is Horrible, from the smell of the Lobby to the Horrible smell of the rooms, this place is Felt and nasty, they do not clean the rooms as they supposed to, we had to ask for new sheets every day because the house keeping did not bother to change it, lots and lots of roaches, dining tables falling apart, shower dirty, toilet broken, doors […] not locking, dirty & wet carpet, OVER ALL, IT'S A DIRTY PLACE TO STAY, you've been warned! Pool plus poolside bar was its best feature, although the beds/pillows were VERY comfortable, and the location of the hotel puts it in one of the best neighborhoods in Myrtle. Just a short walk to the 2nd Street Pier and a medium length walk to the Boardwalk. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
