"Glad I stayed here... easy reach for Ithaca"
Ithatha College new student event - couldn't get a place in town... and the rates were jacked way up. Choose a little bit of a drive and saved alot. Hotel great for the purpose / stayed one night. Reasonable and good amenities.

What brought me to Cortland was Greek Peak Mountain. The Ramada was a less expensive alternative then staying at the ski lodge. The hotel is close to express way & near several restaurants. Not much to do in the area. We had to commute nearly 10-15 miles up the mountain to get to the ski resort. Rooms very clean!!! Receptionist Wasn't the friendliest […] and took forever to come to the front because she was texting too much. The hotel is under remodeling so it smells a lot like paint and isn't the ideal aroma. "great stay"
Had a good experience here. It was my first time staying here but would go back. Only negative is that it is far from downtown but besides that it was good.

We were in town for a few days visiting with our son at Ithaca College a 40 minute drive from Cortland over route 13. This hotel was reasonable, clean and the staff was very helpful. There was a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room so we were able to do some basic meals. The pool was small but rectangular and very warm and clean so it […] was fine for me as an avid lap swimmer. I had it to myself most of the time. "Great overnight stay"
We were on our way to Niagara Falls for the weekend and needed a place to stay for the night near the highway. The Ramada Inn was the perfect place. Clean, friendly, and great price! I will definitely stay here again on my next road trip north!

The service was good. Hotel was nicely decorated for fall season. tough our room window was fronted to a close hall. there is no breakfast included so you have to buy one in the next steakehouse.

Great price for quality of hotel, nice restaurant, pool, and rooms. About 15-20 minutes from Greek Peak.
"Better than expected."
First impression was not good. The exterior is right out of the 70's. But the interior has recently been upgraded and is on par with most newer Ramada's. WIFI was a bit tougher to log in to more than once a day but a decent place to stay nonetheless w/ a Taco Bell, Wendy's & Arby's within walking distance. A nice little college town.
Went to Cortland for parents weekend. Hotel was fine for one night. Only thing is the "heated" pool was cold and they could at least have complimentary coffee.
"Not a Pleasant Place to Stay"
This hotel has no soul. Staff are not friendly or available to help (e,g, call to Front Desk went unanswered). The entire facility smells of chlorine (pool-type odor). Room was OK. I requested a quiet room as a parking lot full of bikers arrived just as I checked in. Room met that condition. On premise dining facility was mediocre at best. Again staff […] very lackadaisical. Waited a long time for my check; waited again for the change. In the meantime my waitress was waiting on another table and she dropped their entrees on the floor. "Near Miss"
Usually I stay at the Hampton or the Country Inn, but with college opening rooms were scarce. I've tried a couple others in the past, but they were pretty rough. So this time the Ramada. It was better than I expected, but I was surprised and disappointed that a comp breakfast wasn't included for the price. Well fool me once shame on you, fool me twice […] shame on me. BYE! All of the personnel encountered were wonderful and cheery. However, the hotel itself is seedy and run down. A view from the outside, of the windows/drapes, gives a loud and clear message that the inside is shabby.

it was very good, overall. The interior and the washroom seem to have been redone more or less recently and the room was comfortable and quiet. I was very pleased with the stay. Recommend for anyone with a tighter budget but wish to sleep in a nice room.

Hotel was close to the freeway with easy access to it. My visit was to Cornell University and location of the Motel served me well. Staff were generally very nice.

Booked room with two double beds but only got 1 double bed. Floor was wet due to rain. Corridor was dark and uninvinting. I was not happy. Sorry.

"leaking overhead bathroom light"
Check in was fine - reservation made online and took less than a minute to get key and to the room. Problem was that a stream of water was coming down through the overhead light in bathroom. Reported this to front desk - no response or questions to this report - I feel sorry for the next guest who experiences this - electric lights and water do ot […] mix - this should have been something that the hotel staff would have acted on immediately or at least shown some concern. "Visited Ithaca College"
The room was clean and had lots of pillows. Our room was a bit far from the lobby and restaurant(actually a separate building) but it all worked out fine. I just wished it was a little closer to Ithaca but it was about a 35-40 minute ride through a mostly rural area.

This hotel is not well maintained. The card keys gave us trouble each time we entered. While at the desk, another couple complained about the same problem.

The hotel was very nice for what we wanted. We were in town for parents weekend at Syracuse U. The only complaint; we got back to the hotel late Saturday night and both our keys stopped working. We went to the desk around midnight and the clerk fixed it for us, but I thanked her, never and apology for having to walk around the building. You could not […] access the loby from our wing. "Ramada in Cortland - needs a bath"
Not happy with the stay. First non-smoking room obviously was smoking some time in the past - then second room had VERY noisy cooling system. Overall hotel could be a bit cleaner. Changed hotels for expected Oct visit to the area!

The beds were very old and were not comfortable at all--did not get a good night sleep while there. The housekeeping service left A LOT to be desired--we opened the sofa bed and the bed clothes looked like they had not been changed since the last visitor. They did come and replace all the linens when we asked, but still it should have been done prior. […] We came in the next day and found that they had forgotten to put pillow cases on the pillows. I was just staying at this hotel for 2 nights. Everything was fine until I returned to my room on the second night at 10pm to find out that my room was never cleaned. The bed was not made and the dirty towels were still on the floor. While that was bad enough, when I informed the clerk at check out time--her reply was very dismissive. She told me that […] I should have called the desk last night. I explained to her that at that time I did not need someone to make my bed, I just wanted to get into it and go to sleep. Check-in took longer than expected. They worked very slowly. I booked a room with 2 beds for four people but they gave me a room with only one bed. I had to go and ask for them to change it.

"good for a stop-over stay"
I stayed here for a watkins glen nascar race, it is about an hour from the track. Not too bad of a drive at all, great for just a single night stop over to sleep. There is really nothing much around it at all to do. But decent price and is along the way if you are going to the track.

Put us in smoking room when we requested non. They had no other rooms available. Toilet broke. They did come and fix it promptly. Shut off our key so we could not get in after a long day out and about with our daughter. I had to walk to another building to get a new one late at night when I was exhausted and to me there was no reason for this. They […] wanted to know how long we were staying when I had booked us for 2 nights and paid ahead. The pool was blue but you could not see the bottom and there seemed to be a scum on the top of it. The hotel was well maintained and clean for the rating and cost. We stayed one night, so it did suffice our needs.
Our stay was short and sweet. The room was very clean and comfortable. We decided to take the kids for a swim but was surprized to find a green indoor pool. I could not believe how great our accommodations were at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, its right near the I-81 and about 3 minutes from SUNY Cortland.

"Needs a bit improvement"
Hotel was okay... But as advertised, the swimming pool was not warm and the water was cold. The fitness center was also not that good with only one walking machine. Room condition was ok. The location is very near to Highway.
