"HI-Nice Location"
While walking from the hotel to the majority of Charleston sites would not be tops on my list, the location was close and certainly very drivable to the TI center where you can park your car to take advantage of the free city services. The hotel was clean and easy to get to and the staff were friendly and helpful. "Charleston hotel"
I had asked for a non smoking room. Was given a smoking room which of course smelled and got into our clothes. They gave us a comp breakfast because of this. Said they would have maintenance send up an ionizer to eliminate smoke it either did not work or they did not do it...never saw it.

Great Front Desk Personnel. The night (Johnny) and morning (Geri?) front desk managers and were wonderful. We arrived for our stay very late as we were driving from Boston and Augusta respectively. They provided a little well needed flexibility with check out times and made us feel welcome.

"Great hotel"
Loved the hotel and the free shuttle to downtown. Only thing I didn't like was not having a separate light in the toilet area.The room was amazing quiet since it was right across from the elevator.
Not greeted warmly...rude. Had to call for towels the second day..none in the room. Noisy room and for a hotel that says all rooms have a view, we had NONE. Water in bathroom hard to adjust without scalding yourself. Went to dinner one evening on the top floor and was told we had to wait 20 minutes...only half of the restaurant was filled. Nice hotel! Only problem it have is noise. We stayed on 4th floor, right above the gym, and we could here people working out. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel.
Great bargain . Restaurant though was horriible, even in pinch skip it.

I have enjoyed staying at this hotel several times now....the service and great attitude of all the staff is impressive, and the well run restaurant is such a bonus...and great food! The location, close to the Earth Fare and the Whole Foods makes it easy for me to do business as well!

"Get a view room on a high floor"
Its surrounded by highway. But if u are up high w a view and you don't mind a 10 min shuttle ride to downtown u can save quite a bit of money you would have to spend to stay downtown.

The hotel overlooks downtown Charleston and is only a 2 min. ride to get there. Free parking makes it a great hotel for visiting the area.
My fiancé and I need to get out of town for a weekend stay and we chose this. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was comfy. Had Room service that was really good! Upstairs restaurant was okay... The view was beautiful but probably wouldn't go again. "nice place to stay but pricie"
nice hotel friendly people clean but not close to anything view nothing to tell about if for a couple that wants to be alone an dont go out this place is for u or elderly people for the price if you want to see the town or ocean dont bother unless your ready to fight traffic to get to be where you want to be

As a place to stay the hotel is reasonable with good rooms and fairly inexpensive. It's main disadvantage is its location across a river from downtown Charleston. The bridge to downtown is not walkable and so you will need a car if you stay here. There is a shuttle to some locations but it runs infrequently. Otherwise, the rooms are fairly large, wifi […] is free, and hotel staff competent. Breakfast in the rooftop restaurant gives you a nice view of the city. This hotel was comfortable and the service was good. It was not close to attractions or shopping, but they had a shuttle running every two hours each day, which was a good thing. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

"Cozy, but nice"
The room is fairly small, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the view at breakfast and at the hotel bar. I would stay there again.

Enjoyed our short stay and especially our dinner at the Roof Top - beautiful scenery overlooking the river and the food was excellent. Convenient to travel downtown to get tour of city.

The staff was great to talk with. They always are on the look out on how to make the stay better. The Top floor bar/restaraunt offers great service, but a very limited menu. "Easy to find"
Best thing was easy to find, convient to all areas. Rooms small, wierd smell, only one elevator that was slow at times. Ok if you are on a budget.
Not a bad hotel, but pricey and the rooms are somewhat cramped. The restaurant is a total waste of money. Really the only redeeming quality about the hotel is the view, which is spectacular.

"handicap room"
My 90 year old mother's room was not cleaned in the 3 days she was at the hotel. Nice hotel, but poor service for my Mom. She also complained that there was no toilet seat cover that she could sit on when she got out of the shower. This may be standard in a handicap room.

Close to the city, close to the beach, very nice staff, both elevators worked despite anothe reviewer's complaint, good pool, thought we didn't get a chance to flop in...great value for the location!!!
