I enjoyed my stay at the holiday inn plainview. The room was very nicely furnished and the shower was wonderful . Very clean. The only complant I had was at the breakfast. When the food was empty they didn't fill up the trays. They left them empty. I had asked two different servers to refill the egg whites and neither did. Convenient Location right off the LIE, NSP, one exit from 135, and pretty close to 110. The lone place of interest actually close to the hotel is a 7-11, which is only good for buying beers after your girlfriend falls asleep. Nice rooms, comfortable beds. Good service. Hotel lobby under re-construction. Convenient, hot breakfast included.

Great hotel anf location. Hotel is being remodeled and should be complete by summer they say. Rooms are spacious but walls are paperthin to bad. Everthing is done very nicely and is very clean. Staff was very friendly. Will be going back

I have stayed there twice in three weeks. Staff is so nice and sweet. Rooms are beautiful, lobby is under construction but because of that price is amazing! Take advantage!

Hotel staff very courteous and friendly. They made great recommendations for local restaurants. They really knew the area well.

The hotel is undergoing renovation so the lobby is torn up, but the room was very nice, large, clean and everything was new. Do not upgrade to the breakfast buffet though - they give you tickets for breakfast when you check in. We never actually used it because we had other plans.

The hotel is doing a make over. Rooms are very comfortable and nice, prices are great due to remodel. Once it's nice prices will jack up so take advanntage now.!

The staff is amazing, the room is amazing and the prices are amazing. We needed a fork and the guy told me when im done just leave it in the room, we had a complimentary breakfast that had great coffee and a non-aggressive waiter. Would definitly go again!

I had an exceptional time at this hotel. It was soooo clean and modern. It was very comfortable. I'm a very particular individual and I'm very observant. This place was great. I'd come back again. The manager Brian was sooo very helpful, pleasant, and professional. Whatever I needed he made sure it was handled accordingly. This Holiday Inn was way better than any moderate range Disney hotels in Orlando. Pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. It's not just a muffin /coffee bar but has hot waffles, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, OJ,coffe etc... Don't think twice about staying at this place.

We arrived in the afternoon and were promptly processed at the front desk by a very friendly man. The rooms (we had two) were perfect .. sparkling lcean, recently remodeled, decorated and had everything we needed. Was my 2nd stay in as many weeks. The hotel is really nice, rooms are great. The lobby is undergoing construction, but is barricaded nicely, not an eyesore. The breakfast buffet was really good. Scrambled eggs,waffles,fresh fruit,bacon,sausage,the works. Excellents eats for an extra few dollars added to the room. Absolutely well worth it.

I was surprised at how nice the room was for the price I paid. The value was excellent. The first day I arrived, I was greeted and treated with great respect and the staff was extremely helpful. There was extra coffee in the room, free wireless internet and very clean areas. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was undergoing renovations and you could tell our room was new. The service in the evening when we checked in was great they were very helpful. The service at the buffet was lousy and the buffet was not worth $9.95 although it was free for us.

I was only at the hotel overnight but I truly enjoyed my stay there. It was a nice, stylish hotel with a bargain price tag. I also enjoyed the free breakfast buffet. All of the staff was personable and accommodating.

The hotel is still being renovated, but no problems. My room was really nicer than any Hilton I've stayed in. My only complaint was the lounge (on a Saturday night) closed at 11:00 pm. We were in town performing a concert nearby, had 3 bands and crew staying there. We told the manager of the lounge we would all return by 11:30 to fill the place, but […] she really didn't give a hoot. Guess they don't need the $. Other than that, the hotel is great! My room was actually very nice, and comfortable. The lobby is going through a major renovation, it looks as though it will be very modern when done. The restaurant is another story, at least the help there. Our waiter acted as if the last thing on his mind was making our dining experience a pleasure. He knew nothing about what they had for wine by […] the glass or how to describe salad dressings. Upon finishing our meal we waited 30 minutes for our check, the waiter only had two tables to wait on, once again I know why I avoid hotel restaurants. Continua a leggere

Even though the hotel was going through renovation; I still enjoyed my little weekend getaway. The complimentary breakfast was awesome!! Great staff. Heat in room was bit high but still great stay worth the cost.

We returned to our room around 2 am in the morning to learn that the entire wing had to be removed to another part of the hotel due to maintenance problems with the pipes. My wife and I had to take another room. The Manager did reduce our invoice as compenstion.

This was by far the best experience I have had staying at Holiday Inn. The newly renovated rooms are really good. We got free breakfast even though it was not included in our package. The breakfast was good and I was even allowed to take breakfast to my room since I was not feeling well. (I have been refused to do the same in a couple of other hotels […] I have stayed in) All in all... we had a great experience for the price we paid. Continua a leggere

The cleanliness, friendly staff, convenience, and overall appeal of this hotel were great. Unfortunately the whole experience was ruined with paper thin walls!!! We could hear the people in the next room talking (and doing other things) all night long. We called the front desk and they called the room to tell them to quiet down. The people were up until […] 5am!!!! The next morning we moved rooms and had a pleasant experience for the remainder of the trip. In the new room we could still hear TV's and people talking, but the noise was bearable and stopped around 11pm. Why completely renovate a hotel and leave the walls paper thin?!?! It seemed as though there was no insulation in between rooms. Oh and one other thing...there was no fridge or microwave in the room...weird???? Continua a leggere

Renovations are nice. Very clean. Easy to sleep in, as no light can shine into a window within a hallway. Nice big screen tv, fridge and microwave in room. Breakfast is decent if arrive early. Hotel right off freeway.

Good idea on the rooms, poorly executed in the bathrooms. New wallpaper was put on so poorly, could see it peeling in so many places. Caulking was done horrible as well. Issue with the heater, makes a very odd noise every few minutes. Too much construction during sleeping hours, I was rudely awakened by hammering and jack hammers. I have stayed at this hotel many times and have never been disatissfied. I was very happy that all of the rooms have been updated. The room and bathroom were very comfortable and the decor was very appealing. The location is right off the highway so you can travel to Eastern Long Island or in 45 minutes be in Manhattan. There all 2 Malls within 10 minutes […] of the hotel and a slew of restaurants and fast food establishments. The breakfast buffet had a very good assortment of food. I stayed here 5 days when I was having work done at my home when I lived in the area and always comeback here due to the location. Continua a leggere

Our stay at the Plainview Holiday Inn was short since we were in town only for a funeral. We usually stay somewhere else when visiting, however, since the US Open was in town....everything was alittle pricey. I wish I spent the extra money and stayed at an alternative hotel. The decor of the room was tasteful and the room was very clean. The two problems […] were someone was smoking in the hotel (which is not the fault of the facility) so the smoke was coming through the air system. Also, since the renovation, most room windows face the hallway, so there is no possible way to get fresh air from the outside. Our room had an overwhelming smell of deodarizer upon entry. The smell choked you and made your eyes burn. The general manager was very pleasant and assured me I could be moved, however, every room is sprayed using the same freshner. We decided we were not going to be in the room too much except for sleeping so we opted to stay. It was unfortunate that between the smoke and deodarizer we woke each morning with a sore throat. Our room package included breakfast which was more than adequte each morning. One note would be that the dining room chairs are heavily stained and riped. The chairs need to be replaced. I booked and paid for the room in advance. I booked this hotel because I thought Holiday Inn would have good service. We were attending a wedding in the area, and when we arrived to check in every minute counted for us to get in the room, get ready and leave to arrive at the wedding on time. Check in went quickly as we were the only ones at the reservation […] desk. When we got to the room and pushed open the door, the room was filthy. We were given a dirty room. When we went back to the desk, the attitude was one of "Oh well". We did get a "I'm sorry" but did not feel it. Obviously, we were rushing now to get ready for the wedding by the time we got to a clean room. We will be attending another wedding on this coming Thurs. Aug. 25 and thought of staying there, but after the service, I am going for the Four Points by Sheraton. I was wrong about this Holiday Inn. Not all of them give good service, and this one did not. I recently stayed at the Hotel and would recommend it to anyone. It was clean, affordable and close to highways. I only had breakfast there once and it was perfect. Again, affordable and very good. I had stayed at another Holiday Inn in March and decided to stay at this one because it was less money and I do not regret it. I will stay again.
