Days Inn Asheville/Mall Asheville

Most folks don't care about this, but we both work outevery day. We couldn't use this one at all. It smelled smokey. It had 3 pieces of equipment, which looked like they came from Wal-Mart. 2 were broken (no power cord on one). We left after one night. The staff was friendly and the cleaning service pretty good, but everything in the room dated from the 1970s and lots of things were broken. Think, uncomfortable, pilly sheets and small, rough towels. Room smelled funny when we walked in, like a flea-bag hotel. But the complimentary breakfast was great!

We were extremely satisfied with this hotel. They did everything possible to accommodate us. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We traveled with dogs and they had nice areas where we could take them. The free breakfast was amazing and better than most restaurant meals. We will definately stay here again.

Family of 5 in small room with double beds. Rooms were fine except pillows. Bring your own. The included breakfast buffet was absolutely wonderful. I travel a bit and normally would spend $15-20 for a breakfast buffet of this caliber. Feeding my family of 5 with options for all tastes was excellent. This overpriced facility is old and shows its age. The exterior paint is flaking off. The pool water was brown. The room had a worn out look. The only thing I can say good about this motel is that the breakfasts were good, although the orange juice was watered down. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone.

Beds couldve been bigger...it was tough putting 3 kids in a bed..ages 6-9...ac didnt work too well either..had to run the fan all night

Hotel was clean, well kept. Staff were very attentive. Breakfast buffet was the best I've ever had at a motel. Everything was terrific ... except the bed! It was horrible. Sagged toward the center. Felt the springs. I'd have given the this a 4.0 rating had it not been for the bed.

This is a perfectly fine place to stay if you are passing through or don't want to spend a ton of money on a room. Stayed here for three nights and it was worth saving the extra few bucks. Very close to downtown and right off the highway (so, easy to find if driving). Cons: The wi-fi is the room did not work at all- had to go sit in the lobby. Also, […] this hotel boasts "free hot breakfast in Asheville". Being free, can't really complain too much, but it was pretty terrible. It was very poorly presented (utensils just randomly in a basket for people to stick their grubby hands into, butter and jam were not individual packets, but rather, just giant bowls of them- again, for everyone to stick their grubby knives into). I'd suggest heading downtown to Tupelo Honey for breakfast/lunch/dinner and also Early Girl Cafe. Continua a leggere

The room was upgraded with the new wood floor, but was it. The bathroom was terrible. It had peeling paint and did not have an exhaust fan. There were not enough outlets and the outcovers were either broken or missing. We had 2 double beds and 1 day housekeeping made one bed but not the other. The hotel was in a good location, reasonably priced, and had a decent free breakfast, but our room wasn't very clean (we found popcorn under the bed, the floor mat in the shower was full of mildew, and a towel had a big, red stain on it). The pack-n-play they provided for our child was quite stained as well and they didn't offer us any sheets/blankets […] with it. Unlikely to return to this location. Continua a leggere

yea I am not a neat freak and could careless if the room is spotless, but was up to my par. The staff let me have late check out. close to the asheville downtown area and seemed to be in a good part of town. the breakfast was truly a site to see with maybe 40 to 50 items; 3 kinds of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, 4 kinds of cereal, fruit,biscuits and […] gravy. Good price and included breakfast was excellent with good coffee (a must!). Hotel staff was knowledgeable and provided good maps and directions. We were very satisfied and would definitely stay there again when visiting Asheville.

The hotel shows signs of age, but it was clean. The complimentary breakfast was good for a hotel like this one. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, through an oversight in booking, we had a smoking room (did not know smoking in rooms was still allowed), so we had to put up with the odor during our visit and on our clothes after leaving. […] The hotel was fully booked, so they could not move us to a non-smoking room. This hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood but close to the heart of downtown Asheville. The price is worth it if you don't plan on staying in the room very much. Room was clean enough but sink did not drain and the overall maintenance of the hotel was a little sub par. Rooms were above average and the location was pretty convenient to the places we wanted to go. I had expected hardwood floors from the pics that were online when this motel was selected, but the 2 rooms we had were carpeted. The hotel is centrally located to everything. It is clean, neat and kept up. You can not beat the price & the breakfast is AMAZING!! 5 different cereals, coffee, hot cocoa, cappuccino, eggs, bacon, sausage, 3 kinds of pancakes, waffles, pastries, breads, biscuits, bagels, oatmeal, grits, lots of fruits, cottage cheese & the list goes on and on....

I booked this hotel because of its location, free wifi and breakfast. The location was great but the breakfast was just okay and there was no wifi access in the rooms. The hotel was older, which is fine, but they need to do some up keep on it. The beds were ok for one to sleep in, but you put two people in the same bed and it was about like sleeping in a bowl, very uncomfortable! The food was awesome and the service was great!! They just really need to improve or update their beds and toilets.
