"Nice place but needs some smoking rules"
A nice Hotel clean and friendly staff, Only one thing I wish there was an area on the Casino floor where there would be No Smoking i mean a separate area all together so us non smokers can enjoy our time also instead of coughing our lungs out and smelling like u just came out of a Hooka lounge. And then suffering for the next 2 days with a soar throat […] with smoke taste in your taste buds and itchy water eyes! I don't know why Casinos never take this into consideration being that most people don't smoke and just say 33% of people do smoke? And those that do smoke make the whole place stinky and we have to breath in second hand smoke it's not fair to the rest of us that want to breath normal air! So make it fair so both parties can enjoy your Casino's , Me personally i can't stand more than 30 min then i have to go outside for fresh air, And if you sit at the tables and then someone comes next to you and starts smoking a cig or cigar it ruins your play time cause u have to leave so in turn the casino loses money and potential profit from restauraunts to gambling to every other thing and people might not come back? This was a nice big room that I got on a 48 hr sale for a great price. We had originally planned on 3 in the room with a teenage son, so the "privacy curtain" between the king bed and sofa sleeper in the suite was an attractive sell. We stayed at the Grand Sierra twice in a month for volleyball tournaments. We stayed in the lower levels rooms the first stay then the higher level summit rooms the second stay. "Not impressed"
I have stayed at Grand Sierra in the past. This time, however, I was disappointed. Booked the hotel through Hotels.com and when arrived, they gave me a suite for two people, kind of odd. The room was big but nothing fancy. Then I noticed the bed was small and called front desk to ask and the lady said it was a king size. I still felt the bed was small […] so I called again and was told it was a king size. My wife and I could not sleep that night because the bed was small and secondly, the middle of the bed sunk down like a valley. I could not sleep that night and had to sleep on the couch and woke up with a bad back. I looked for the tag on the bed in the morning and saw it was 60x80, looked up on the internet and it was a queen size bed instead of king, which made more sense. I called front desk again and asked for the manager who then told me that it was a queen size. I asked her about the old furniture and she said the room was remodeled with new furniture 3-4 months ago but I think that was a lie also. The bed sunk down at night so it could not have been new furnishing like she claimed. The whole staff from front desk to manager are incompetent. They need better workers there. Summit Rooms are nice! Other standard rooms are horrible!! Service is terrible! 2-3 hour wait for luggage to arrive in room and you cannot use a cart to bring it yourself!! Usually I stay in the Summit Rooms----this time I tried the regular rooms and a lot of work has been done on those room. They have new sheets without holes! These rooms are finally pretty nice.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Great Place but..."
The hotel is great, check in is incredibly slow - always has a long line on busy weekends. The cheap rooms are only $10-$20 less than the better rooms, and the difference is huge. The more expensive rooms have granite bathrooms, modern styling and refrigerators. The cheaper rooms aren't as nice, and have no refrigerators - I would have paid the extra […] for the fridge. "NICE but wish they'd upgrade the old rooms"
Grand Sierra has old rooms (the bottom floor ones). The carpet was filthy and our air conditioner made thump noise everytime we put it on. That's why some of rooms are cheap, we got the older, nonrenovated of the bunch. This was a BARE-BONES room accommodation for the expensive price I paid! The only amenities were a small bottle of shampoo/conditiioner, lotion, and soap. We HAD to pay an extra $10 for a lot of services we didn't need/use. It included two SMALL bottles of water, which weren't even in the room when we checked in. There was supposed to be an in-room […] safe, but that wasn't there either. The thermostat didn't have a face on the dial, so we had no idea how to set the temperature. It took 10 minutes to get the TV working. The vending machine took my daughter's money. The location was away from downtown. Very expensive and not very satisfied.
