very nice hotel. clean rooms with huge comfy beds. great restaurants within walking distance, just ask the very helpful hotel staff. Hotel restaurant leaves a little to be desired. The food was at best warm and not very good. Taxi to the vatican or old Rome for about 20 euros, bus service for 1.5 euros. 20 minutes to 1/2 hour walking. Hotel was very comfortable, staff were polite, beds very comfortable, breakfast if you are staying more than 2 to 3 days becomes very boring as the menu never changes. On the whole all ameneties, shuttle services, restaurantes were great. would make it a return trip.

Lovely Hotel, it is a bit out of the central Rome. We chose it because of the day spa facilities, however we found them not as relaxing as we had hoped for. For a four star hotel we expected more. The room was hot when we entered and trying to adjust the thermostat did nothing. The air, heat unit only gave off heat. The patio door to outside wouldn't lock, but that didn't matter, because we left it open to cool the room. My wife and I visited in early November 2012 with another couple.. This hotel is definitely NOT worth the money. I cannot imagine a family staying in this hotel. Restaurants are very expensive and there is no alternative within walking distance. It was less expensive (with better food) to take a taxi round trip to the St. Peter's Square area to eat. […] House keeping was poor. It was necessary to ask for wash cloths. We left our used towels and wash cloths on the floor so that housekeeping would replace them, but we found that they would sometimes hang them back on the towel racks for us to reuse. We were provided with plastic cups for use in the bathroom, but the cups were not replaced daily. There was no air conditioning in the hotel because "it is no longer summer". We slept with the balcony door open to cool the room at night. Shuttle schedule is limited - both to the airport and to St Peter's Square. We found that a Taxi ride to the airport was a better value. We chose this hotel because we wanted a family friendly and safe experience in Rome. It is a little way out of the city centre but is easily accessed from the ring road and has a large car park. We were disappointed that our children were not allowed at any time to use the swimming pool. As a result, we were not able to access the spa facilities. The […] decor was dark and the hotel is quite large and seems to be used as a frequent cruise ship base. Breakfast was fine with a range of items available, but a bit Americanised, so it we didn't get to sample local products. The shuttle bus is reasonably convenient, the drop off is close to the Vatican, but we found the pick up place quite inconvenient. The "casual" restaurant was pricy, as is all of Rome. This hotel is OK but quite expensive. I was disappointed with the staff because we had trouble finding the hotel, the first time I rang from our car a member of staff was helpful with directions. However we still couldn't find the hotel and when we parked up to ring again the phone wasn't answered several times, then when someone did answer they said […] we were near and then put the phone down on us. We were put to smoking room. Didnt want one. Then the room had water coming in from the bathroom above us. Great! Hot tub was cold... Had to wear a shower cap its the rules and you feel like a fool wearing it.

Lovely hotel clean and friendly. Breakfast you had a lot to choice. Although the evening meals or snacks were expensive. There is a resturant just outside the hotel which was cheaper. Bus stop outside the hotel as well. there is a bus service at the hotel set at different times for 1 euro per person. Quite a good hotel, with good facilities. Drinks etc a bit on the expensive side but to be expected in Rome. Restaurant menu was disappointing and a somewhat confusing if ordering from the buffet menu. Slightly musty smell in the corridors and room cleanliness could be a bit better. Great outdoor pool area which perhaps could do with a few more sunbeds, […] but a real plus after you have done one of the many tours of Rome in the heat. Located about 5 or 6 kilometers from the centre which meant either the shuttle bus, which only takes you to the vatican area, or taxis if you want to go further into the centre where most of the good restaurants and bars etc are located. This is a good hotel with some good facilities. It is a little far from the city centre but the shuttle service is fine- although the last one from town back to the hotel is very early - 9.15. Hence having to travel back by taxi or public transport. The outdoor pool is a big plus after a hot day of sight seeing. The spa is an added bonus and very relaxing. […] You won't find a good hotel in the centre of Rome with these facilities. Very helpful staff. Swimming pool excellent. The only problem this hotel has is the very expensive bar and restaurant prices. We ate out so it did not effect us but we would have liked the choice to stay in the hotel some nights.

the hotel was far from everything but has convenient cheap shuttle to st. Peter and city centre. there is also a bus stop right in front of it to take you to the nearest metro station, neighbourhood shops or st. Peter.Not for people who cram Rome into 1-2 days. At least take 4-5 days.

Great experience at this hotel-was only for one night - would definitely stay longer next trip. Greeted by welcoming front desk staff who was very accomodating to let us check in 3 hours early; and she gave us a nice room overlooking the beautifully landscaped pool area. We really enjoyed our stay here. Even though it is about 20 minutes away from the heart of the city, we found the hotel's shuttle bus to work out well for us and never had a problem getting to and from central points in Rome. The hotel was clean and quiet. The ATM machine in the lobby was a great convenience as well.

This hotel was fantastic.....staff couldn't be more helpful, they were great, spoke English, free shuttle every hour to and from the city centre they were very polite and punctual, had a free up grade soon as we got there.... We were originally looking for a hotel in or near the city center, but found a great rate for Crowne Plaza and decided to book it. So glad we did! My friend and I were so pleased with our stay, from the second we walked in the lobby until we took the shuttle to the airport on our last day. The hotel was immaculate and fairly modern, and every employee […] was friendly, courteous, and as helpful as possible. We didn't get to take advantage of the restaurants and spa, but we did spend an afternoon lounging by the pool and enjoyed a few cappucino's at the hotel bar. I'm not sure what other hotels are like in Rome, because this is the only one I've stayed at. The decor was modern, yet many things were worn out like the carpets and furnishings. Many surfaces, like the granite in the bathroom, and the reception counters were grimy. However, the bedsheets, towels, and robes in my room were plush and clean. The in-room […] entertainment (including local TV) costs extra. I don't recommend the in-room internet, unless you have your own laptop. It's really slow and hard-to-use. You have to get a bus or taxi to go to any shops, cafes or sights. The staff were very friendly, accomodating and most spoke English. Hotel is clean and comfortable - very nice bedding. Bathrooms are old and outdated, but it's a nice room. Pool is good for relaxing and the shuttle service to the city is wonderful. There is nowhere to walk to outside the hotel, so you are very isolated. Good hotel for kids.

Shuttle service (or taxis) are required to get 'anywhere' off the hotel property, as it is located in a little bit of a cut-off walled suburb outside of the busier Rome areas. The airport shuttle was difficult to find, on arrival - and after calling […] three times, different people (at the hotel) gave different locations, so we and another two parties, were walking from location to location with our baggage for an hour, finally arranged a taxi. What an awesome trip! Wonderful hotel! Everyone was so friendly and helpful! I am not very fluent in Italian and everyone at the hotel spoke English, so it was great! Rooms were very clean and big! This hotel was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was okay but pretty expensive. They had a shuttle that ran to the vatican city in the morning and then the city center in the evening. We took cabs when the shuttle was not running where we wanted to go the cab rides were about 12 euro where ever you wanted to go. We had free internet. just got back from europe, wow cant wait to get back!!!this hotel was easily the most comfortable,big room gr8 pool and spa,shuttel is a little limeted as your a couple of miles to vatican about 7 or 8 euro cab ride!!long walk otherwise very good hotel gr8 bed!!!
