"Travelodge, Erie, PA"
Hotel was dirty and in ill repair. Even the "non-smoking" floors reeked of cigarettes. "Breakfast" was exactly the same items all four days that we were there. Bagels, cereal (2), waffles, juice, coffee, tea. NO fruit or anything else "good for you" - just carbs! Fitness room is laughable...with broken machines. "The Travelodge in Erie smelled bad"
The Travelodge in Erie smelled real musty and moldy. We slept atop the bedding and placed our sweatshirts over the pillows. Very long night. As it was a couple exits down from Peach Street shopping, I thought it would be fine & was happy w/cheaper rate. Not worth it.
"Travelodge Erie - a decent roadside place"
I'm not sure why this place had a number of negative reviews. It was, in my experience, a decent place at a fair price. Its your basic chain roadside motel, but does not pretend to be anything different. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and functional. You get what you (reasonably) expect at a decent price.
I thought the room was okay A/C didn't work very well and it kind of had a smell to it like urine smell sorry
"Travelodge near Erie PA (Not so good)"
For our anniversary we chose to go to Erie and since we had our days packed with activities I didn't think we had to be in an expensive hotel. However the hotel offered very little and said there was an arcade which was a joke that contained a few games from the 80's possibly 90's it seemed. The pool closed at 8pm which I thought was early. The rooms […] weren't the best but didn't appear dirty. I did not want maid service and just went to get supplies for the room myself and when I did they were complaining about me not wanting my room cleaned and didn't even apologize when I told them I heard them. The bed was the most uncomfortable thing and I would have been better off sleeping in the yard. Every day I woke up in pain and felt crappy. Needless to say that after the first 2 nights we went and got another hotel. The only positive thing I have to say is that I requested a fridge and they made sure I had one in my room for not additional cost. Would be a ok place to say one night or 2 but not for long. "Bad stay"
In the time I stood in line waiting to registered, there were 4 other people conplaining about the rooms not being cleaned, quoting of different prices to reservations being lost. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. the morning continintal breakfast was a joke. They had a small area blocked off to get breakfast. As they ran out of certain breakfast […] food, they did not have anyone there to replenish anything. People had to go to the front desk to let them know more items were needed on the tables. Bathrooms are old and need renovations, swimming pool needs major updates. Pool area had holes in certain places with chipped concrete just sitting in the hole. Horrible stay Continua a leggere

ROOM WAS OK. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. DINNING AND LOUNGE WAS DECENT.
Extremely disappointed! - the rate was way overpriced for the quality of service you received- The room and hallway to the room had a strong cigarette smell, when we paid extra for non-smoking - the room was way outdated and the pipes in the bathroom were rusted to verify the last time items were replaced. As far as cleanliness, I could tell that the […] sheets had been cleaned but other parts of the room and especially the bathroom was not clean, there was a stains in the shower/tub unit. The location was great in that it was right of the Rt 90, however it was in a remote section away from the district session, where most of the restaurants were. Stayed here before due to low in season rates, but its condition is steadily declining. This time it took the clerk 3 trys to get the electronmic key to open my room; I mean making 3 sets to get one to work! The breakfast would be one to skip if the hot waffle maker was omitted. "Good value"
There's no disguising this is a cheap motel, but that meant a much lower price--about half of what other budget chains in the area were asking. The staff was friendly. The layout of the buildings is interesting, giving it a rambling, residential type feel with well-placed common areas. But don't expect anything like luxury, or everything to be shiny […] new and clean. You KNOW you're saving money by staying here, but everyone is good-natured about it. Nothing fancy, but clean and the bed was comfy and the temperature good. Staff were great. Certainly good for the price. I would stay again.

"Erie helped a lot"
I had called and asked to have a first floor room because I have a hard time with stairs and we were getting in after mid night. Not only was the room on the first floor but right near the front desk. Kudos to the staff!!! Would like them to add real cream for the morning coffee.

Had to wait 20 minutes for someone to check us in, no at front desk , dialed 0 on front desk phone,and was told we had to wait for them to come back to front desk to check in. this was at about 12:00 - 12:30 Friday night. The trash at end of the hall needed emptied when we got there, and was all over the floor when we left! Never was emptied.

Gross hotel! Needs lots of repairs and updating. Our first room didn't have a working toilet. The seat had blood on it and the walls were dirty with who knows what! The hall had pieces of tile missing and smelled of cigerettes, even though we requested non-smoking. We did call and get another room. The pool area was in poor shape. "Travelodge was really bad!!"
My husband and I went with our kids for July 4th. The room at first glance looked clean. The beds were clean and neat, but the second blankets had holes in them. We had put in a request for a microwave the day before and got a microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot. However, none of them were clean. I called the desk and asked for dishliquid to clean […] the coffee pot myself and was told that there was none. The restaurant was closed for the day and night of the 4th. The game room was not an actuall room. Just a few games in the hall. This hotel was not good enough even for the low price we paid. We would have gladly paid more for a better hotel but the price is nonrefundable. We will not ever stay at this hotel again and will pay more for a better hotel next time!! Continua a leggere

"Clean, comfortable, easy access, good wireless"
The room and public areas were clean and well kept, and the outdoor pool was inviting although I did not use it. The wireless internet service was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel for families and road warriors, especially those with laptops.
The hotel was clean and close to major highway. We found it very quiet at night. Good breakfast offered. Price was great for what we got. Heating was a little hard to get set just right. Would most definitely stay here again.

The pillows on a king sized bed should be king size pillows, not four standards. Stands for the suitcases would be nice. Overall it was ok. Easy access to the highway.

Needed a last minute deal and they had a room available. Hallways were pretty cold and for amenities, very slim. Only one cup and one package of sugar/creamer for coffee maker. Long, cold walk to ice machine. Needs update badly. Took quite a while to warm up room. Cleanliness was a plus.

not a bad place to stay if you are looking for a good quiet night sleep. with a continental breakfast. price is good for the quiet locale. close to shopping, casino,and college venues, and near to Erie events. however the bathrooms are not as clean as they could be so if you are planning more than a shower I suggest you take along cleaning supplies
I am disappointed on our last stay. Our room was on the back of the building, the room is dirty. Heater was not working properly. The room was hot and dry in the morning I had a nose bleed. I will never stay in this hotel again.

This is a good hotel for the money, good value. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool was clean and well maintained. The grounds were well kept but some slobs dropped the trash in parking lot. "Good for Roadtrip Stay"
This place is right off the highway convenient, has an outdoor pool and a decent continental breakfast. Rooms are large and clean. It is not a "destination" as it is not really located by anything other than the highway.

This place is OK for a traveling *man* to sleep, but the area is creepy at night and the neighborhood isn't good. *No* nearby places to eat. Don't be fooled by the beautiful lobby! The rooms are in disrepair with holes in the carpet and walls. The bathroom sink barely drained. The TV remote was taped together because it was falling apart. The heat […] in the room could either be off or on 100%; there was no middle ground. They did have a make-your-own waffle station as stated by a previous guest, but that does not make up for the brown bananas and bruised apples. Nor does it make up for the loud "hostess" who spent most of the time I was there talking loudly on the phone with someone and the rest of the time complaining that she had to clean the waffle maker after I used it. "Cheapest place worth staying in, in Erie"
This place was not as good as I expected, based on comparing the rates to other cities I've stayed in, but for Erie it was priced pretty well. The shower was a little inconsistent with temperature, and leaked even when all the way off. Some of the normal furnishings I'm used to were missing, such as refrigerator. "Um, definately needs improvement!"
Location was convenient and easy to find, the lobby was decieving, it looked really nice, but once we got to the room it was run down, the comforter smelled, the carpets were black and dirty, the shower did not drain at all so we had to keep turning it off, the toilet seat was chipped, dirty, and old. Not to mention it would flush itself randomly and […] run half the night. The beds were really hard to sleep on, and I don't even have a bad back! The floor would have been much more comfortable. "Outstanding Workers!"
Ok, it's a one star hotel. BUT where else can you get a continental breakfast with a "make your own" waffle station among all other breakfast foods you can think of? Also, the workers here were all fantastic! Every one of them were nice, said good morning, were pleasant. Worth a stay at this price. Fantastic!
