Alcuni piccoli nei (lo scarico del lavandino otturato ed una lampada a parete fin troppo sporgente e quindi pericolosa, perché ad altezza d'uomo) non offuscano i pregi di questo hotel ben tenuto, con personale disponibile e in una posizione comoda per raggiungere facilmente ogni punto di Londra. Direi sostanzialmente positiva la mia esperienza a parte un attimo di panico al mio arrivo, quando al momento di pagare mi si diceva che l'importo specificato era per una sola camera anzichè due come chiaramente specificato nel fogli di prenotazione. L'albergo è in una posiziona buona, non troppo lontano dal cuore di londra e con una stazione della metro a 100 metri di distanza. La stanza era microscopica e scarsamente insonorizzata rispetto alla stanza vicina, da cui era separata tramite due porte (per fare nell'eventualità due stanze comunicanti). La pulizia generale della stanza e dell'hotel […] era sodisfacente, ma non eccezionale. C'è un particolare cheho trovato "scandaloso", consistente nel fatto che il frigo bar era chiuso a chiave e poteva essere utilizzato solo dietro il pagamento di 15£, così che se avevi una bottiglietta di acqua comprata all'esterno, eri obligato a tenerla al caldo. This hotel is stunning from the lobby, restaurants, bar to the rooms. The area is very nice and Regent's Park is a few minutes away by foot. I thought it was unfortunate that the wifi internet access fee was so high. There were also some organizational problems with the front desk regarding our reservations.

My family and I enjoyed the hotel staff and location is fantastic, but for one thing. Hotels.com, and I just checked again before posting the review, says "pets accepted." When selecting where to stay we checked this box. We checked in holding our small dog and only later in the evening when coming back in from a walk, a bellman told my wife dogs were […] not allowed in the hotel. We said we checked in and she gave our room number. Later that night I received a call from the duty manager, who started to explain additional charges and fees as this was against policy. I told her the issue and she said she would check it out and call me back in 5 minutes. True to her word, she did and realized what I had said was true and apologized for bothering me. She handled it well, as was consistent with very professional staff we encountered, but it just did not make us feel very good. However, a week later I still see "Pets Accepted" under the hotel information, thus I am writing this review to help ensure no one else is caught out and it gets changed to reflect the hotels policy. Good loaction if you are coming into Euston station or leaving from there. Nice rooms, if small - some noise,but to be expected given its location. Range of restaurants and pubs nearby - New Diorama worth a visit in Triton Square.

The White House is a great hotel full of character from a by-gone age. Near to Regents Park and a with a fine bar and restaurant this is a hotel not to be missed.

A room on the small size. but very good value. Two maintenance problems - heating and hot water, lack of both was dealt with speed and alacrity. Good location and will return.

The Melia White House Hotel in London was absolutely oustanding. Everyone in the hotel was willing to help. Extremely good service. The meals were great as well. The location was central and from it it was easy to go all over. I will definitely go back to that hotel. Melia is a great chain of hotels from Spain and this hotel is no exception.

Excellent restaurant and ambience although head waiter was a bit miserable.

I was very impressed when i found that the hotel was just round the corner from great portland street tube station, making it easier to get to. The only thing was that unless you upgrade your room you can only check in at 15:00, this is a bit later than what i'm use to checking in at compared to other hotels. Apart from that I would defiantly stay […] there again, the room was really clean and had very comportable beds. The staff are very helpfully and look after your bags at no extra charge compared to some hilton's i've stayed at. Thanks for a really enjoyable stay. Continua a leggere

Excellent staff friendly and helpful. Great location next to 2 tube stations and within walking distance to Oxford Street and Regents Park. The hotel is lovely the rooms are small but very comfortable.

A grea value luxury hotel this one. Good location central-north London with good tube links. Clean, smart and decent (although not large) room sizes - much better value than some similar hotels over Kensington way that are further afield and more expensive. I guess it could be the fact that this isn't a "prestige" postcode location that keeps the price […] down but those that know London will recognise this as a good locaton and place to stay for seeing the capital. A truly fantastic value for money hotel. Excellent staff and fantastic service.

I have stayed here several times. It is good quality and convenient location for Underground trains and walking to West End. Standard rooms are well appointed but very small. Breakfast is very expensive and poor value for the content. There is a lovely Italian restaurant, Demartino, just down Gt Portland street that does a good value breakfast, just […] 5mins walk. My wife and I (US couple) visited London from Tuesday through Saturday, Nov 8-12, 2011. The Melia is located in the Regent's Park neighborhood and had Excellent access to the underground with the Great Portland station just a 1/2 block away (2 minutes). There were 2 other stops within 5-8 minutes in opposite directions. Also, one of the "Original Tour" […] sightseeing bus lines stopped 200 feet from the front of the hotel! The room was a 'superior' double with a king bed and was clean, comfortable & comparable to any "Better" US hotel room. Per Hotel.com it was supposed to have a microwave and small refrigerator, but it only had a minibar fridge without room for additional food. As usual with European hotels, bring your own washcloths! Everything was excellent and enjoyable, but the Internet/wireless fees were way too high.

Lucky to book it at a very attractive price but not so lucky about two weeks later when we came back wanted to stay but the price was more than double. Room is small but ok considering the price we paid.

We recently stayed here on a weekend theatre break and were not disappointed. The hotel is only metres away from the nearest tube, the staff were very helpfull and approachable, the cleanliness was immaculate and although we paid a little bit more than we would normally pay, we would not hesitate to stay here again. Great hotel!

Stayed here for my 30th birthday as easy access to a night out in London town. Wasnt expecting much due to reasonable price but was very pleasantly suprised with the beautiful decor, comfy rooms and friendly staff. Only wish I had more time in the hotel to enjoy it! Would definitely recommend to others.

We stayed for one night while in London. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service. The room was small, but we were only using it to sleep for one night so that was ok. It's also very near a metro stop which makes it convientant. Recommended.

we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. the breakfast was good and lots to choose. location is good and the hotel room we are very satisfied and impressed. nearby Regents Street. Would like to stay at this hotel again and recommend to my friends. WOW ! i love this our rooms were upgraded and king size bed..... Travelling Ladies of 8 !

no 1 helped with are luggage.wasnt very helpful when asking for directions for parking. found a muffin under are bed.we had left some stuff on are bed,when we come back it was made but they had made it with finger roll still in it.was no cover on the light in the bathroom witch meant exposed electrics and a big build up of fluff and dust on the light so […] not good at all to be honest Continua a leggere

Hotel was just prefect for sight seeing as it is near tube ststion, staff very friendly, lovely food but bit pricey, lovrly cafe for food accross the road by tube ststion, rooms small , hotel very good, would return here

I'd not stayed at this hotel for 10 years or more, and was very much looking forward to my stay. The Junior Suite rate on hotels.com was considerably cheaper than the rate I'd been offered by booking directly with the hotel, but on arrival, I decided to upgrade to a Master Suite, with only a small amount of persuasion from the very pleasant and friendly […] chap behind the desk. Although I had arrived early, well before the 3pm check-in time, I was offered use of the original Junior Suite that I'd booked, before transferring to the Master Suite at around 3pm - this was because the Master Suite was still occupied at that point. This latter suite turned out to be a huge room with entrance lobby, distinct separate seating/dining area and bedroom, and 2 bathrooms (although only the larger one contained a bath and two showers). Some of the furniture was looking a little battered and scratched, which is why I have only scored 4/5 for this item. But overall, the decor is rich and lavish, the huge 6 foot wide bed was extremely comfortable and the jacuzzi bath was a nice addition. The air-conditioning was also extremely effective, which was ideal as the outdoor temperature was approaching 30 degrees C! There was also a pillow menu, from which I ordered an anti-snoring pillow (although I was told it was not that effective!) Booking a suite entitled us to use of 'The Level', which is a separate bar/dining area, in which full English breakfast is also served. It is therefore generally quieter than the other public bars/restaurants. An added bonus was availability of complimentary canapes and drinks (including beers/wines) each evening. During the day, tea/coffee/soft drinks and biscuits/fruit are available, together with a selection of books and games. It's a nice place to spend an hour or two, whether alone or with a companion. The breakfast was perhaps not quite as lavish as I had remembered from my earlier visits, but this was possibly as the main restaurant was closed for re Continua a leggere

Good service, excellent location. The only inconvenient is the poor internet service. Charge 8 pounds for a 2 hours connection is a shame!!!!

Service was first class - received an early check in, espceially valued after on overnight flight and the ordeal of Heathrow. First level room was totally soundproof. Room was very clean, fully equipped but small even by European standards. Bar was chic but relaxing. Regent Park and Warren Street tubes were only a few blocks away. Portland Street tube […] stop is closed. Green Man and Pret a Manger one block over great places for casual dining. Always a cab waiting outside if you need one. Overall this is a nice hotel. The ambience is good throughout the hotel with warm colours, and in particular in the lounge/bar area for that late night drink/coffee. Service was let down badly one evening with very poor bar service, but other than that one event, the hotel staff are excellent and helpful. The bathroom we had is not only the smallest […] in the world, but also an accident waiting to happen. The gap from the bath to the main bathroom floor is tiny. One foot on soapy bath and one on bathroom floor, created a hazard for me. Older folks might be unable to use the bath/shower as a result. The tube station (Great Portland Street) is very close.
