My stay at the RADISSON was very nice and everything I expected.

"Not bad for the price..."
We stayed here twice - once on the way down to Florida and once on the way back from Florida the following weekend. The first stay was awesome. The following weekend, however, we had a different experience. The first room we were in (we switched rooms to be next to my sister's room) had a slight odor. It was clean but there was a definite odor in the […] air. We switched rooms within about 30 minutes after checking-in when we realized my sister was being put on another floor. The second room didn't have the odor but the A/C was frozen and wasn’t cooling the room enough. It was still around 73 in the room so it wasn't like it was hot in there or anything. We stayed in the room as we were dead tired and it wasn't too hot in there. They comped us breakfast the next morning to help make up for the frozen a/c unit. My sister’s room had a slight odor almost like cigarette (even though it was a non-smoking room). There were signs posted in the hotel that night saying they were aware of the odor issue and had people working on it as it affected the whole building and not specific rooms. On a side note, the maintenance guy told me the hotel just changed ownership within the last month or so and the previous owners had it for 8 years and they sucked. He said they nickle and dimed the place and refused to put money into outside of small repairs. He said the new owners already have plans in place to do a complete renovation of the hotel inside and out over the course of the next year. Continua a leggere
"Hotel Tries Hard but..."
We love Charleston and spend a lot of time there. This time is the second time I tried this locaton since I was mixing business with pleasure. The hotel tries really hard and has some nice amenities but it is in North Charleston and the surrounding area is very poor. If you need to stay by the airport, the Embassy is much better, this is on the main […] saide of the airport while the Radison is on the Rivers Ave side. If you don't have to stay in North Charleston go to Mt. Pleasant, even with the new road construction it is far and away better. You can do Isle of Palms, Folly Beach, the Battery all in minutes whereas the Radison is not so convienant. Also there is nothing but chain food restaraunts over by the mall and nothing on Rivers that I would send anyone to that I liked. It is not the Hotel's fault, it's just a bad area. Continua a leggere
"Overrated"
Grossly overrated. Stayed 2 separate nights in different rooms. Both rooms had leaking bathroom fixtures and one even had a cracked sink basin. Difficult to drive to from airport as it is located off the normal highway. Would not recommend nor ever stay at this particular hotel again!
Very disappointed and it should not have any higher rating than a 2. Stayed 2 separate nights (different rooms) and in both cases the bathroom sinks leaked. One of the sink basins was cracked! Also, too far from airport and it was not easy to find.

"Close to airport"
Nice to have a very friendly desk personnel. Nick was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Would stay again.

The staff at the front desk were extremely nice and helpful. The room left a lot to be desired. It smelled of stale, old smoke, almost as though in a former life it was a smoking room. Also, the rug was very stained and very dirty. The beds were Sleep Number beds and were annoying to set and kept resetting themselves everyday. It was close to the highway […] and minutes from the airport, however, the neighborhood got a little sketchy when the sun went down. Housekeeping came when we were sleeping in about 10am, not a problem, but did not return. Indoor pool was cold in relation to ambient inside air temperature. Have been there three times this year and the television reception is not good. Would not stay at the normal rates for any reason, but with Hotell.com rates it was worth the price. The hotel was very convieniant to the interstate, fast food and attractions. The staff was friendly and everything was clean and well kept. We could not have asked for better for the price we paid!
the airconditioner blew up! They switched us to an adjacent room - but offered no help. We had to shuffle our belongings over at midnight by ourselves.

My stay at the Radisson Hotel in Charleston was excellent. The staff was very professional receiving my wife and I. From the door man to the front desk, the staff was very polite. The rooms were very neat and clean. I also enjoyed the staff in the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonable.

"money worth"
Staff was great, the hotel was fine for the money... I have stayed in worse. Got what I was expecting. pros: indoor pool, restaurant, pool table, sauna. Convenient to shopping and 26 and 526. cons: cable channels not working, toilet handle broke. smelled like stale ashtray.

"much nicer than it looked"
The outside appearance did not look as nice as the hotel was. The pool / hot tub was superb! The staff friendly and helpful. The shower pressure was the best we've ever experienced in any hotel. The worst thing was the uncomfortable beds. Next to the highway but not noisy, only miles away from a lovely shopping area. We'd come here again!

The hotel is more than a bit shy of the usual Radisson standard. The carpet, linens, towels and some of the fixtures are a bit dated and could use some cleaning. There's not much in the area except some fast food joints but that's average for this area. The air conditioning has an on-off cycle which either made it too cold or too warm. What impressed me most was the Sleep Number bed!! Many times I have a problem with my back because the beds are too soft. By adjusting the bed, I felt great the next day!!!

The room was clean enough. BUT the one queen bed seemed to be missing a mattress! There was only a VERY hard mattress or box spring - no one could sleep on that. "Major disappointment"
This was one of our worst hotels.com experiences. There was trash on the bathroom floor when we walked in. The sleep number bed and the pillows were very uncomfortable. Neither the older cooling system under the window or the thermostat on the wall did an adequate job of taking the heat and humidity out of the room. Needless to say, we had a sleepless […] night. Also, our only view out the window was a collection of trash dumpsters. We had reserved a room with two queen beds, and they asked if we'd take one with a king. I'm surprise Radisson put their name on this hotel! It was run down and the attempts that had been made to update where a joke! The first thing I noticed were the grey room doors; they looked like service doors. The bathroom was so small there wasn't even room for a garbage can! The sleep number beds sounded like they were working but we all ended up […] sleeping in a big dip. Didn't think any of the staff went out of there way to be helpful or friendly. "Radisson Charleston SC Airport - good value"
We stayed there for a long weekend. The kids really enjoyed the pool which was clean, well maintained and always had fresh towels. The beds were really uncomfortable. The rooms were renovated but the renovations only partial; old CRT TV and other negatives. Neighborhood crummy but nice stores within a few miles. Good value

"Great airport hotel"
We stayed here with a 6 am flight the next morning. Great free shuttle service and even coffee, breakfast bars and fruit for on the way.

I was pleased with my stay. The staff was very cordial and the facility was clean and pleasant. I stayed four nights and the housekeeping staff was very respectful of my belongings. I will certainly stay on my next visit.

"Bang 4 your buck"
I was satisfied with the overall value for the price of the hotel. They were conviently located near other shopping areas.

Two exits down from Outlet and close to downtown area. Housekeeping was lacking-no tissue, had to call and get some. Dirty glass left in bathroom. Overall, worth the cost paid on that reservation.

"Hotel in North Charleston, SC"
The staff at this hotel were very nice and helpful. The beds were clean, but "Sleep Number Beds" are not comfortable. The walls in our room were very dirty, even a shoe footprint on the bathroom door. Convenient to airport. Asked maid for extra toilet paper and extra washcloth, but she did not do as we asked and we had left her a generous tip.
The sleep number beds in my room were not at all comfortable. Housekeeping service was, in my opinion, below average. Overall, I was satisfied with my hotel stay.
Hotel was convenient. I am still not used to the adjustable beds and they don't seem as comfortable as other beds. Otherwise, nice hotel, good price and coupons for carriage ride were great to have.

"A less expensive way to have a nice hotel"
A nice hotel for a trip to Charleston, SC that's less expensive than staying downtown. Problem: in the evenings it was cold in the atrium with the indoor pool and hot tub, which were both at very nice temperatures. We were told that a repairman had come about the problem, but didn't fix it. But each morning the temperature was fine.
