I stopped at this hotel as a last resort after driving all day from Texas. The condition of the hotel was poor to say the least. The room had a strange smell, the curtains were not hung properly and there was a huge gap exposing my room to anyone from the outside (I had to hold the curtains together with a hair clip). I can think of better hotels more convenient to ATL. It's nothing more than a cheap motel. Breakfast was free, but it was really inferior. Surrounding neighborhood was not good. Staff was nice enough but I would skip this place. Too many other better choices around ATL.

The room was very hot even with the ac working all night and not one drink in any of the vending machines in the entire building. The ice machine worked fine though.

The place looks somewhat old and run down. When I reached my room it was quite hot inside - the A/C was off on a day where the temperature had hit 95. My room had a slight odor to it. This was false advertisement. The pool could not have been used in years. It was so nasty that my boys thought water mocusions would be coming out. We were told there would be some sort of breakfast. Well there was orange juice in a machine and coffee. It was not at all what we expected from their web site.

Doesn't look like the picture...pool was overgrown with algae, a/c had no knobs, mold, etc. A REAL DUMP I can't recommend this place other than it was cheap...but it should've been free.

I booked this hotel because it was the cheapest at the time. When I booked it, it said it had a pool, laundry facilities, and a Denny's right in front of the hotel. The airport shuttle is free and 24 hours, but its on the hotels time, not yours. The staff was very nice. On our 4th day there, a fire broke out in the hotel room above ours..it nearly destroyed […] half my clothes and other stuff I had there from the water damage. When my husband went to wash the clothes, the front desk said the didn't have any detergent or dryer sheets, plus mist ofthe machines were out of service. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There are only 3 place to eat within walking distance : quiznoes, subway, or a cafe that is closed at 3pm. If u only need to stay one night, this hotel will do. Continua a leggere

We had two stays at this hotel. We chose the hotel because of the price (cheap), access to the airport and MARTA (light rail to Atlanta). The hotel is worn and in need of upgrading. The breakfast was poor. The price was great! The staff was wonderful and did all they could to make our stay enjoyable. The airport shuttle was great and we used it to […] get into Atlanta via MARTA. The neighbourhood is not good. It would be difficult to stay here without a car. There is no where to eat within walking distance of the hotels. Good restruants are about 8-10 miles away. We were gone for two days and when we returned there had been a fire. Our last two nights only 1/2 of the hotel was open. On the last night of our stay a large truck was parked near our room with the motors running and was nosiy. I called the front desk and they had the driver to move the truck. It was difficult to find the hotel and was difficult to get out of the hotel to the main highway. Even with all the negatives the stall was warm, freindly and very helpul. Continua a leggere

It's a cheap airport hotel. It's a bed, and the water is hot. Don't expect much more. They do offer long-term parking for another reasonable fee (not sure for how long, two weeks I think?) which is a good deal. Park and Fly package. One disappointment though is that they only have one airport shuttle, and it's 10+ minutes to the airport, so they only […] run once every 30 minutes. Not a big deal unless you're trying to get every last minute of sleep for an early morning flight, but hurts if you land and walk out to the shuttle stop and have just missed it. You'll be waiting 30 minutes, then 10-15 to get to your car. You'll be wondering if the $ spent was money well saved at that point. Continua a leggere

great price for what you get! very convenient access to freeways. Staff was nice and very pleasant. easy for a quick stay at a cheap price. Not too much to it but a great place to lay your head

The hotel is in an older building that could use a little work. Overall the condition of the room was acceptable and worth the price. The value of this hotel (in my opinion) is its nearness to the airport & 24 hour free shuttle service. That alone is worth the other minor issues. I throughly enjoyed my stay!! It was quiet, clean and convient!!! I'm planning another stay very soon! Thank you hotels.com and Days inn for a great experience!

The room was faily inexpensive. although we only stayed here to sleep so we really spend much time in the room. The only thing wrong was the fact that the fridge and the microwave were didconnected, so we had to wait for the fridge to cool.

This hotel is ok. No problems whatsoever. The free shuttle makes it very convenient if you just need to make a night connection.

The hotel was great, nice and clean but we waited for over an hour in the cold outside of the airport for the hotel shuttle, which is unacceptable. All the other hotels had 3-4 shuttle trips made before ours arrived the first time. The hotel said it was due to shift changes, but it was only 12 min. from the airport. Unacceptable! I had to put a hanger on the curtain just to keep it close. Other than that the stay was ok the free breakfast cereal and donuts toast coffee and orange juice at low price and hide away location loved that.

Didn't realize the hotel had no surrounding business, however the shuttle service was really beneficial. The staff was friendly and courteous.

if you need a few days rest with no disturbances and don't mind the lack of expensive decor then this is a great hotel for that purpose. No restaurant on premises. Free coffee 24 hrs. Computer was down. Oakwood Cafe great food and service. Free 5 min shuttle ride. But not available during the day on sat. Take out will deliver. Great people

My mistake was thinking that the hotel was in better shape than it was and to that I am at fault. The rooms were not so bad but lacked a working remote for the television and an iron which is standard in all the rooms. Also, the refrigerator and microwave did not work because the outlets that they were to be plugged into weren't working so any l wanted […] to keep and eat later could not only not be reheated but couldn't be stored. The biggest thing was the room was extra hot, even when we turned the heat off, there were night that I woke up in a sweat and the heat was off. Let me start off my saying that the staff was mostly friendly and the room was clean...but thats all the positives I can say about the Days Inn Airport East. My review is in three parts. 1.) The hotel advertises a "24 hour complimentary shuttle that runs on the hour"...this is a lie. I was using the shuttle to get me to and from the airport MARTA (subway) […] station, and each time I called the shuttle FROM the Airport it took over an hour to get to me, negating the "hourly" promise...while waiting, I saw many shuttes from other "cheap" hotels arrive 2-3 times before Days Inn East showed up once. Upon checkout, I left my room at 9:45AM to take the 10AM shuttle to the airport and even checked with the desk who assured me it was coming. It showed up at 10:42 and waited until 11 to leave again, making me late for my flight. 2.) The hotel didnt have basic forgotten items like toothpaste nor is there any place within walking distance to buy needed items yourself...They advertise 24-hour restaraunts like Waffle House and Dennys, but neither exist. There is retail/food business within a 1/2 mile of the hotel 3.) They advertise cable TV, and "technically" they are correct, but realistically there were under 10 channels spread all over the channel spectrum without the TV being programmed to skip the 90% static. There was no guide to help figure out the channels and there were no locals as far as I could tell. This is a budget hotel and I realize you get what you pay for, but the way they advertise is very misleading and actually caused me to miss my fight home and the lady at reception didn't seem the slightest bit concerned at my concern over this. The shuttle drivers were very friendly during their inconsistency, so the experience wasn't totally terrible...but I would never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone but a trucker. This hotel was in the middle if nowhere..the room was in disrepair. Very dated looking, old furnishings....not the best of neighborhoods,

Other than being a little difficult to find everything was fine and we would stay there again. Courteous staff, clean and comfortable room.

I needed a room for just a short night as I was getting in late and leaving VERY early on a flight out of ATL. Needed something near the airport and did no need any extras - just a room. I got what I paid for. Room was just okay. Water temp in shower was hard to regulate. Iron worked, for which I was thankful. Bed was not particularly comfortable but […] it served the purpose. No complaints. I was not expecting more than I paid for. But desk clerk was prepared, elevator worked, plenty of parking, quiet room, and I was out at dawn-thirty for my flight. Continua a leggere

Very nice and welcoming. Getting there was a little confusing but overall it was very nice. Everyone was nice and there is a shuttle to the airport. Will return again if in Atlanta.

This was a great value for the price. Defenetly met my expectations. The room was very clean and suprisingly quiet, usually I wake through out the night at hotels, I slept quite well. I will defenetly be returning next year. They had coffee (that was the worst part of the experience), doghnuts, cereal, juice, and toast for breakfast in the lobby.

Staff were friendly. Hotel was clean & comfortable. Was a little tricky to get to - the street appears to have been taken over when the interstate went thru, so had to go to the light, do a U turn, then veer off on the old street to get to the hotel. My GPS was going crazy - but we got there. Hotel was very clean. I was a little surprised to see some […] things repaired that I would have replaced, but I guess that's how they keep the rates low. (Example- toilet seat had some dings/cuts. Instead of replacing, they had apparently put something over the dings/cuts to make them less noticeable. If you plan on spending more time in your room than sleeping and showering I wouldn't recommend this hotel. However, if you just need a room for the night it does its job for the right price.

We had a very long lay over in Atlanta--16 hours. So, we just got a cheap hotel close to the airport to rest in. This fit the bill. As far as comfort goes, the room was comfortable. The hotel is dated, but clean. The continental breakfast was lacking though. They only had fresh fruit and cereal. Other than that, it was fine for the price.

It was cheap, clean, relatively secure. The wait for the shuttle pick up from ATL was an hour, but the drop off the next morning was timely. Breakfast was simple cereal, donuts, OJ, etc. Room was clean, if not new. Overnight was quiet. No food nearby, but delivery menus were available at the desk.

This motel was surprisingly comfortable for the price and location. First, the good things. The price was fantastic. There was a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker in the room. It was clean. Overall, it was an okay place to spend the night for someone who is on a very tight budget. However, it is very isolated - there is a vacant former pub on […] the property, and it is surrounded by woods leading to the highway. When I arrived, there were people loitering on the stairs to the top floors, which made me uncomfortable. Also, there were semis and various cars pulling into and out of the parking lot all night - not sure why. As far as the room goes, the cable was okay although there were several channels that had an odd color balance or didn't have sound. The beds were hard with thin comforters, but not bad for the price. Also, if you have a mold allergy, I would definitely not stay here as the heating unit had a damp smell and there was a huge patch of mildew in the ceiling above the shower. The breakfast had only orange juice, coffee, donuts, toast with margarine and jelly, and some cereal - no bagels or cream cheese. There is no longer a Denny's on the property, as was advertised. Overall, I would only recommend this hotel to people on a tight budget who are traveling in large groups. I made sure that I stayed inside the room after dark. Continua a leggere
