Radisson Valley Forge Hotel King of Prussia

Once you get pass the issue of two of the three elevators breaking down. The ATM ran out of money, Saturday night. And that one waitress, during the Saturday night 'banquet', was very slow. First off, Radisson is "in bed" with the "select comfort" people, putting one of these silly air mattresses in each bed instead of just getting a good mattress. Personally, I hate them and think its a gimmick. 3/4 of the ones I've used in hotels are broken in one way or other, and in this room it was 50/50. The area in front of the hotel is under construction. […] Parking is bad as a result and having driven in at night in the rain, I could not see any signage helping me figure out where to go to park. Room service brought me the worst attempt at a Reuben sandwich I've ever seen. Overall, a 3 out of 5 is the best they get. Continua a leggere

They are currently under renovation. When I arrived they offered me a newly upgraded room. It turned out to be in the basement, next to the (not yet opened) casino, with no windows. It took me a while to find it as it was behind a set of doors that looked like they led to a poorly-kept housekeeping area. The room was OK in that it was recently furnished […] and had a small refrigerator and microwave that fit into the furniture. It would have been nice if they had been put into the spots in the furniture instead of having been left out in the middle of the room. It was late and I was too tired to complain. Finally, the driving directions on their web site take you to a local mall, not their hotel. So, if you like dark, depressing basements, no light or windows, sleeping in what feels like a housekeeping area and having kitchen appliances in the middle of the room, this is the place for you. This hotel has one of the strangest room configurations I've ever seen. When I checked in, the desk clerk asked me "Are you claustrophobic?" I said no. He told me they had an "executive" room downstairs. I said fine. I went to a room with no windows and a strange shape. I had to ask a maintenance man where the room was because of the maze of hallways […] and doors. Simply put, the room was awful. I will not stay here again. Continua a leggere

The good: We drove 10+ hours overnight to arrive at 6am. We were allowed to check in early with no additional fees. Hotel employees were very courteous and willing to offer assistance whenever needed. The bad: The card reader on the room door was functioning only about 25% of the time. We would swipe our card and nothing would happen. Upon informing […] the desk, they tested the room cards and informed us that the cards were good. For about 20 minutes we attempted to troubleshoot the issue only to find out that the battery on the door was loose and was jarred back into place. Hot water issues: I let the water run in the bath tub for literally 10 minutes before the water became any warmer. Once hot water showed up, it lasted only a few minutes before I was forced to take cold shower since apparently there wasn't any more hot water. The thermostat in the room seemed to be wirelessly connected to the AC/heating unit. This would have been fine except whenever the temperature was changed, we had to remove the thermostat from the wall and physically bring it over to the AC/heating unit. Sliding glass door issues: During one night of our stay, there were severe thunderstorms. A large quantity of rain water came into our room from the bottom portion of the balcony door. The people here were quite nice and accomodating.

What we liked about the hotel were several things: the room was surprisingly quiet and could be made very dark, allowing us to sleep in! Although I didn't care for the beds, they were clean, well made up, with generous pillows. I think they were Sleep Number adjustable/inflatable. I don't care for water beds or air beds, but they were OK. We didn't […] like the nightclub on the ground floor. We also did not like that breakfast wasn't included in the price. This hotel is very sub-par. There isn't much to praise about here and there are many better hotels in the King of Prussia/Valley Forge area to choose from. I reserved one king sized bed and ended up getting two fulls. The sleep number beds were ok but much more of a gimmick than anything. The hotel was also extremely noisy and I would have never been […] able to get to sleep without my pair of ear plugs. To sum it up: this hotel is decent if you can't find anywhere else to stay. This hotel is just OK, but you don't have much choice if you want convenience to the King of Prussia convention center. The restaurants at the hotel are mediocre--breakfast is pricey for the location, but the King of Prussia Mall is not too far away and has a much better selection. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The shower is OK, […] but could use a more efficient exhaust fan. If you come into Philadelphia at the 30th street Amtrak station, you can catch Bus #125 on the 29th Street side of the station (the bus stop is overlooking the river). The bus costs $3.50 (versus over $50 for a taxi) and runs about once per hour. There is a SEPTA information booth in the train station which has current bus schedules. Wow the bed was so bad my back hurts 2 days latter

No continental breakfast served as with other nearby places for the same rates. Didnt spend much time in the room at all anyhow but front desk staff were helpful and it was clean. There is a club located there so the crowd on weekends is there... only bad thing- drunk people leaving on fri and saturdays

The hotel staff is friendly and accomodating, the rooms are clean and comfortable to a certain extent. This hotel has sleep number beds, which is great if you already have one of those beds, otherwise you dont know what your sleep number is and therefore you dont sleep. I spent all night trying to find my sleep number and ultimately gave up and had […] one of the worse nights sleep I have experianced in a hotel. In addition, the drain in the shower did not work properly and I had to keep pulling up the metal stopper or stand in shower water. If I had wanted a bath, I would have taken one. Continua a leggere

Hotel was convenient to local highway and to Philadelphia; room was clean and great value for the rate.

We used hotels.com to get a room with a king bed. When we got to the room, it was had two smaller beds. The hotel gave us another room with a king bed but no windows. I was little annoyed that we didn't get what we paid for online.

The Hotel was great -- and in a very good location. The room was beautiful, however in lower level of hotel with no windows. All in all I believe it was a really good value.

smells, decor, and general organization/courtesy could have been improved.

I've been coming here for three years, and I always think it's going to get better the next time I come. Air conditioning did not work, in room movies did not work, food was not very good, wait staff at Chumleys was very understaffed (they did the best they could), lights in the conference rooms were in horrible condition, rooms in general need a severe […] updating for the cost of the hotel per night. The lobby and resturants at this hotel were nice, but the rooms left something to be desired. We were staying for a convention held in the adjacent convention center, so it was convenient, but the "select comfort" beds were not really that comfortable. And the A/C unit was very loud. We found 4 spiders in our room in our 36 hour stay. They should call […] an exterminator and work on the A/C units and everything would be great. Other than that, or stay was good. A little aged but quite presentable. Room service was excellent. I saved a bunch booking on Hotels.com which made it a great value.

The new luxury rooms were okay. It was very hard to control the temperature on both levels and it would have been really nice to have a couch in the living room verses the two unconfortable chairs. I really liked the full executive desk. That was a great touch for those of us that are on business. The shower was extremely cold because of the lack of […] hot water. They told me that it was because the hotel was only at 10% capacity so the boilers shut off until they are needed. Well I think I needed it for my shower but didn't get it that evening. In the morning I left the water running for about 10 minutes before the hot water finally came out. The beds were comfortable. I appreciated the free water left for guests in the room.
